After DT, Claire and Eliza sat in the canteen having lunch whilst chatting, just like when they were high school students.
"I never realized how much I miss high school, I mean....I never thought uni life would be so difficult," said Eliza.
"I know right!" agreed Claire. "Back in high school, we always thought that after A-levels, we won't need to face such tough exams and huge workload ever again. We never even imagined that what we got in high school was just a fraction of what we were gonna face in uni."
"All this, plus living away from home in another city, balancing between school work, social life and part-time job and managing your own finances - all this was what we weren't at all prepared for," added Eliza.
"I think I kinda understand now why all those people we met in the previous levels want to stay in the virtual world of this game," said Claire pensively. "Cuz they're sick and tired of their current lives and want to start a new life elsewhere, away from reality, which can be so cruel sometimes."
Before Eliza could reply, a tall, handsome guy walked towards them and said, "Hey, whatcha guys talkin' about?"
"Oh, hey Eddie!" replied Eliza, who had a secret crush on him at high school. "Oh, nothing, we're just talking about......the future......when we go to uni."
"Sounds very philosophical and all grown up," answered Eddie. "I tend not to think about those things. If I've the choice, I'd stay in high school forever. I mean, I'm living the life now, I don't wanna go to uni, get a job, get married, have kids......I just wanna stay here and be like this forever."
"Um, sorry, Eddie! We have to pop to the loo," said Claire as she quickly grabbed hold of Eliza and rushed to the toilet.
"OMG! That was so close!" whispered Claire in front of the washbasin.
"Well, I agree with what he said...." retorted Eliza.
"No! That wasn't Eddie! Eddie would never say such things!" interrupted Claire before Eliza could finish her sentence. "Remember? He was the one that started to plan out which societies he wanted to join even before he got an offer from that uni! This is all fake! Olivia especially designed this level so we will be trapped in this world of our own free will!"
"But there's nothing wrong with that! Unlike the other levels, this is kinda real! It's a part of our memories," answered Eliza. "Plus, what are we to do? We never received any instructions about the quest for this level! We don't even know how to pass it!"
"The only way is to quit this level," said Claire.
"No! Olivia said we'll never return to reality if we quit!" replied Eliza.
"I have a feeling that she's lying," answered Claire. "I mean....it doesn't make sense. Which game doesn't let players quit? Worst comes to the worst, we restart this level or this game. But that wouldn't matter, as we know where to find all those things already."
"Well, I guess you're right," said Eliza. "But how do we quit?"
At this instant, the spies perceived the mirror in front of them turn into a screen with the words, "Quit Game?" and the options "Yes" and "No" underneath. Before Eliza could stop her, Claire pressed the "Yes" button and the spies immediately felt a sensation of dizziness. What will happen next?
