The old lady, having mistaken the little boy to be a thief, ran after him and leapt with all her might onto him. "Caught ya!" She shouted.
誤以為小男孩是小偷的老太太奮不顧身地撲上去，並將小男孩撲倒了。「抓到你了吧！」她大叫道。
Then, the old lady grabbed the boy and started spanking his bottom.
隨後，老太太便抓起小男孩並開始打他的屁股。
"I'll teach you not to be a thief, little boy!" the old lady scolded, "You might hate me now, but you'll thank me in the future!"
「看你下次還敢不敢當小偷！」老太太邊打邊罵道。「你可能現在會恨我，可是以後你會謝謝我！」
"Excuse me, old lady, but I think, ouch, you might have mistaken......I....I wasn't trying to steal your biscuit....I...." the little boy, who was in fact the old wizard, tried to explain.
「不好意思噢，老太太！您誤會了！我沒有要偷東西的意思，我⋯⋯」其實是老巫師的小男孩連忙解釋道。
"Huh! And you're trying to make excuses, huh?" the old lady snorted in disbelief, "I'll teach you to behave yourself! Parents might not spank children nowadays, anymore, but this was how we learnt to behave ourselves when I was a kid. Take this!" the old lady muttered under her breath as she continued to spank the poor little boy.
「哼！你還想找藉口啊？」老太太說。「真是個壞小孩！可能現在的家長都不打小孩了，可是我們以前就是這樣學習到不能做壞事的！看招！」老太太一邊喃喃自語，一邊打屁股。
Just then, the sheriff, who was strolling around the area, heard the din and came to take a look. After perceiving the scene, he quickly inquired what was going on. The little boy, grabbing hold of this opportunity, jumped from the arms of the violent old lady and explained in frustration, "This old witch accused me of stealing and spanked me!"
這時，正在附近巡邏的警長聽到了吵鬧聲後趕緊前來關心。看見了這個場景後，他趕緊問到事情的起因。小男孩見機掙脫了暴力的老太太，生氣地說：「這個老巫婆巫賴我偷東西還打我屁股！」
"What? Witch? Did you say that she was a witch?" The Sheriff, who had been daydreaming until he heard the word 'witch' said. "Whoa whoa whoa! Stop right there you crazy witch, and don't think you can get away with it this time! I'll burn you to cinders so you'll stop eating children."
「什麼？巫婆？你說她是巫婆？」本來在做白日夢的警長一聽到「巫婆」這兩個字馬上回神。「你好大的膽子呀，老巫婆！你這次不會再逃過一劫了！我一定會將妳燒成灰燼，這樣你就再也不會出來害小孩了！」
The sheriff grabbed hold of the old lady's arm and pulled her towards the centre of the village.
警長拉著老太太的手臂，並將她拖向村莊內。
"What!? No! I am not a witch! Stop. STOP! I don't want to be burnt!" the old lady screamed at the top of her voice.
「什麼？不！我不是巫婆！停！停！我不想被燒死呀！」老太太大聲尖叫道。
The old wizard in the form of the little boy, who knew about how they treated witches, became extremely anxious and started to explain. "No, listen! What I meant was that she's mean. It's a figure of speech! Don't you understand?"
變成了小男孩的老巫師非常的清楚巫婆會被如何處置，因此開始感到焦慮。「請聽我講，不是這樣的，我只是比喻～比喻呀！你聽得懂嗎？」
However, the Sheriff, who had not burnt a witch for quite some time now and was eager to perform the ceremony again, took no heed of the explanations of the little boy and continued to pull the old lady until they were next to a well. Then, suddenly, he took out two torches out of nowhere and pointed them at the innocent old lady.
好久沒有燒死巫婆了的警長很高興好不容易又找到了一個巫婆可以燒，興奮得根本不理會小男孩的話，繼續拉著老太太來到井邊。突然，他不知從哪裡變出了兩支火把，指向老太太。
"Burn to death, thou wick'd witch! Accept thy fate and cease to twitch!"
「受死吧，壞女巫！」
"Ouch! You're hurting me!" The old lady screamed and slapped the Sheriff on the face, then, just when she was about to slip away, she discovered that villagers were beginning to crowd around her, chanting in one voice, "Burn the witch! Burn the witch!"
「哎喲喂呀，你把我弄痛了啦！」很兇的老太太賞了警長一個耳光後，正要開溜，才赫然發現原來已經有一堆村民包圍著她，異口同聲地吶喊著：「燒死她！燒死她！」
"What are you talking about? I'm not a witch!" The old lady screamed as she was forced closer and closer towards the well by the burning torches of the Sheriff.
「你們在說什麼呀？我不是巫婆啦！」老太太大叫道，並一步一步的往後退，退到了井邊。
Will the innocent lady be burnt?
無辜的老太太會就這麼無緣無故地被燒死嗎？
