One Saturday morning, Claire and Eliza, two university students, were in the communal area of their shared flat. It was Claire's turn to do the cleaning this week, so she was vacuuming the floor whilst Eliza was sitting on the sofa, playing a famous online game "Sweet Squash" on her phone.
"Seriously, Eliza! You're spending more and more time on that stupid game. It seems like you're addicted to it," said Claire.
"OMG, I swear this game is so addictive and therapeutic at the same time!" exclaimed Eliza, without taking her eyes off her phone. "You should really try it!"
Just when Claire was about to reply, Eliza's phone rang. In fact, it was an incoming video-call from her mother.
"Hi, mum!" said Eliza after picking up.
"Hello, I'm just calling to make sure if your brother's at your place," answered Eliza's mother.
"George? No, he's not here! Why're you asking?" enquired Eliza.
"He's missing!" exclaimed Eliza's mother anxiously. "He hasn't left his room after coming back from school yesterday, and I discovered he's missing this morning. His bed hasn't been slept in!"
"Calm down, mum! You sure you haven't checked the entire house? Remember last time you lost your phone and we found it in the fridge?" joked Eliza. "Plus, you know George is a homebody, he couldn't have gone anywhere. Unless he's been kidnapped by his video games, lol."
"I tried calling George but his phone was on his desk!" responded Eliza's mother.
"Now, that's serious! We all know George can't live without his phone, so he won't go anywhere without it!" answered Eliza.
"I'll call the police," said Eliza's mum before she hung up.
At that moment, Claire received a video-call from her boss - Tom. In fact, Claire and Eliza weren't just any ordinary university students. They worked as spy agents for the PMSSO (Playmobil Secret Spies Organisation).
"Good morning, Claire! Is everything alright? You look agitated!" remarked Tom after Claire picked up.
"Bad timing, Tom," answered Claire. "Eliza's mum just called to tell her that her brother's missing. We don't have time for a mission now as we need to go help find her brother."
"Hmm, I have a hunch that George's disappearance is somehow related to your mission," replied Tom pensively. "In fact, your mission this time is to investigate on the recent mysterious disappearances of certain individuals from all across the globe. At first, they appear to have nothing in common. Nevertheless, after careful analysis conducted by the headquarters, we have discovered that the only probable correlation between the individuals are that they are all players of an online game called "Virtual Life" created by the video game company named Oh My Game! or OMG! for short. This game is still under development and have yet to be released to the public. Only a small number of individuals who are top players of this company's other games are invited to try out this beta version."
"OMG! I've heard George mention this game!" exclaimed Eliza.
"Exactly!" responded Tom. "As I said, I suspect that OMG! has something to do with their disappearances. So, your mission this time is to secretly enter and perform an undercover investigation of this company's headquarters located in LA, California. In case of any news or emergencies, please contact the headquarters promptly."
