That afternoon, after the incident of the arrow flying into the evil sorcerer Mamahuhu's house, Prince Pinocchio was taking a bath in the palace bathroom, whilst pondering about the events of the day.
那天下午，經過了箭飛進邪惡巫師馬馬呼呼的屋子裡的事件後，皮諾丘王子一邊在皇家浴室泡澡，一邊想著那天所發生的事。
"Hmmmm, that old fox Mamahuhu seemed unusually calm with that evil grin on his face," Prince Pinocchio thought to himself. "Perhaps he had not forgiven us at all, and was planning on some sort of nasty revenge. I had better report the incident to my father, so he could take precautions in advance."
「哼～那個老狐狸馬馬呼呼露出了邪惡的笑容，看來事情並不單純！」皮諾丘王子心想，「說不定他只是假裝原諒我們，正在想著邪惡的復仇計劃。我得趕緊和父王稟報此事，好讓他做好防備措施、提高警覺。」
Suddenly, he felt extremely dizzy, the entire bathroom was swimming around him and there was a deafening buzz in his ears. "It must be that the water is too hot!" Pinocchio thought to himself as he was about to call his servant before he lost all consciousness.
突然，王子感到一陣暈眩，整個浴室轉呀轉的，耳朵開始聽見嗡嗡的聲音。「一定是水溫太高了！」皮諾丘心想，並準備呼叫僕人時他就失去意識了。
After a while, Pinocchio woke up to find himself in a dimly-lit room, he could just about make out the shape of a furnace nearby. Abruptly, he noticed sorcerer Mamahuhu standing over him.
過了一會兒後，皮諾丘醒來發現自己在一間陰暗的房間裡，他隱約可看出旁邊有個壁爐。這時，他赫然發現馬馬呼呼巫師正站在他面前。
"Sorcerer Mamahuhu! What are you doing here? Where have you taken me?" Pinocchio exclaimed as he tried to move, but discovered that he couldn't move at all.
「馬馬呼呼巫師？你在這兒做什麼？你把我帶到哪裡去了？」皮諾丘驚叫道並試圖移動，可是，竟然發現自己動彈不得。
"Hahahaha! You must be pondering why you can't move!" Mamahuhu laughed sinisterly, "Well, that's because I have turned you into a pile of wood, in punishment of lying to me and waking me up from my nap! Now, we are inside the house of a carpenter, who will soon return. Do you see the dying fire in the furnace yonder? Well, that's where you'll end up after their return. Hahahahaha!"
「哈哈哈哈！你一定很好奇為何自己動彈不得吧？」馬馬呼呼間笑道。「那是因為我為了懲罰你竟敢對我說謊吵我睡午覺，將你變成了一堆木柴啦！我們現在正在一個木匠的屋子裡，他很快就要回來了。你有看見那裡的火爐嗎？很快地等木匠回來後你就會到火爐裡當柴火去了！哈哈哈哈！」
"Why are you doing this to me? I have never wronged you!" Prince Pinocchio shouted, "You said I've lied to you, how so?"
「你為何要這麼做？難道我有惹到你嗎？」皮諾丘王子大叫道。「你說我對你撒謊，此話怎講？」
"Up to this point you're still trying to deny it! Looks like you deserve all this, then!" Mamahuhu snorted in disdain, "Don't think that I don't know that it's actually you who shot the arrow and blamed it on your poor servant, who's actually my son! You treacherous, irresponsible wretch! Go and be burnt in the fire! Hahahaha!"
「到現在你還不肯承認啊！看來，這些都是你應得的！」馬馬呼呼用不屑的語氣說。「別以為我不知道那支箭其實是你射的，因為害怕承認，所以就怪到你的僕人，也就是我兒子身上！你這個騙子！被火燒死還算對你太好了呢！哈哈哈哈！」
"Adalah is your son?" Pinocchio exclaimed in astonishment.
「阿達拉是你兒子？」皮諾丘驚叫道。
"Yes, he is my illegitimate son!" Mamahuhu replied, "Now that you know my secret, you deserve even more to die! Meanwhile, I will take your place as prince, and once that old, and good-for-nothing father of yours die, I will rule the entire kingdom! Hahahaha......shhhh.....I hear the carpenter returning, be prepared to accept your fate!" Mamahuhu then disappeared into thin air.
「對，他是我的私生子！」馬馬呼呼答道。「現在你知道了我的秘密，你更該受死！等會兒，我會變成你的模樣成為王子，等到你那個又老又沒用的父王死後，天下就是我的了！哈哈哈哈！噓～～我聽到木匠回來了，準備受死吧！」馬馬呼呼說畢便瞬間消失不見了。
Indeed, Pinocchio soon perceived footsteps, and he could almost hear his own heart thumping like a stampede of buffaloes, except that wood do not have a heart.
確實，皮諾丘這時聽見了腳步聲，他似乎能聽到自己的心臟噗通噗通跳的聲音，只是木頭沒有心臟！
Without warning, a pretty girl appeared by the doorway, and exclaimed in the most majestic voice one could ever imagine, "Papa, look yonder! It's a pile of wood! We have finally some wood to cook dinner! After you've used up all our wood supplied to produce your last project, we have went through three days without dinner. I will go and prepare immediately."
突然，一個美麗的女孩出現在門口，並用著如同黃鶯出谷般的聲音說：「爸爸你瞧兒！是一堆木柴呀！我們終於有柴火可以燒飯了！自從上次您為了雕刻東西用光了我們所有的柴火後，我們已經三天沒吃晚餐了！我現在馬上去準備東西。」
"Pray, do not burn me, young lady! I am not a piece of wood, but Prince Pinocchio of this country!" Pinocchio exclaimed.
「好心的姑娘，請別把我給燒了！我並不是一塊木頭，我是皮諾丘王子呀！」皮諾丘喊道。
Instantaneously, the pretty girl, whom Pinocchio later learnt to be called Samira, screamed and ran to her father.
頓時，莎蜜拉（也就是漂亮女孩的名字）尖叫了一聲，並將她的父親拉了過去。
"Papa! The pile of wood spoke and claims he is the prince!" Samira exclaimed as she usher her father closer to Pinocchio.
「爸爸！這堆木柴竟會說話，還稱自己為王子！」莎蜜拉說。
"My dear carpenter, pray, do not burn me! I am no ordinary pile of wood, but your prince Pinocchio."
「親愛的木匠，請別把我當柴火燒了！我不是普通的木頭，我是王子皮諾丘啊！」
"Oh my lord! This is a piece of magical wood that God had given to us!" the Carpenter Alilang uttered in joy, "God had given me a chance to carve a talking wooden puppet! Yes! That's what I'll carve this time!"
「我的天啊！這是上天賜給我的神奇木頭！」阿里郎木匠興奮地喊道。「上天給了我創造一個會說話的木偶的機會。對了～我知道這次要雕什麼了～一個小木偶！」
What will the crazy carpenter carve Pinocchio into?
瘋狂的木匠究竟會將皮諾丘雕成什麼樣子呢？
