孝恩打開了藏寶箱的蓋子時，魔鬼衝向前試圖阻止。然而，當藏寶箱的內容物揭曉時，魔鬼頓時愣住了；她瞪大了雙眼，露出了驚訝的表情。此時，兩條眼淚緩緩地從她的眼睛流了出來。

「妳哭P啊！愛哭鬼！」好奇的蒂芬尼也趕緊走上前湊熱鬧，看看藏寶箱裏究竟藏了些什麼玩意。事實上，藏寶箱裏的『寶物』全都是羅鵬珠小時候的東西：裏頭放著羅鵬珠嬰兒時期的黑白相片、她小時候玩的洋娃娃、以及收件人欄上寫著『親愛的爸爸收』的信件。對於羅鵬珠的爸爸來説，女兒的一切就是他最珍貴的『寶物』。

Shaun moved the wooden chest out and opened its lid, just when the demon dashed over to prevent them. Then, immediately after its contents were revealed, the demon halted, as if rooted to the spot. Its eyes were wide open and full of astonishment as two trails of tears rolled down its cheeks. 

"Whatcha cryin' about, cry-baby?" enquired Tiffany as she peered into the wooden chest. In fact, the 'treasures' inside the wooden chest were none other than things belonging to Rapunzel when she had been a mere child. There were photos of the baby Rapunzel in her little cradle, including her little dolls and her drawings and letters which were addressed to her 'dearest daddy', things which Rapunzel thought her father, who was a solemn man, never cared a fig about.

蒂芬尼被魔鬼的長辮子繞住脖子，並被緩緩地往魔鬼的方向拉去。於是，她用高跟鞋的鞋跟頂著地面，而且緊緊抓住牀板，防止自己在被往後拉。「快⋯⋯點，救⋯⋯命啊！」蒂芬尼感覺到自己的脖子被越掐越緊後喊道。

「蒂芬尼，妳在撑著點。我們快解出來了！」布萊一邊寫著字一邊説。「等待是一種美德！」

「現在這種情況下不算好嘛！」蒂芬尼一邊回應，一邊靈機一動，將手緩緩地伸入裙子的口袋裏，並掏出一把鋒利的剪刀。

As Tiffany was gradually pulled towards the demon by the latter's long, braided hair, Tiffany dug her heels onto the wooden floorboards and grabbed hold of the bed next to her to stop herself from moving. 

"Hu....rry! H....elp!" croaked Tiffany as she felt the knot on her neck getting tighter. 

"Hang on there, Tiffany, we're nearly done!" replied Blythe as she briefly looked up from the piece of paper. "Patience is a virtue!"

"Nuh....uh.....it.....ain't....right....now!!!" retorted Tiffany as she suddenly had an idea. 

"It's my only hope now!" thought Tiffany as she began to slowly extend her hand inside her skirt pocket.

驚慌失措的蒂芬尼一急之下隨手抓了一個離自己最近的物體～一本書，並朝著魔鬼仍了出去。雖然没有打中目標，因爲魔鬼用妖術讓書本在空中靜止不動，然而，卻成功地分散了魔鬼的注意力，讓它放開了蒂芬尼。這時，敏捷的蒂芬尼從後方抓了一根燭臺，並想起了之前遇過的吸血鬼似乎怕火，於是便像魔鬼揮舞著燭台喊道：「給我下地獄吧，你這惡靈！」

In her panic, Tiffany grabbed the closest object next to her, which happened to be a book, and flung it at the demon. Although the book didn't hit the target, as the demon had stopped it mid-air, it was able to diverge the attention of the demon, making it let go of Tiffany. As agile as a cat, Tiffany exploited her opportunity and grabbed a candleholder from behind her. 

Recalling that the vampire which they have encountered before was scared of fire, Tiffany waved the candleholder threateningly at the demon and gradually advanced towards it. "Go burn in hell, evil spirit!" yelled Tiffany.

