Flora, shocked by the abrupt proposal of the prince, suddenly exclaimed, "I am very sorry, I cannot help but to decline your generous compliments because I........" Before the poor girl could finish her sentence, she was overcome by a violent fit of tears, but in order to hide them, she covered her face with her huge hands and rushed outside.
阿花被王子無預警的告白嚇了一跳後道：「我非常的抱歉，但是我無法接受您的好意......」她還來不及說完，眼淚便從她的眼睛湧出，為了隱藏眼淚，阿花只好用大手遮著臉，衝到屋外。
On arriving outside, she perceived the well which she got the water from everyday, and she ran and stood beside it, the cool waters of which made a huge contrast with the scorching day. It was as if the waters in the well were welcoming Flora into their embrace. A sudden thought of jumping in to end her life occurred to her, "I will end my pitiful life in this lovely day, whilst remembering the voice and appearance of the generous prince."
來到了外面，阿花看見了平常她打水的井，她跑到井邊去。井裏清涼的水和炎熱的天氣形成了強烈的對比，彷彿井水在歡迎阿花投入它致命的懷抱。阿花突然有了輕生的念頭：「不如就在這麼美好的一天結束我可悲的生命吧！至少我的腦海裏還有著王子的聲音及容貌。」
Just when Flora was about to jump in, she discovered that the well was too small for her to fit in. Without warning, someone grabbed her hand from behind. The girl turned around to see the anxious face of Diana, who had been like a mother to her during her stay.
正當阿花準備投井時，她赫然發現井太小了，自己根本進不去。就在這時，有人突然拉住了她的手。阿花回頭一看，原來是戴安娜。
"What do you think you're doing?" Diana cried.
「你在幹嘛？」戴安娜大叫道。
"No, don't stop me! I cannot live in this harsh world anymore!" Flora pleaded as she tried to wrench herself free from the firm grasp of the elderly lady.
「不！別阻止我！我無法繼續在這個殘忍的世界裏活下去了！」阿花一邊哀求著，一邊試圖掙脫老太太的手。
When they were struggling between themselves, suddenly Diana let out a scream and exclaimed as she pointed to a mark on Flora's arm, "Is this a birthmark on your arm?"
正當兩人在掙扎時，突然戴安娜尖叫了一聲，並指著阿花手上的胎記說：「這是胎記嗎？」
"I...I don't know!" Flora was shocked by the sudden outcry from the usually calm Diana, "I had it for as long as I can remember"
「我....我也不知道！」阿花被一向鎮定的戴安娜突如其來的舉動嚇了一跳。「從我有記憶以來，它就在那兒了！」
"Did you say that you came from the neighbouring South Kingdom? And did you say that you are eighteen years old?" Diana inquired eagerly, and after Flora replied in the affirmative and confirmed that her eighteenth birthday was in fact that particular day, tears started flowing down Diana's cheeks while she exclaimed. "My Arabella! My daughter, I have finally found you! After so many years! I can finally see me own daughter!"
「你說你是從鄰近的南方王國來的嗎？還有，你說你十八歲了？」戴安娜趕緊問道。當阿花答道她確實是從南方王國來的，並說她的十八歲生日正好是今天時，眼淚頓時從戴安娜的臉頰上滑落，她喊道：「阿拉貝拉！我親愛的女兒！這麼多年後，我們終於再度見面了！」
Seeing the bewildered face of Flora, Diana proceeded, "In fact, I am Queen Diana from the South Kingdom. Eighteen years ago, when I gave birth to you, a fairy made a prophecy that you are cursed and on your eighteenth birthday, you will die. Only after my eager inquiry did she reluctantly say that the only way to stop this was for me to leave your side until your eighteenth birthday. Therefore, I have decided to move out of the palace, into the forest, where I built this little cottage where we have been living for the past few months. However, it seems that destiny had meant for us to meet anyways before your eighteenth birthday; furthermore, it seems that destiny is irreversible when you were about to jump in to that well. You have told me that somehow you have turned into this beast. And, fortunately, your current form had saved you, as if it wasn't for you being too big to fit in the well, you would have died already."
