Alleredinc whistled merrily as he arrived back in the tower but was extremely astonished to perceive his godfather packing things.
阿勒瑞丁斯一邊開心得吹著口哨，一邊走回家。但是，當他到家時，他赫然發現精靈教父竟在收拾行李！
“I have something to tell you!” his elf godfather said as he entered. "You are actually a prince of the neighbouring country and we are to return to your own country tonight, because tomorrow is your sixteenth birthday.”
「我有件事要告訴你！」精靈教父看見阿勒瑞丁斯回來了便說：「你其實是鄰國的王子。因為明天就是你十六歲的生日，所以我們今晚就要出發回去你的國家了！」
“You....you must be joking!” exclaimed Alleredinc, who had been oblivious of everything about his past until then.
「你.....你在開玩笑吧！」驚訝的阿勒瑞丁斯之前完全不知道自己的身世。
“No, I am not joking, in fact I am totally serious,” answered his godfather.
「不，我並沒有在開玩笑，我是認真的。」教父回答說。
“But....but I can’t,” replied Alleredinc, “Because I just met a girl in the forest and we agreed to meet at midnight in the forest today!”
「可....可是，不行呀！」阿勒瑞丁斯趕緊說道：「因為我已經答應了一個女孩今晚午夜要在森林和她見面！」
“Well, obviously you will have to break your promise,” said his godfather shrugging. “You will have lots of girls that would like to meet you when you return to be a prince."
「看來，你只好毀約了！」精靈教父無奈的說。「當你回去做你的王子後，將會有很多女孩子想見你的！」
Alleredinc knew that it is no use arguing with his godfather; so, that night, he reluctantly left the place where he was most familiar to return to his home country, where he has never set foot before.
阿勒瑞丁斯知道自己無法順利說服教父，於是，那天晚上他就依依不捨的道別了他最熟悉的地方，回到了他完全沒有印象的國家。
Before his sixteenth birthday party, Alleredinc decided to tour around the castle- his future home. Whilst walking, suddenly a strange wooden door on the top of a flight of stairs caught his eye.
在阿勒瑞丁斯生日派對開始前，他決定在城堡（他的新家）裏到處走走，好熟悉環境。突然，他注意到在一些樓梯上方有個木門。
Alleredinc, who was defeated by curiosity, climbed up the stairs and opened the strange wooden door.
被好奇心戰勝的阿勒瑞丁斯爬上了樓梯，然後打開了木門。
To his astonishment, there was an old man with wrinkles all over his face, sitting on a wooden stool, who was holding a glimmering thing (scissors) in his bony hand.
他很驚訝的看到一個臉上滿是皺紋的老人坐在一個木凳上，手裏還拿著一個亮亮的東西（剪刀）。
Alleredinc, who has never seen scissors before, inquisitively inquired whether he could try and the ancient man simply nodded and grinned in a queer way.
阿勒瑞丁斯從來沒見過剪刀，因此他好奇的問那個老人他可不可以試試看。老人只是默默地點點頭並露出詭異的笑容。
But there was no paper anywhere to be found in the room.
但是，整個房間都沒有紙。
Oddly, the old man seemed to be able to read his mind and suggested: “You can try it on your hair!”
老人似乎能看穿阿勒瑞丁斯的心思，便說：「你可以用你的頭髮試試呀！」
Alleredinc obeyed and with a scream he fell on the cold stone floor.
阿勒瑞丁斯剪下去後便大叫一聲，昏倒在冰冷的石頭地板上。
The man is the wicked wizard!
原來那個老人就是邪惡的巫師！