羅鵬珠的鬼魂離開後，大夥兒終於可以開始專心解開祕密訊息了。「寫完了！」不久後，布萊停下筆説。「我已經把我看到過的符號都寫下來了。孝恩哥哥，現在我需要你的幫助，我們倆一起把祕密訊息解出來！」

「首先，咱們得先知道這條信息是用什麼語言寫的！」孝恩説。

「船長是英國人，所以極有可能是用英語寫的，」布萊推理道。「可是，在我的夢裏，羅鵬珠跟她的家教抱怨他爸爸每次都特別要她加強她法語的文法。這有可能是在暗示著這條訊息是用法語寫的！」

「完全同意，」孝恩若有所思地答道。「如果我没記錯，英語和法語這兩種語言最常見的字母都是E。所以，咱們得先統計出這裡面出現最頻繁的符號，而那個符號對應的估計就是E没錯。咱們將E統統塡入後，在瞧瞧兒整體看起來是英語還是法語。」 

「幸好我去年學測的法語拿到了滿分，所以希望這次我能稍稍派上用場。」布萊説。「當然啦！我的法語遠不及你呢，孝恩哥哥！」

「爲什麼站在這對表兄妹旁，我覺得自己根本跟白癡没兩樣？」蒂芬尼一邊聽著他們的對話，一邊心想。

Now that Rapunzel's evil spirit was gone for good, they could finally concentrate on solving the hidden message. 

"Done!" Before long, Blythe has finished scribbling and exclaimed, "That's all the symbols on the pages that I've glanced at. Shaun, now I need your help in solving this message." 

"First of all, we need to figure out what kind of language this message was written in," contemplated Shaun. 

"Since the captain of this ship is British, I'd naturally guess that this was written in English," reasoned Blythe. "No, wait! But, in my dream, Rapunzel said to her governess that her father had always laid emphasis on her French grammar. This could be a hint that it's written in French!" 

"You're logic is definitely sound," responded Shaun thoughtfully. "If I remember correctly, the most common letter of the alphabet by far is the letter E in both French and English. So, we should start by making a tally of the most common symbol in this message, which must be E, then we'll see if the rest of the message appears French or English." 

"Luckily, I just obtained an A* in A-Level French last summer, so I hope I'll at least be of some use," answered Blythe. "But, of course, my French is nowhere near as good as you, Shaun."

"Why do I feel like a complete idiot standing next to these guys?" thought Tiffany as she got completely lost whilst trying to follow their conversation.

「現在只有一個可能！」孝恩儘量鎭定地説。「就是有人在捉弄咱們！」

「可是，這裡除了我們以外根本就没別人啊！」蒂芬尼困惑地問道。「該不會⋯⋯是小傑吧？！」

孝恩搖著頭，小聲地解釋道：「恐怕某人，或甚是某樣東西也和咱們在同一艘船上。而且，顯然她不懷好意。我猜是羅鵬珠的陰魂還在這艘船上遊蕩著。」

「我完全同意！」布萊答道。「我有預感她想要設法避免我們發現這艘船上的某樣東西，這可能正是她爲何要綁架小傑哥哥以及把日記本藏起來的原因。她一定有什麼秘密不想讓我們知道。」

「等一下，妳説蝦米？小傑是被綁架的？」蒂芬尼驚叫道。「吼～那個臭三八好大的膽子，竟敢綁架我的小傑！她一定是要勾引他！哼～都幾百歲的老查某了，還肖想吃小鮮肉～眞是不知羞恥⋯⋯」

「幽靈的意識會停留在死前的那一剎那，所以，羅鵬珠不管在這世上幾年了，她的幽靈還是會覺得自己是一位少女。如果咱們想要她放人，就必須發現她的秘密，這是唯一能擊敗她的方法。」孝恩眉頭緊皺地説。「等等，她之所以會把日記本藏起來一定有其典故。莫非，裏頭藏著什麼破案線索？」

布萊回應道：「你記得那些特殊符號嗎？拼起來一定是一則秘密訊息！」

「我想妳所言極是，」孝恩答道。「不過事到如今，日記本也不見了，咱們眞的束手無策了！」

突然，布萊轉身，順手從衣櫥裏拿出了一支鵝毛筆及一張空白的紙，並開始寫起字來了。

"There's only one possibility," said Shaun, trying to act calm. "Someone is playing a trick on us!"

"But, there're no one else here, except for the four of us!" replied Tiffany, bemused. "Surely, it can't be Jeffie!"

