Playmobil Detectives: The White Kimono-13

Suddenly, Blythe noticed tiny footprints appearing on the floor. Shaun noticed them as well and they followed the footprints to the balcony. But they didn't see anything that could be producing these footprints.

Without warning, Tiffany pushed Blythe from behind when the latter was looking down from the balcony. Fortunately, Blythe grabbed the railings just in time, otherwise, she would have tumbled down several storeys.

"Tiffany, what are you doing!" shouted Jeffrey as he used all his might to pull Tiffany away. Nevertheless, the girl seemed to be in a trance and was rooted to the spot. Abruptly, Tiffany whirled around and slapped Jeffrey on the face with the back of her hand. Her strength was surprisingly large such that Jeffrey hit the wall on the side. Then, she started wailing hysterically like a baby.

"Ouch, Tiffany, stop fooling around! It's not funny, okay!" yelled Jeffrey whilst rubbing his sore face.

"No, this isn't Tiffany! She's possessed!" exclaimed Shaun, after noticing Tiffany's bizarre countenance.

As quick as lightning, Blythe turned around and agilely stuck a Taoist charm on Tiffany's forehead. They perceived the translucent form of a spirit leaving Tiffany's body and their friend fell limply on the floor.

After Tiffany fell onto the floor, Shaun and Jeffrey carried her onto her bed and Blythe slipped a Buddhist prayer bead chain onto the former's wrist.

"Hopefully, this will protect her from future troubles," mumbled Blythe to herself.

"What the heck was that?" queried Jeffrey, who was bewildered by Tiffany's peculiar actions.

"Judging from the size of that spirit, it's either an animal or a child," whispered Blythe quietly, as if afraid something might hear them.

"But, how did it get inside?" asked Jeffrey.

"There are two possibilities," answered Shaun. "Either it got in from outside, or it followed us back this morning."

"What d'you mean? This morning? You're not making any sense," exclaimed Jeffrey, frustrated.

"Let's not talk about this tonight," said Blythe with an unusually solemn countenance. "I'll stick a charm on this balcony door here, in case it returns. Let's all get a good night of sleep and reconsider everything tomorrow. I have a feeling this case isn't over yet."

No matter what Jeffrey asked, both Shaun and Blythe appeared to be resolved not to disclose any information whatsoever. Thus, they returned to their respective bedrooms.
