Playmobil Detectives: The Demon's Jade-10

As Jeffrey's eyes gradually grew accustomed to the dark room, he discovered that the flickering light he had perceived appeared to be seeping out from the cracks of a wooden door with a metal lock. He quickly got up on his feet and walked towards the door. Like some wild animal being slaughtered, the hinges screeched deafeningly as Jeffrey used all his might to pull open the cumbersome door.

After opening the door, what came into view was a dimly-lit study room, the sole source of illumination of which consisted of only two torches placed on the wooden floor and a candle-holder with three candles placed in one corner of the square room. In the dim light, Jeffrey could just about make out that the room was astonishingly dustless and in the furthermost corner was a bookshelf filled with ancient books and manuscripts.

Taking out a random book from the shelf, Jeffrey flipped it open and discovered that it was handwritten in Korean Hanja, which was essentially Chinese characters. Despite not being able to read a single word on the page, after close examination of several pages, Jeffrey was able to deduce that it was some sort of manuscript on black magic, detailing all types of sinister rituals involving cruel sacrifices of humans and animals.

"Oh my god, this is insane," exclaimed Jeffrey in disbelieve after perusing the ancient manuscript.

"I think I know what those ghosts we saw in the hotel were. They were the spirits of the people who had been killed in order to perform the sinister rituals written on the manuscript," thought Jeffrey. "But, to whom do these books belong? Judging by how old these manuscripts are, it must date back to several hundreds of years ago, so their owner must have been long dead by now. But why is there light in this room? And who stuck that Taoist charm on the coconut tree to stop the ghosts from roaming freely inside the hotel? There remains so many unsolved questions in this mystery."

Suddenly, Jeffrey was knocked unconscious from behind. Oh no! He is in danger!