Shaun only shook his head. "I'm afraid someone, or should I say, something else is in this ship with us, and it doesn't seem to have come for peace," explicated Shaun, then he lowered his voice and continued. "From what we've encountered so far, I reckon that Rapunzel's ghost is still haunting this place."

"I have the exact same thought in mind," acquiesced Blythe. "I have a feeling that she's trying to prevent us from discovering something, that's why she kidnapped Jeffrey and took away the diary. There must be a secret she's trying to hide." 

"Wait, what? Jeffrey's kidnapped?" exclaimed Tiffany in shock. "OMFG, wtf does that b**** want from ma Jeffie!! I hope she doesn't tryna seduce him!"

"If we want to get Jeff back, we must figure out her secret to defeat her. There's no other way," deduced Shaun, knitting his eyebrows. "Wait, there must be a reason why she took away the ship log but nothing else. I mean....there must be something important in it...."

"The code!" exclaimed Blythe. "Remember the mysterious sequence of symbols? It must be trying to convey a message of some sort!" 

"Yeah, I guess you're right!" answered Shaun. "But, now that she's taken the diary away, there's no way of solving it."

As a response, Blythe turned around, grabbed a letter and a quill from the wardrobe. Then, she turned the paper over, with its plain side facing upwards, and started scribbling something.

發現傑佛瑞失蹤了後，孝恩、布萊以及蒂芬尼立刻開始尋找朋友的下落。他們在船艙裏努力地找，並將每間房間的門都打開來看。他們發現房間內部的陳設都還保留著當時的模樣。在一條陰暗的走廊盡頭的一間房間吸引了他們的目光，因爲只有那間房間的門是白色的。進入房間後，他們發現內部的陳設像是一間書房，房間的正中間有一張圓桌、地板上鋪著豪華的地毯。

「天啊！這就是我夢裏出現的書房！」布萊進入房間後驚訝地説。「羅鵬珠就是在這間書房裏和家教抱怨有關於她爸爸的事！」

「等一下⋯⋯羅鵬珠是誰啊？」蒂芬尼一頭霧水地問道。「吼～這名字眞有夠土氣的啦～簡直比妳的名字還要土耶！」

「噢，抱歉。我之前忘記提到那個紅衣少女的名字就叫『羅鵬珠』。還有這艘船也恰巧叫做『羅鵬珠號』。」布萊解釋道。

「噢買尬～這麼重要的事可不可以早點説啊！吼，眞是的！」蒂芬尼手插腰説。「妳看現在好啦！若小傑有什麼三長兩短，都是妳的錯啦！妳要負責喔！」

After realising Jeffrey's disappearance, Shaun and Blythe, along with Tiffany, immediately ceased their investigation and commenced their search of their missing friend. 

They wandered around the different rooms of the deserted ship's cabin, opening one doors after another and finding them to be exactly as they were when their residents had fled during the shipwreck. 

A room at the very end of a long, winding corridor caught the friends' attention as it was the only room with a white door. After entering it. they discovered it to be a study of some sort, furnished with an Oriental carpet on the floor and a round table in the middle of the room. 

"Gosh! This was the room that appeared in my dream!" exclaimed Blythe the moment she set eyes upon it. "It was in this very room that Rapunzel complained to her governess about her father."

"Wait a sec, who's this Rapunzel?" enquired Tiffany, confused. "OMG, it's such a silly name! I mean, it's even worse than yours, Britney!" 

"Oops, I forgot to mention that Rapunzel is the name of the girl whom we all dreamt about, it's the same as the name of this ship!" answered Blythe apologetically. 

"OMFG! You could've mentioned something as important as this much earlier!" blamed Tiffany, with her arms crossed dramatically. "It's all your fault that ma dearest Jeffie got into danger, you....."

