Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a nefarious but beautiful sorceress named Lucinda, who, like many others, was extremely jealous of people who were fairer than herself, and was most talented at casting a spell, in fact, it was the only spell she knew, which made people ugly.
從前從前，在一個遙遠的國度，有著一個邪惡的美麗魔女，名叫盧欣妲。就像很多人一樣，她對於比自己漂亮的人都懷著嫉妒的心，所以她的專長（其實也是她唯一會的）就是施咒語把人變醜。
One scorching morning, Lucinda sat on top of the roof with her binoculars, watching the crowds of people in the market below her.
一個豔陽高照的早晨，盧欣妲坐在屋頂上，拿著望遠鏡，觀察著底下市集的人群。
"Indeed, people nowadays are getting uglier and uglier," Lucinda talked to herself, "It is of no fun at all! No one to cast my spell on. Ooooh, wait a minute, I think I saw someone."
「真是的，現在的人真的是愈來愈醜了！」盧欣妲自言自語道。「一點兒都不好玩兒！沒有人可以讓我下咒語。噢，等等，我好像看到了什麼了！」
In fact, what came into her view was an ugly princess and her pretty maid in the market at the vegetable store.
原來，映入眼簾的是一位醜公主和她漂亮的丫鬟在市集裏的蔬果攤挑選蔬菜。
"I think I see a pretty person that I can cast my spell on," Lucinda exclaimed in sheer excitement.
「我似乎看到了一個我可以詛咒的人嘍！」盧欣妲興奮地說。
Suddenly, the princess and the maid turned around, and began chatting to the vendor, having their backs to the observing sorceress.
突然，公主和丫鬟無預警地轉身，便開始和蔬果攤老闆聊起了天，背向著偷窺的女巫。
"Wait, wait, wait! Turn around!" the forgetful sorceress, who had forgotten who was the prettier one of the two, exclaimed in frustration.
「等等！轉過來呀！」健忘的魔女竟然忘記了兩個之中到底誰是漂亮的那個了。
After a while, the impatient Lucinda figured out that the two had no slight inclination of turning around, dashed angrily down from the roof, back to her room.
過了一會兒，不耐煩地盧欣妲發現那兩個人似乎都沒有轉過來的意願，氣憤地衝下樓，回到她的房間。
On arriving at her room, the determined sorceress grabbed her smartphone and strode briskly to the balcony, where there was better signal, and began chanting. "O my erudite Smartphone on a stick, tell me: who has the fairest profile pic!"
回到房間後，意志堅定的女巫拿起了智慧型手機，衝到收訊較佳的陽台，並大聲地問道：「噢，智慧型手機呀，告訴我誰擁有最美麗的大頭貼！」
The smartphone, in response to the frequently asked question from the sorceress, displayed the Facebook page of Princess Arabella, whom had just been the object of the spying sorceress. After close examination of the pretty profile picture on the princess' Facebook page, which was in fact a fraud as her loathsome visage was photoshopped out and replaced by one with a beautiful complexion, the irritated Lucinda screamed in jealousy, "How dare she to be prettier than me! I curse Princess Arabella that she'll turn into a hideous beast this instant!"
智慧型手機的螢幕上立刻就顯現了一個網頁，上面是阿拉貝拉公主，也就是剛剛女巫在偷窺的醜陋公主的臉書帳號。經過了一番仔細的研究阿拉貝拉公主其實根本就是修圖「修很大」的的美麗大頭貼後，盧欣妲怒喊道：「竟然有人敢比我漂亮！我詛咒阿拉貝拉公主，下一秒馬上變成醜陋的野獸！」
