After the false alarm caused by the Pteranodon, the spies wandered around inside the prehistoric jungle until the blood red sun gradually began to set in the far horizon.
"Oh no! It's gonna be nighttime soon," said Eliza. "I don't wanna stay in this place at night! It's far too dangerous!"
"Hey, look! Is that a cottage?" exclaimed Claire, pointing to a wooden cottage in the far distance, half concealed by the lush leaves of prehistoric trees.
"OMG! You're right! It is a cottage!" answered Eliza, perceiving glimpses of the unevenly sized, wooden logs that made up the walls.
After the spies gently knocked on the door of the cottage, no one came to answer the door. However, they heard hurried footsteps and some rustling sound coming from within. Just when they were about to conclude that in fact it wasn't a human living inside but some sort of prehistoric creature, the door flew open and a caveman holding a spear appeared at the entrance.
"Ahhhh!" The spies and the caveman screamed in one voice.
"Sorry, I never intended to scare you," said the man apologetically. "I just never thought there were other human beings here. I thought it must've been some predator."
"I'm Claire and she's Eliza," replied Claire. "We're new players in this game and we're trying to find the fossilized mosquito to pass this level. But it's getting late and we're wondering whether we could stay here for the night?"
"Nice to meet you! I haven't met a single human being for a while now. My name is Andrzej, come on in," responded the man, who had a thick beard, and motioned them inside the hut.
The spies entered Andrzej's cottage to discover that it was surprisingly well constructed, furnished with minimal furniture - a wooden table and some stools and a stove in the corner.
"Please take a seat," said Andrzej, pointing to the wooden stools beside the window. "You must be really hungry. I was planning to cook some fish for dinner before you knocked on my door. You're welcome to join me for dinner and stay the night if you wish. Indeed, it is too dangerous to be outside at night."
While Andrzej was cooking the fish on his stone stove, the spies wasted no time in asking questions about their quest.
"So, do you know where the fossilized mosquito is?" enquired Eliza.
"Yes, it's on top of an enormous tree, I can show it to you tomorrow if you want," answered Andrzej as he placed the cooked fish on some wooden plates.
"Yes, please!" responded Claire.
"Dinner's ready!" said Andrzej as he motioned the girls to sit by the wooden table in the far corner.