逗留在廁所外的傑佛瑞感到愈來愈寒冷，於是便開始不耐煩了起來。突然覺得有人在窺視著自己，傑佛瑞開始吹起了口哨。然而，他的思緒逐漸轉向之前大夥兒在討論的紅衣少女身上。「她生前長得是什麼樣子啊？」傑佛瑞心想。「她遇上船難時是幾歲？她的名字又是什麼呢？」

突然，一隻冰冷的手搭在了傑佛瑞的肩上，把他狠狠地拉回了現實。傑佛瑞在驚嚇中緩緩地轉頭一望，赫然看見蒂芬尼站在自己身後，臉上掛著詭異的笑容。

「我的天啊！蒂芬尼，你可不可以行行好。別這樣不聲不響地嚇我～我被妳嚇得魂都要飛了！」傑佛瑞看見是蒂芬尼後鬆了一口氣説。「你在摸什麼？動作這麼慢！不是叫你趕快嗎？」蒂芬尼不發一語，只是繼續用著詭異的笑容凝視著傑佛瑞，後者顯然没有注意到她異常慘白的臉。

Loitering outside the bathroom waiting for Tiffany, Jeffrey gradually grew impatient as his body started to feel numb from the cold. Having an odd sensation that something was spying on him, Jeffrey decided to start whistling. However, his thoughts soon wondered off towards the girl in the red dress, which had been the topic of their conversation before Tiffany's stomach rumbled. 

"Hmmm, I wonder what she looks like," thought Jeffrey. "How old was she when she died in the shipwreck? What could her name be?"

Suddenly, a cold hand placed on Jeffrey's right shoulder dragged him back to reality. With his heart in his mouth, he slowly turned his head around, only to see Tiffany standing behind him, with a bizarre smile on her face. 

"Whoa! Tiffany, you nearly scared the sh*t outta me!" said Jeffrey, relieved to see that it was only his friend. "What took so long?" Tiffany didn't reply, she only smiled at Jeffrey, who failed to notice her unusually pale face.

蒂芬尼敍述完她的噩夢後，孝恩也大約描述了一番自己的夢境。當他講到留著金色頭髮的維多利亞小女孩兒時，大夥兒都頓時陷入了一陣沉思。布萊最終打破了沉默，用著興奮地語氣説：「我想我們夢到的是同一個女孩⋯⋯我夢見了一個女嬰，她的媽媽在生下她後就去世了。後來，女孩兒長大後，有一位家教⋯⋯」

「等等⋯⋯那家教是不是留著滿頭白髮？吼，我的天啊，她看起來好老喔，我還以爲是恁阿嬤咧！」蒂芬尼打斷了布萊後問道，布萊只是點了點頭便繼續説：「從女孩和家教的對話中，我發現她和在船上當船長的爸爸並不親，而女孩也認爲爸爸根本不關心自己。在夢境快結束時，她似乎在一個衣櫥裏找到了一本書，極有可能正是她在尋找的她爸爸的日記。」

「從大夥兒的夢境（包括我自己的在內），我推斷咱們都進入了某一個人的記憶裏，估計就是那個金髮女孩兒的。」布萊述説完後，孝恩總結道。「而且我有預感，她就是破解整個迷團兒的關鍵人物。咱們得好好兒分析這些夢境，絕不能放過任何一點兒蛛絲馬跡。」

突然，布萊發現傑佛瑞已沉默了許久，都不發一語。於是她問道：「小傑哥哥，難道你都没有做夢嗎？」

「嗯⋯⋯我不記得了耶！」傑佛瑞緩緩地説。「可是，那個金髮少女聽起來還挺辣的。妳們説她死於船難？眞可惜，這麼年輕就死了！」孝恩皺著眉頭看了傑佛瑞一眼。

「我是説⋯⋯我也没睡好！」傑佛瑞似乎發現自己不愼失言，於是趕緊想轉移話題。「我感覺自己的胸口好悶、呼吸困難，彷彿有人壓在我身上似的。」

就在大夥兒議論紛紛時，他們殊不知有一位臉色慘白、穿著血紅色衣裳、綁著長辮子的金髮少女正躲在角落暗暗地窺視著他們的一擧一動。

After Tiffany had recounted her nightmare, Shaun admitted that he also had a dream, albeit the content was very different to that of Tiffany's. He described the luxurious dining hall seated with Victorian people and, most importantly, the little girl with golden hair who ran away after Shaun had noticed her. 

After Shaun's speech, everyone fell silent into a deep thought. It was Blythe who eventually broke the silence. "I reckon I've dreamt about the same girl, whom you were both talking about," said Blythe as her voice trembled slightly, from a surge of excitement of being a step closer towards the resolution of the mystery. "I dreamt about a newborn infant, whose mother died on the day of her birth, which was the day of Festivus. Also, she had a governess, who....."

