After the Japanese hostages were taken into the dungeon, the three samurai leaders were executed one by one, one a day. Three days after, the only one remaining was the leader of the Kamakura Shogunate- Hojo.
被抓起來當人質的日本軍官們被關進地牢後，三個軍官變一一被處了死刑，一天一個。三天後，只有武將～北条還活著。
The night before his execution, he sat in the middle of the dungeon cell, pondering about life and missing his family horribly. Suddenly, the iron door of the cell was quietly opened, and the military magistrate- Goda, who had surrendered to the Mongols, appeared at the doorway.
北條被處刑的前一天晚上，他坐在地牢的正中間，想著他的家人。突然，地牢的鐵門被輕輕推開了，像蒙古兵投降的軍事法官～合田出現在門口。
"What are you doing here, you traitor?" Hojo, who still hadn't forgiven Goda, exclaimed furiously, "I don't want to see the shameless face of someone who had betrayed our Great Motherland!"
「你來這兒幹嘛？你這個叛徒！」尚未原諒合田的北条大駡道。「我不想看到背叛祖國、不知羞恥的臉孔！」
To his utter astonishment, Goda bowed down to his leader, and whispered in a trembling voice, "My respected general, I do not dare to, hereby, ask for your forgiveness; but, please, at least let me explain my situation." Goda continued after glancing around to make sure that no one was eavesdropping, "The only reason that I had surrendered to the Mongols was because I wanted to be there as a spy. For the past few days, though they were still hesitant to put complete trust in me, I have been quietly observing their plans to discover where they were planning to attack next, then passing the information on to our troops, so they could be prepared in advance. Now, I have a plan that could get us both saved. For some unknown reason, your execution tomorrow will be delayed to the afternoon, therefore, if we could both escape during their lunch hours, we would be able to survive."
北条驚訝得看著合田跪下來，用著顫抖的聲音說：「我尊敬的軍官，在下我不敢請求您的原諒，但請您聽聽我的解釋。」合田東張西望，確認四下無人後，便繼續小聲地說：「我之所以會向蒙古兵投降的原因是因為我要去那裡臥底。這幾天，雖然蒙古兵尚未完全信任我，我悄悄觀察他們的行動，得知他們下個要進攻的地點，再通知我方軍隊。現在，我有個能把我們倆都救出的方法。因某種不明原因，您的死刑被延期到明天下午，所以只要能在他們吃午飯時偷偷溜走，我們兩都能存活。」
After promising to come and save General Hojo on the following noon, Goda noiselessly slipped out of the cell, unnoticed by any, except for an observant Mongolian soldier, who had been suspecting Goda and followed, without being noticed, to the cell. The Mongolian soldier, who was also fluent in Japanese, overheard every single word of their conversation, and quickly went back to report to Emperor Kublai Khan.
向北条軍官保證隔天中午會來救他後，合田悄悄地溜出地牢。然而，合田不知道的是，有一位蒙古兵暗中監視了他的一舉一動，懂得流利的日文的他也偷聽到了他們的對話，並趕緊回去像皇帝～忽必烈稟報。
On the following morning, General Hojo were dragged out of his cell, and both him and Goda were executed before noon.
隔天早上，北條軍官被拖出地牢，並在中午前與合田一起被處了死刑。
God eventually granted the victory to Japan, as, thanks to Goda's information, the Japanese troops were able to prepare in advance and defeated the Mongols.
神明終究將勝利賜給了日本，幸好有合田的通風報信，日本軍才能提前準備，打敗蒙古軍團。
General Hojo had eventually forgiven the 'traitor' Goda, but the other three Samurai leaders, who were killed before the truth was revealed, were completely ignorant it. Their last will before their death was to take revenge on Goda and, the legend has it that their spirits, who were unable to rest in peace, were still haunting for Goda until the present day........
雖然北条軍官最終原諒了『叛徒』合田，但其他三個武士因為在真相大白前都已經被處了死刑，於是他們始終不知情。他們臨死前最後的念頭就是要報復合田。傳說他們的冤魂至今仍在尋找著的合田.........
