隔天早上，伊莎貝拉和伊莉莎白起了個大早，準備趕路。
On the following morning, Isabella and Elizabeth woke up early in order to continue their journey.
皇后邀請她們和王子一起共享早餐。
The queen invited them to breakfast with herself and the prince.
在享用早餐時，果然如同伊莎貝拉所預料的，皇后竟然問了她們：「昨晚睡得好嗎？」
During the meal, just like Isabella had anticipated, the queen asked them: "How was your sleep last night? I hope everything was comfortable?"
伊莉莎白怕妹妹講錯話，搶在伊莎貝拉前面趕緊答道：「謝謝您的關心，我們昨晚睡得很好！」
Elizabeth was afraid that her sister would say something impertinent, so she quickly replied before Isabella could: "Yes, thank you very much for your concern, we slept very well last night."
正當皇后要説話時，伊莎貝拉對皇后説：「姊姊睡得很好，可我睡的卻不好！在我們皇宮裏的床褥、棉被都是絲綢做的，冬暖夏涼；妳們這兒竟是些便宜的棉製成的，害我昨晚睡得冷到不行。還有，妳們的床墊下是不是放了甚麼？總感覺不平，睡得我腰痠背疼的，極度不舒服。」
Just when the queen was about to reply, Isabella said to the queen: "My sister seemed to have slept very well, however, I didn't. The bedclothes and blankets in our palace were all made of silk, which are warm in winter and cool in summer; unlike the bedclothes here, which are all made of cheap cotton, that made me extremely cold last night. Oh, and also, was there something under the mattress? It felt extremely uneven and very uncomfortable."
這時，皇后説話了：「妳剛剛説妳們的皇宮，難道妳們是公主？」
The queen asked: "If I have not mistaken, I heard you say your palace, does it mean you are princesses?
伊莉莎白事到如今也無法辯解了，只好默默地點頭表示同意。
Elizabeth couldn't deny the fact, so she gently nodded her head.
突然間，王子大叫：「我終於找到真正的公主了！」然後便跪下來和伊莉莎白求婚：「妳願意嫁給我嗎？這麼多年，我一直在尋找的就是像妳這樣的公主～脾氣好、善良、正面、又美麗。公主我看得還不夠多嗎？之所以我没有一個看得上眼的原因是因為她們不是太驕傲自大、自以為是，不然就是太驕縱了。我要娶的公主不是像妳妹妹一樣無理取鬧，凡事斤斤計較的公主，這樣她以後當上皇后，要如何幫我處理國家大事，使國家更興盛呢？」
Suddenly, the prince exclaimed: "I have finally found a true princess!" and knelt down to propose to Elizabeth: "Dear Elizabeth, will you marry me? All these years, I have been looking for a princess just like you, good-tempered, kind, optimistic and beautiful! All these princesses that I rejected are all those who are arrogant and spoiled. The princess I want to marry is not someone like your sister, who is very narrow-minded and always throwing a tantrum. Once she became a queen, how would she be able to help me to make decisions that concern our country and help make the country more prosperous?"
伊莉莎白貝嚇儍了，想不到王子選的竟是她，而不是像故事裏一樣，選擇有感覺到豌豆的那個公主。於是，她便答道：「這件事情發生得太突然了，請讓我回去好好想想。等我們這次旅途結束後，我回家問問我父王，便會給你一個答覆。」
Elizabeth was dumbfounded, she could not imagine that the prince had chosen her instead of her sister who has complained about the pea just like in the story of the Princess and the Pea, so she responded: "Everything has happened so abruptly, please kindly give me some time to think it over after our journey is complete and to ask for the permission of my father before I make any promises to you!"
她們感謝完皇后後便匆匆離開，繼續她們的旅程。
After thanking the queen earnestly, they quickly continued their journey.

Elizabeth did keep her promise, after two months she agreed to the proposal of the prince, they married in a grand wedding and lived happily ever after.
其實，妹妹伊莎貝拉没有告訴姊姊的是她在第一眼見到王子時就愛上了他，因為看姊姊的眼神似乎對王子没甚麼感覺，所以才決定説有感覺到豌豆所以睡得不舒服，和故事的劇本一樣，王子才會選擇她。可是，她萬萬没想到，她的斤斤計較，尖酸刻薄與心機竟是王子討厭的類型；反而因小失大，錯過了嫁給王子的機會。姊姊凡事以正面、樂觀的態度去面對反而得到了王子的心，有了好的結果。
Actually, what Isabella hadn't told her sister was that she was secretly in love with the prince the first time they met at the breakfast table, after observing her sister closely, she found no resemblances of her sister being in love with the prince too. Therefore, she decided to say exactly like what the story says and hints about herself being a real princess in anticipation that the prince would propose to her. However, what she had never anticipated was that her arrogant attitude was not the prince's type so he chose her sister instead of her.