"Wait, does her governess have long, white hair?" interrupted Tiffany. Blythe nodded. "OMG, she looks so frickin' old, I thought she was her grandma, LOL!" 

Blythe ignored Tiffany and continued. "From her conversation with her governess, it seemed to me that the little girl wasn't very close with her father, who seemed to be the captain of this ship, judging by his attire, and she seemed to believe that he didn't love her. Then, towards the end of my dream, she seemed to have discovered something in a wardrobe inside the cabin, but I couldn't distinguish what it was. It appeared to be a book of some sort." 

"From the experience of my own dream and the descriptions of yours, I believe that we've all entered into the memory of someone, possibly that of the girl with golden hair," concluded Shaun after Blythe had finished her narrative. "What's more, I have a hunch that she is the key to solving the mystery of this haunted ship. We need to analyse closely every little aspect of our dreams, we cannot let any potential clues slip through our fingers."

「啊！！」蒂芬尼清楚聽見周圍有人在大聲叫著，她睜開眼睛後赫然發現自己在一艘船的甲板上。在昏暗的燈光下，她隱約看見自己置身人群中。海浪拍打著船的聲音引起了她的注意。當她的眼睛緩緩地適應了微弱的光線時，她發現周圍站著許多維多利亞時期打扮的人。

「我的老天鵝啊，這些人怎麼穿得這麼老土啊？」蒂芬尼心想。突然，一陣比摩天大樓還高的巨浪打在船上。

「救命啊！」蒂芬尼身旁一名穿著白色衣服、手拿陽傘的維多利亞貴婦尖叫道：「咱們得趕緊撤離這艘將沉的船哪！」

「糟了！這該不會是一場船難吧！」蒂芬尼心想。「小傑，你在哪裡？我得趕緊找到小傑。這樣我們纔可以重演一次鐵達尼號啊！」

"Ahhhh!" Tiffany heard distinct noises of people screaming, shouting and crying, she opened her eyes to discover that she was back on the deck of the ship. It was pitch-dark around her, but she could just about make out that she was not alone. Noises of violent tides lashing at the ship caught her attention.  As her eyes gradually became accustomed to the darkness, she discovered herself to be  surrounded by people dressed in Victorian-styled attire.

"OMG, why are these people dressed like this?" Tiffany thought, as huge tides of waves taller than a skyscraper came from all sides, flooding the ship with salty seawater.

"HELP!" someone screamed next to Tiffany. "Pray, someone, get us out of this sinking ship!"

Tiffany turned around to perceive a Victorian lady dressed all in white beside her, holding an overturned parasol whilst trying in vain to keep herself dry. "Yikes! This must be a shipwreck!" Tiffany thought to herself. "Where's Jeffie? I must find him! Without him, how can I re-enact the Titanic?"

那是個寧靜的平安夜前夕，周遭的氣氛彷彿裝飾在聖誕樹上的彩球一樣歡樂地閃閃發亮著。貌似全世界都準備好了要迎接耶誕節的到來。然而，在某艘船上的船艙的一間小房間裏，氣氛凝結，並在極喜與極悲中顯示出

強烈的對比。其喜悦源自於新生命的誕生，悲傷則源自於生命的終結；而且，逝者正是新生兒的母親。

一旁的褓姆正努力地哄著躺在搖籃裏不停哭鬧的女嬰，船長～也就是已故女士的丈夫，默默地站在其妻子躺著的牀邊。

It was a tranquil midnight of Festivus, the atmosphere was vibrant with the mood of festivity and the decorations on the Christmas tree were already glittering merrily. It seemed like the world was ready to embrace Christmas. Nevertheless, in one little room inside the cabin of a ship, the atmosphere was tense, contrasted by two opposing emotions - that of joy and melancholy. The joy originated from the birth of a baby girl and the source of melancholy was the death of a lady, none other than the mother of the newborn. 

The nurse was busily trying to calm the baby, and the captain of the ship, also the husband of the deceased lady was standing quietly beside the bed, on which the body of his wife lay. Inside the cradle, Rapunzel cried endlessly, despite the nurse's efforts to try and calm her down, as if she was also mourning for her beloved mother.

