After Shaun and Blythe arrived at the haunted hotel, Blythe left her luggage in her hotel room.
"We have to find Jeff first," said Blythe. "I have a hunch that Jeff has somehow discovered Mr Park's secret, so Mr Park had kidnapped him. But I don't think Mr Park will do any harm to Jeff."
"Look, that was the ghost Jeff followed before he disappeared," exclaimed Shaun as he spotted the spirit again. "Let's follow it. Perhaps he'll lead us to Jeff."
Following the same ghost that had led Jeffrey to Mr Park's secret study, Shaun and Blythe arrived at the old abandoned well in the deserted region of the hotel's back garden.
"This looks very deep," exclaimed Shaun as he peered into the well. "How did Jeff get down there?"
"Don't worry, I've got a rope," answered Blythe as she tied one end to a tree. Then, they took it in turns climbing down the well using the rope.
After reaching the bottom of the well, Shaun and Blythe came across the door to the secret study room. After pushing open the wooden door, they discovered Jeffrey tied up and gagged at the corner of the room.
"Jeff! Are you okay?" exclaimed Shaun as he rushed to untie Jeff.
"Blythe, why are you here?" exclaimed Jeffrey in astonishment after perceiving the familiar figure of Shaun's Taiwanese cousin.
"Well, it's a long story," responded Blythe. "Shaun called me to consult my opinion about this case, but I thought it'd be better if I flew here directly. To be honest, it really isn't a big deal. It's only a two-hour flight from Taipei to Busan."
After Jeffrey had been freed, he recounted what he had heard Mr Park say, including the ancient story of the evil wizard.
"We've gotta stop him from resurrecting his ancestor," concluded Jeffrey after finishing his story. "Otherwise, I'm afraid that the magic powers of the wizard would be too great for anyone to stop him."
