As Gabriella entered the kitchen, Sandy, the kitchen maid, having perceived her entrance, said sarcastically, "I see that it has taken you quite a while to get dressed, Princess Gabriella. As you can see, we are well under way in preparation for luncheon. It is just as well that you arrived at this moment in time, I have some dishes for you to wash!"
當嘉碧拉走進廚房時，廚娘珊迪用很酸的語氣說：「公主殿下，看來，你今天花了不少時間打扮啊？如你所見，我們早已開始準備午餐了。不過你來得還真是時候，我剛好有一些碗盤要你清洗。」
After Sandy has indicated to poor Gabriella the location where the dirty, greasy dishes were placed, the latter lifted the cumbersome container up and walked slowly towards the sink.
珊迪告知可憐的嘉碧拉放置髒碗盤的位置後，嘉碧拉便提著沈重的桶子，一步一步的往水槽的方向走去。
"Make haste, make haste! We do not have all day ye know?! And mind those dishes, they're the favourites of the Queen!" Sandy scolded Gabriella for her clumsiness for seemingly the hundredth time.
「快點兒，快點兒！你以為我們還剩很多時間嗎？還有要小心別打破那些碗盤呀，它們可是皇后的寶貝啊！」珊迪亦如往常狠狠地斥責了嘉碧拉一番。
After Gabriella has finished with the disgusting dishes, without receiving any sort of break, she was immediately ordered to clean the oven, a job hated by everyone in the kitchen, thus it was always 'Gabriella's turn' to do it.
嘉碧拉才剛洗完油膩膩的碗盤，都還來不及休息，就馬上被叫去做整個廚房的僕人都最討厭做的事：就是清理烤箱。
It wasn't of no cause that the job of cleaning the oven was despised by everyone, as it always resulted in the cleaner, not only getting gruesome grease all over her hands and clothes, but also, the dying ashes smothers the face of the cleaner so it's as black as coal.
不過也難怪大家會這麼討厭這件差事，因為清理的人不僅會弄得整雙手及整套衣服都油膩膩的，還會被未燒燼的煤炭燻得整個臉烏漆抹黑。
This was the life of Gabriella, the beloved 'pearl' of her mother, for the past three hundred and sixty-four days after her marriage to the prince; but of which, due to Gabriella's fear of making her mother anxious, the poor girl never related to her mother in their video-call conversations.
這就是嘉碧拉～其母的掌上明珠在嫁給王子後的364天的生活。但是，由於善良的她怕媽媽擔心，所以從未向媽媽在視訊通話裏提起這些事情。