不久後，孝恩突然驚覺自己竟在一間維多利亞宴會廳裏。「我在哪兒啊？」他心想。

他隱約聽到周遭的交談聲和遙遠的海浪聲融成了一個和弦，彷彿搖籃曲一般的使人平靜。「海浪的聲音？！那表示⋯⋯我在船上？」孝恩心想。

偌大的宴會廳內有著五花八門的豪華裝飾，不管是奢華的壁紙，鮮紅色的窗簾還是高檔的波斯地毯，以及天花板上懸掛著的水晶燈都別有一番風味。「這是哪艘船啊？」孝恩好奇地想著。

西裝筆挺的紳士以及穿著晚宴禮服的女士們正伴隨著放置在角落的留聲機所播放的『春之聲圓舞曲』歡樂地翩翩起舞。「看他們的穿着，肯定不是現代人，而是維多利亞時期的人。」孝恩推理著。

After some time, Shaun found himself to be gradually walking towards a Victorian banquet hall. 

"Where am I?" he thought.

In the background, the murmuring of people and the mechanical lapping of the tides mingled in perfect harmony, forming the sweet tune of a soothing lullaby. 

"I can hear the sound of tides, so this must be on a ship out at sea!" thought Shaun.

The large room was furnished with luxurious wallpapers, bright red curtains with a lavish Persian carpet on the floor and a grand chandelier on the ceiling. 

"But which ship is this?" mused Shaun.

Men dressed in suits and women in gowns were chatting away merrily as the music 'Frühlingsstimmen Waltz' was being played in the background by a vintage phonograph. 

"Judging from their attire, this must be in the past - sometime during the Victorian era," murmured Shaun.

「如果咱們要在這兒過夜，就得再找另一間房間。」孝恩答道。「因爲這間房間只有兩張牀，不夠四個人睡！」

「我很好奇樓上是什麼耶！」傑佛瑞説。「不如，我們上樓去看看吧！」

大夥兒走上樓梯，他們的每一步都使木板發出詭異的聲音，孝恩手裏的電子油燈發出的閃爍燈光也將他們的身影投射於一旁的牆壁上，增加了幾分恐怖的氣氛。樓梯的盡頭帶領著他們進入另一間較大的房間，其佈置走的是粉色路線：有著粉紅色雷絲邊的窗簾、在房間的正中央也擺放了一張鋪著紫色絨布牀單的維多利亞紅木牀，在臥室的角落則是放著一張維多利亞貴妃椅以及一張小茶几。他們腳底下鋪著一張豪華的波斯地毯。

「哇！這房間好豪華喔！」布萊讚嘆道。

「而且還非常乾淨！」傑佛瑞説。「感覺起來比樓下的那間更乾淨，彷彿這裡還有人住似的。」

"If we're gonna stay here overnight, we'll need to find another bedroom," answered Shaun. "Since there are only two beds here, it won't be enough for four people." 

"I wonder what's upstairs?" said Jeffrey. "Let's go and find out!" 

The group ascended the flight of staircase leading upwards, with each step, the wooden boards creaked deafeningly and the flickering light coming from the oil lamp casted sinister, dancing shadows on the walls. As they reached the top, a larger bedroom than the previous one came into view, it was decorated with pink, floral-patterned wallpapers and white, lace curtains. Situated in the middle of the room was a luxurious Victorian mahogany bed, with violet, velvet duvets, and on the farthest corner was a Victorian long-chaise and a tea table. Underneath their feet was a posh Persian carpet. 

"Wow, this room is really posh!" admired Blythe.

"And it's surprisingly clean, too," added Jeffrey. "It's even cleaner than the wooden cabin! It almost feels like there's still someone living here."

「布萊，妳之前説這艘船啟航時載著1000名乘客，是唄？」孝恩問道。布萊點了點。「那⋯⋯這麼小的船艙，怎能擠進這麼多人呢？」

「你説的有道理，」傑佛瑞説。「祇是，我不理解爲何這艘船明明外表看起來這麼小，卻容納得了這麼多乘客？」

「不錯！這表示船艙內一定還有別的房間。」孝恩回答説。「很有可能那些維修人員還尙未發現這些隱藏著的房間。若眞如此，那咱們有望透過這樣去瞭解當時究竟有哪些乘客，説不定那個鬼影就是其中一位逝世的乘客的冤魂。」

