That evening, Ms. Verinder was sitting on the comfortable coach in her living room and reading a book when she suddenly heard a small sound in the little room where she brainwashed her students.
As agile as a cat, the maths teacher quickly jumped up from her coach and cautiously entered the small study room. To her amazement, she perceived Claire inside the room.
"C...Claire?" exclaimed Ms. Verinder in amazement. "Wh...what are you doing here in this time of the day? And...how did you enter my apartment."
"I'm here to arrest you," said Claire as she pressed a button on the keyboard of Ms. Verinder's computer on her study desk.
"NO!" Miss Verinder screamed as she dashed forward to stop Claire. Nevertheless, everything was too late. Claire has already erased all the data that the maths teacher had collected by brainwashing her students, in pretense of giving them private lessons. In fact, Ms. Verinder's ultimate objective was to use her students as test objects to develop a system that can both retrieve and overwrite people's memory, which she intended to use to brainwash everyone and control the world using AI.
"No! My research! You've erased every single bit of data I've collected for my research, you wicked girl!" yelled Ms. Verinder as she dashed towards Claire.
Nonetheless, Claire was too fast for her. As quick as lightning, Claire pressed a red button on the wall. A hole opened up on the floor underneath the maths teacher, who fell into the transparent cage in which she had trapped Tom previously.
When the evil maths teacher came to her senses, she discovered that Claire and Tom were standing outside the transparent cage, looking at her.
"What? How did you get out?" questioned Ms. Verinder, looking at Tom.
"Claire came to help me out of this cage before going to your study to delete your data," responded Tom, smiling a victorious smile.
"But...but I don't get it!" exclaimed Ms. Verinder. "I thought I've managed to convince you that you could start your life all over again by redoing your GCSEs."
"Claire isn't stupid enough to fall into your trap, unlike her friend Eliza, who has been bewitched by your tempting words," answered Tom. "She pretended to have believed in your words and acted as a double spy in order to familiarise herself with your apartment. During her private lessons with you, Claire was able to discover the password to your computer, which was how she discovered your evil plans to conquer the world using Artificial Intelligence, which can now be used as evidence against you. On the surface, you seemed to be helping your students with their class work, however, in reality, you were in fact developing technology to edit the students' memory. You made them believe that you're such a good teacher by forcing knowledge into their brains."
"I don't understand, how were you not tempted by the thought of being able to relive your life?" enquired Ms. Verinder, looking at Claire.
"I admit that your words are very tempting, but they just don't seem right to me," answered Claire. "You are using your students without their knowledge to develop your own research, which ultimately leads to you taking over the world. All I can say is: you're unworthy of being a teacher."
After Claire has finished, the police arrived to arrest Ms. Verinder.
"My dear Lizzie will come and save me, just you wait and see!" said the maths teacher.
"Nuh-uh, she won't," said Claire, shaking her head. "After I told her your immoral deeds and ambitions, she has decided to abandon you."