看見了阿花臉上疑惑的表情後，戴安娜繼續說道。「事實上，我是南方王國的皇后。十八年前，我生你時，一個仙女預言你被詛咒了，所以在你十八歲生日那天你將會死去。在我的逼問下，仙女才說唯一的破解辦法就是我得離開你的身邊，直到你十八歲生日後。於是，我便搬離了皇宮，來到了森林裏，並蓋了這間小木屋。然而，命運似乎已安排好了無論如何我們都會在你十八歲生日前見面。而且，命運似乎無法改變，因為你剛剛就試圖投井自殺。你告訴過我你是有天突然變成了野獸。若今天不是因為你是野獸，所以無法跳入井裏，你現在早已喪命於井底了！」
"Diana, you must've mistaken!" Flora, who could finally find her voice after the shock, said. "I am no Princess Arabella. In fact, I am the maid of Princess Arabella. There must be some mistake....it can't be!"
「戴安娜，你一定是誤會了！」好不容易才能開口的阿花說：「我不是阿拉貝拉公主！事實上，我是阿拉貝拉公主的丫環。其中一定有什麼誤會....這不可能！」
"True, you have always been made to believe that you are Flora the maid. However, it is not true!" Queen Diana explained, "It was your Father, the king, who had came up with this idea. He believed that if you had lived your whole life as someone else, the curse will not land on you; so, before I left the palace, he switched you with the kitchen maid's daughter, who had been born on the same day as you!" And this was why Lucinda's spell had appeared to have gone wrong, because, in fact, Flora was the real Princess Arabella!
「確實，你從小就認為你是丫環阿花。但是，這並不是真的！」戴安娜皇后解釋道。「這是你的父王想出的點子。他相信，如果你變成了別人，詛咒就不會降臨到你身上。所以，在我離開皇宮前，他將你和跟你同一天出生的廚娘的女兒給交換身份了！」原來，這就是盧欣妲的詛咒會看似出錯了的緣故～其實阿花才是真正的阿拉貝拉公主！
"But...........mother!" Flora exclaimed with tears flowing from her eyes, "Now that I have been turned into a beast, you will never be able to see my appearance anymore!"
「但是......母后！」阿花淚流滿面地說：「現在我變成了野獸，你就再也看不到我以前的樣子了！」
Queen Diana replied by giving Flora such a tight hug that the latter could hardly breathe, and said, "It doesn't matter how you look, you will always be my dear daughter!"
戴安娜皇后給阿花一個深深的擁抱，然後說：「不管你長得怎樣，你都是我親愛的女兒！」
When Prince Benjamin rushed out of the house after some time, he saw Diana hugging a teenaged girl in a dress.
當班傑明王子從屋子裏走出來時，他看見戴安娜正抱著一個妙齡少女。
"Diana, who is that?" he inquired.
「戴安娜，她是誰呀？」他問道。
Only then did Flora and Diana notice that the previous form of the former had returned to her, because her mother's tears of maternal love had broken Lucinda's wicked spell. Flora touched her smooth face just to make sure, whilst she cried in ecstasy, after which, she gave her mother another hug.
直到這時，阿花和戴安娜才赫然發現，阿花已經變回原樣了。原來是戴安娜偉大母愛的眼淚將盧欣妲的詛咒給破除了。阿花摸了摸自己細緻的臉，尖叫了一聲，並給媽媽一個大大的擁抱。
After the situation had been explained to the bewildered prince, the latter made another formal proposal to Flora, of which Flora, having had her good looks returned to her, gladly agreed. Queen Diana looked on at the happy couple, holding hands, behind which, the sun was slowly setting.
王子瞭解了整件事情的來龍去脈後，再次正式的和阿花表白。變回原樣的阿花也高興的接受了。戴安娜皇后看著兩個戀人在夕陽下牽著手，真是好不幸福呀！
The following morning, Prince Benjamin, Princess Flora, who has decided to continue using her former name, and Queen Diana returned to the South Kingdom; where the two held their grand wedding in the luxurious palace, which was buzzing with activity and jubilant atmosphere. Everyone in the kingdom was extremely happy and gratefully wished the couple happiness; all except one, who had previously been a princess, and had been informed on her eighteenth birthday that she was, in fact, the daughter of the kitchen maid, and that was our ugly friend- the previous Princess Arabella.
隔天早上，班傑明王子、阿花公主（阿花還是決定延用以前的名字）和戴安娜皇后回到了南方王國，兩人在豪華宮廷裏舉辦了盛大的婚禮。整個王國的人都為她們感到開心，也誠心誠意的祝福兩人白頭偕老。只有一個人不開心～那就是以前一直以為自己是公主，在十八歲生日那天才被通知自己其實是廚娘的女兒的醜公主～阿拉貝拉！