「啊～冤魂！？在哪裡？哪裡有冤魂？」蒂芬尼在睡夢中聽見『冤魂』這兩個字後立刻驚醒，並在驚嚇中雙腳一踹，把腳上的高跟鞋踢得老遠。她的鞋子打在牆上後發出了「咚」的一聲。

「幹得好，蒂芬尼！」孝恩突然稱讚道。「若我没聽錯，剛剛那是空心牆的聲音。快點兒，這面牆後面一定還有別間房間！」布萊和傑佛瑞聽到了孝恩的話後便開始敲打牆面，試圖找出能開啟祕密通道的機關。

"Wait, did you say this ship had 1000 passengers on board when it first set sail?" questioned Shaun, whose question Blythe nodded in affirmation. "Then, this tiny cabin with only one bed certainly wouldn't be able to fit everyone."

"Your logic definitely makes sense," answered Jeffrey. "But what I don't get is: this ship doesn't look that big from the outside - how can it hold so many rooms?"

"Exactly!" answered Shaun. "So, there must be other hidden rooms in order to accommodate this many people. Perhaps, if the decorations crew have yet to discover these secret rooms, we'll still be able to get an idea of what the late passengers of this ship were like to help us identify to whom that ghost shadow belongs." 

"Aaaah!!! Who said 'ghost shadow'?" Tiffany suddenly woke up from a shock after hearing the word 'ghost'. She kicked her feet in her fright, sending one of her high heels soaring into the air. Her shoe hit the wall on the opposite side of the room with a loud thud and fell to the floor. 

"Great job, Tiffany!" To the bewilderment of the others, Shaun suddenly praised Tiffany. "If I'm not mistaken, that was a hollow sound. Hurry, there must be something behind this wall." After Shaun's words, Blythe and Jeffrey immediately started knocking and touching the wooden wall in search of a hidden mechanism to activate a secret passage behind the wall. 

Not surprisingly, Shaun's hypothesis was proven correct. After Blythe has moved a wooden barrel on the side, the wooden wall suddenly slid open to reveal a secret entrance to a flight of steep stairs leading downwards.

"Aha! Now, I get it!" said Blythe. "They reason why they could accommodate so many passengers in such a small ship was because they put all the passenger rooms below the deck. This is also probably the reason why it did not overturn in the thunderstorm - because the ship's centre-of-mass is really low."

"Bravo!!" clapped Jeffrey. "With this amount of knowledge in physics, I'm sure you'll have no problem getting into the university you want."

"Thanks for the praise, Jeffrey," replied Blythe, smiling modestly. "But, somehow, I don't remember you being one of the examiners in my interview!" Everyone laughed at this response, except for Tiffany, who was sulking at the back, reluctant to explore further, but also not wanting to be left behind. 

Descending the steep flight of steps, the group reached a narrow corridor, at the end of which was a wooden door. The hinges of the door squeaked deafeningly like some animal being slaughtered as Shaun pushed open it, revealing a medium-sized bedroom furnished with two Victorian single-beds, a large wardrobe in one corner and an Oriental screen. On the side of the room was another wooden staircase.

"Wow! This looks very old-fashioned, indeed," exclaimed Jeffrey. "I'll bet that, this time, they're the original furniture of the ship."

 Suddenly, Shaun caught a glimpse of his watch, displaying the time and exclaimed in surprise, "Wow! It's midnight already! How time flies when we're doing investigations."

"It's too late to head back home and there doesn't seem to be any hotels nearby," said Jeffrey thoughtfully. "Looks like we'll have to sleep here tonight."

隨後，大夥兒走向整艘船唯一尙未被他們勘查過的地方～船艙。突然，一陣刺骨的寒風吹向他們，蒂芬尼用顫抖的聲音説：「這⋯⋯這裡怎麼突然變得那麼冷啊！」

"We'd better stay together from now on," concluded Shaun. "We don't know who or what is trying to bring us harm."

After this conclusion, the group of friends headed towards the only place that was yet to be investigated in the ship - the cabin. Suddenly, a gust of bone-chilling wind bit into everyone's skin. "Brrrrr....why is it suddenly so cold out here?" Tiffany's teeth chattered.

