Playmobil Spies: 15 Again-8

After Marianne and Ms. Verinder had gone into the room for some time, the spies, unable to hide their curiosity, decided to peek in from the gap in the door. Thus, as quiet as a mouse, Claire and Eliza tiptoed towards the small room. Nevertheless, they discovered that the door was firmly closed. Luckily, there was a transparent window pane on the door, yet they dared not peek in from there lest they should be discovered by Ms. Verinder.

"I have an idea!" whispered Eliza as she took out a mirror from her school bag. Using the refection of the mirror, the spies could just about make out the figure of Ms. Verinder standing in front of a computer, tapping away rigorously.

"What's she doing tapping away on her computer?" queried Eliza.

"Wait, I thought this is a Maths lesson, not an ICT class!" whispered Claire, bewildered.

Suddenly, from their mirror, they perceived Ms. Verinder standing up. The spies quickly returned to their seats on the sofa and have just started pretending to be reading a book when the maths teacher and Marianne walked out of the room.

"That's it for today, Marianne," said Ms. Verinder. "I hope you've understood everything we've covered today."

"Yes, miss," answered Marianne. "Thank you for your time."

"Lizzie, your turn next," said Ms. Verinder as Marianne turned around to walk out of the apartment.

"Is that it? That was very fast, I've barely finished a chapter in this book," said Eliza innocently.

"Yes, my lessons don't usually take too much time, as an individual can only concentrate for a certain amount of time," responded Ms. V. "Furthermore, Marianne has to go to her next class after this, don't you?"

"Yes, my mum's a chemistry professor so she helps me with chemistry after school," said Marianne to Claire and Eliza.

After Marianne left, it was Eliza's turn, who followed Ms. Verinder into the little room.

After some time of sitting in the living room all alone, Claire, who was anxious for her friend and curious to know what was going on in there, decided to summon up her courage and peek through the glass pane. She sneaked past the door and peered in from the other side.

To her horror, Claire perceived Eliza sitting in the room on a chair beside Ms. Verinder. Covering her head was a weirdly shaped helmet which was attached with a wire to a complicated-looking machine that appeared to be connected to the computer that Ms. Verinder was using. Claire had to put her hand over her mouth to prevent herself from gasping out loud.

What exactly is Ms. Verinder doing to Eliza?
