The Scarecrow, after hearing Glenda's words, hopped over to her and said, "But....but, you are our last and only hope, Miss Glenda. If you aren't the person that can help us, then who is?"
Glenda smiled and replied, "Indeed, I am not the person that can help you. However, do not lose hope, as your wishes have all came true."
"But, who granted us our wishes?" the Scarecrow inquired.
"This is because YOU are the ones that have made your own wishes come true." Glenda continued, "Through this journey in order to find the Great Wizard of Oz, all of you have learnt a lot from your experiences during the journey itself, and, most importantly, from each other."
"Scarecrow," said Glenda to the astonished Scarecrow, "through this voyage, you have developed intelligence, you have learnt to think of ways to resolve problems when you have encountered one."
"And you, Tin-man," continued Glenda whilst she walked towards the Tin-man, "from this voyage, you have learnt to care for others, especially your friends. Now, you have a caring heart for others, unlike the Tin-man before the voyage. You have also learnt to stand-up for your friends when they need your help."
"Last, but definitely not the least; as for you, Lion," Glenda strolled over to the Lion and continued, "You will not be known as 'the Cowardly Lion' ever again. Through this voyage, you have developed confidence in yourself, which is a great step towards courage, without true confidence, courage would only be a useless, empty shell. Intelligence, Care, and Courage are not things that could be just simply granted to you by others, regardless of their power; instead, it is something that needs to be developed within yourselves after a great struggle, after you have someone that you feel that needs your protection."
"Wait a minute, but how about me?" Dorothy inquired, "Everyone has already had their wishes granted, but obviously I haven't. How can I get home?"
"In fact, you could've gone home on the day you arrived in Oz," Glenda answered, "With your magical cloak you got from the Evil Enchantress of the East, you could tell it to take you home."
"But, I've tried, and it didn't work!" exclaimed the astonished Dorothy.
"That is because you've chanted the wrong spell!" Glenda laughed softly, "Through this voyage, you have also learnt a lot. First of all, you've learnt to concentrate when you're walking, if you weren't playing with your phone, you wouldn't even have landed in Oz in the first place. Also, by comparing your voyage to that described in the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, you've learnt not to believe everything others say, not because they try to deceive you purposefully, but because everyone has a different experience. Although following the steps of a successful person may help you in your road to success, it is impossible to copy their lives completely, so you've learnt to find your own way around obstacles and you've developed persistence in reaching your target- which is to go home."
"And as for you, Mr Lilliput," Glenda said to the Wizard, "You've been in Oz for longer than Dorothy. In your previous life, you have disliked yourself for who you were, but here, you seem superior to everyone else as they regard you as 'The Wizard'. But here, you've learnt that there must be a purpose for everyone's existence, which has helped you to develop your confidence. And now, both of you can go home to where you belong. Just chant: 'East is good, and so is the West; but take me home, because that's the best!', and Mr Lilliput, hold on to Dorothy's cloak to return to your own time."
After Glenda has finished, Dorothy said farewell to her friends, then chanted the spell and the Wizard held on to Dorothy's cloak.
Dorothy felt extremely dizzy and when she opened her eyes, she was back in Kansas, where she was before falling into the hole.
"Was all of that real?" Dorothy thought to herself, "Or was it all just a dream? Where's Toto?"
Just then, she turned around to see Toto pulling at her black cloak she got from the Evil Enchantress of the East.