忽然間，傑佛瑞聽到一陣摩擦聲從蒂芬尼腳下傳出。「蒂芬尼，那是你發出的聲音嗎？」傑佛瑞問道。

「什麼聲音？」蒂芬尼一頭霧水地回問道。

「就是⋯⋯」傑佛瑞還來不及説完，原本牢牢地綁在下方的繩梯頓時斷掉，突然又不知從哪兒吹來的一陣怪風，使得繩梯在大風中猛力地搖擺著。

「啊！！！救命啊！小傑！趕快來救我！」蒂芬尼一邊驚聲尖叫，一邊拼了命似地抓緊繩梯。

Without warning, Jeffrey perceived a scratching sound coming from underneath him. "Tiffany, is that you making that sound?" Jeffrey enquired. 

"What sound?" replied Tiffany, bewildered. 

"That....." before Jeffrey could finish his sentence, the rope-ladder, which had previously been tied to the bottom of the rope gave way. Then, a sudden, powerful gust of wind started blowing towards them, causing the rope-ladder to sway dangerously in the air. 

"Ahhh! Help! Jeffie, help me!" Tiffany screamed as she clutched tightly to the rope-ladder, hanging onto her dear life.

「咱們去艦橋調查一下，説不定那兒有留下什麼線索，」孝恩提議道。

「你説得對，」布萊點點頭説。「那裡是最有可能留下有關船長訊息的地方。」

然而，抵達艦橋後，他們很失望地發現那裡空無一無～不是在船難時被一掃而空，就是被前來裝潢的人員統統淨空了。突然，布萊用餘光瞄到了一個黑影。但當她轉頭一望時，黑影就立刻消失地無影無蹤了。

「你也看到了嗎？」孝恩小聲地説。布萊不發一與，只是臉色慘白、若有所思地點了點頭。

"Let's go and investigate the bridge of the ship, where the steering wheel is situated," suggested Shaun after their investigation near the fake canons were over. "There doesn't seem to be anything here that's worth a closer examination." 

"Yeah, you're right," agreed Blythe. "If we're lucky, we might just be able to acquire some information about the late captain of this ship there." 

On arrival inside the bridge, they were quite disappointed to discover that the place was completely empty, whether due to the shipwreck or simply wiped away by the decorations crew in oder to refurnish the interior. 

Without warning, Blythe caught a distinctive shadow out of the corner of her eye. She immediately turned around, just in time to catch a faint glimpse of the shadow disappearing into the corridor. 

"Did you see that, too?" whispered Shaun in Mandarin, not wishing to let whoever or whatever it was to understand him and realise that it had been discovered. Blythe only nodded gently, her face was unusually pale and her expression was pensive but alert.

從羅爵先生那兒拿到油燈後，大夥兒便紛紛上船，準備開始勘查。

「大家要小心，這裡有一個縫⋯⋯」傑佛瑞還來不及説完，蒂芬尼就被樓梯間的縫隙絆倒，當場跌了個狗吃屎。

After taking the oil lamp from Mr Rogers, the group alighted the ship using the stairs by the side. 

"Careful, guys, there's a huge ga....." Before Jeffrey could finish his sentence, Tiffany had tripped on the gap between the stairs and the deck, falling face-forward for the second time that day.

歷經數小時的車程，大夥兒終於抵達了目的地。下車後，大家紛紛向公車司機道謝，除了蒂芬尼以外，她對司機扮了個鬼臉。

當他們的踏上柔軟的草地時，映入眼簾的是英國鄉村的風光。綠意盎然的草地被些許的樹點綴著。在遙遠的地平線，溫暖的太陽正漸漸地消失中。

「哇！這裡好美呀！彷彿置身仙境一般！」布萊不禁讚歎道。當公車緩緩開走後，大夥兒頓時感到一陣寂靜。

After several hours, the group of friends finally arrived at their destination. Hopping off the bus one by one, they all thanked the driver, except for Tiffany, who stuck out her tongue and made a face. 

As their feet touched the lush, green carpet of grass, what came into view was the majestically picturesque scenery of the Shropshire countryside, where, dotted here and there, trees scattered all across the landscape. In the faraway horizon, the amber sun was slowly sinking.

"Wow! This feels like a wonderland!" admired Blythe. Only when the bus gradually drove away were they suddenly engulfed by a suffocating sensation of solitude.
