The spies immediately perceived the figure of Banianiotto appearing with his sleigh. The instant the man's eyes fell on the fallen Christmas Tree, his face turned as red as his jacket. "Melanie! How dare you betray your own father!" he screamed.
嬌娃們立刻注意到香蕉頭駕著雪橇接近。當他看到倒塌的聖誕樹後，臉脹得和身穿的外套一樣紅。「美蘭妮！你竟敢背叛自己的爸爸！」他尖叫道。
"Dad, I'm so sorry. I have tried to dissuade you many times before, but to no avail as you would never listen," said Melanie as she looked at her father with tender eyes, "Your plans will only result to the destruction of mankind, and eventually to your own ruin. This is for your own good." Melanie broke into a violent fit of sobs.
「爸爸，對不起！我曾經多次想説服你，可是你都不聽我的話。」美蘭妮看著爸爸的眼睛説。「你的計劃只會摧毀人類，最後，連同你自己也毀掉。這都是爲你好啊！」美蘭妮開始啜泣了起來。
Without warning, the group perceived the sound of a helicopter, which soon landed beside them, and out hopped Tom and a policeman, who pointed a gun at Banianiotto. "You're under arrest for the offense of attempting to destroy mankind. You have the right to keep silent. Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law."
忽然間，他們聽到了直升飛機的聲音。頓時就有一台直升飛機降落在他們旁邊，從裏面跳出了湯姆以及一名拿著槍指著香蕉頭的警察。「你以試圖毀壞人類的罪行被逮捕了。你有權利保持沈默。你所說的任何話都有可能在法庭對你不利。」
Tom approached Banianiotto and looked at him deep in the eyes, "Jimmy," Tom began, the spies gasped, "Look, I'm really sorry for what I have done to you but I wasn't the one that let out your secret. Afterwards, I have discovered that Barcelo had overheard our conversation, and he was the one that told everyone. I know I should've defended you when the bullies picked on you, but it was an instinct of survival. If I had defended you, I would, too, have been their object; and I am not as rich as you, I cannot afford to change to a better, and more expensive school like you did. Therefore, all I could do was to walk away. I have many regrets in life, and one of the biggest is my disloyal action towards you, it has been haunting me for the past forty-six years of my life. Will you forgive me, Jimmy? Will you give me another chance so we can be friends again?" Tom held out a trembling hand towards the flabbergasted Banianiotto, who shook it.
湯姆走向香蕉頭，凝視著他的眼睛。「吉米，」湯姆開口說。「我對我曾經對你做過的事眞的感到十分抱歉，可是，我並不是説出你秘密的那個人。我後來才發現，我們的談話内容被小巴偷聽到了～是小巴講出你的秘密的。我知道他們在欺負你時，我應該跳出來伸張正義。可是，這都是爲了生存下去。如果我跳出來幫你，我同樣也會變成受害者。可是，我家没有像你家一樣那麼有錢，無法轉學到更棒的學校。所以，我只能默默地離去。我的人生中有許多遺憾，其中一個就是我所對你做的不義行為。這件事這四十六年來都深深地烙印在我的心裏。吉米，你願意原諒我嗎？你願意再給我一個機會，讓我們再變回好朋友嗎？」湯姆伸出顫抖的手，香蕉頭也伸手和他握手了。
"Apology accepted, Tommy," Banianiotto replied, "I have just realised that for the past years, I could never bring myself to hate you."
「我原諒你，湯姆。」香蕉頭答道。「我現在才發現，這些年來，我就是没辦法讓自己恨你。」
"Goodbye for now," Tom responded as Banianiotto was escorted to the helicopter, "Hope to see you soon, and as a better man after you're released from prison."
「再會了！」香蕉頭被遣送到直升機時湯姆說。「希望很快地會再見到妳。也希望你出獄後會改過自新。」
After Banianiotto has been escorted away, Melanie immediately dashed towards Tom and said, "Tom, how did you know to come to our aid? I have never called you."

"Of course I know, Margaret," Tom replied in a tone different to that he used with his wife previously, "In fact, to tell you the truth, I have known that you were a double spy the moment you entered the PMSSO. But I have deliberately given you some information in order to lure your father out of his lair. However, I could not warn Claire and Eliza about you, in case they will unintentionally reveal my acknowledgements to you. Therefore, I tried to praise you in front of them in every opportunity I could to try and make them dislike you, so as not to entirely trust you. That's called human psychology. Don't forget, I graduated with a PhD in Psychology."

"I am very sorry, Margaret, but I'm afraid that, yes, even the wedding is fake. I am a Christian, so no marriage shall be official in my mind without God's approval." Tom replied coolly, "As for your other question, my answer is no. I have never loved you.
