Playmobil Spies & Detectives: The Phantom of the Restaurant-8 摩比嬌娃&神探之餐廳魅影-8

After their discovery of the strange dressing room the in attic, the spies and detectives resolved to investigate into this case further by inquiring the restaurant staff about the particulars of the case.

Firstly, they went to inquire a waitress at the door leading into the main building, as the actress would have to pass this door in order to enter or leave the restaurant. After their inquiry of whether the waitress saw the actress leave from this door, the reply they received was in the negative. "I saw her walk in about an hour ago, and I didn't see her leave. Surely, she's still in there?" the puzzled waitress responded.

After some inquiries here and there, the group found nothing that could improve their current understanding of the case so far. As the exhausted spies and detectives reentered the waiting room, where they greeted the other guests before the tragedy happened, they heard a small, weeping sound. As they proceeded deeper into the room, they perceived that sitting on the Victorian coach and weeping, was Saunders' star broker- Ms Smith!

"Ms Smith! Are you alright? Poor creature- why are you weeping?" the good-hearted Claire inquired.

"Sob...sob....it was all my fault!....Sob...sob....miscounted the chairs......accidentally counted myself...thought it was thirteen....shouldn't have done.....very clumsy of me......the unlucky number...summoned the phantom...I'm of no significance to them anyways...." Ms Smith replied in an incoherent manner with sobs here and there, but was sufficient for the group to comprehend her message.

"Please, do not think like this Ms Smith." Eliza comforted the poor creature, "It was of no one's fault! Indeed, we even think that this case is...." As she was about to utter the word 'kidnap', Jeffrey checked her by nudging gently.

"This case is what?" the suddenly interested Ms Smith inquired eagerly.

"Oh, um, I was gonna say, that, um, it is, um, completely unavoidable," Eliza, who was quite taken aback by the sudden change of attitude of the star broker, quickly made up something to finish her previous sentence.

After they had gotten back to the hotel, and changed into a clean set of clothes, they gathered around a sofa and began to discuss the case.

"This case is really weird, no one that we know seemed to have kidnapped Saunders," Eliza said.

"Yet, the ghost doesn't appear to be real after what we've found in the dressing room." Claire answered. "So it must be that whoever kidnapped Saunders dressed himself as a ghost so as to make everyone focus on it instead of the kidnap itself."

"But, surely the ghost can't be fake! How did she float outside the window of our box!" Jeffrey responded, "Remember, we weren't on the ground floor, and she couldn't have used a ladder from downstairs as the restaurant is surrounded by water!"

"I reckon it's that Ms Nagel!" Eliza reasoned, "Her haughty manner and her dislike to Saunders makes her a very possible suspect. She could've kidnapped Saunders cos she hates her."

"I think it's Made-somthing-sell Laverte!" Claire responded, "How could a normal human being be so superstitious and started counting the chairs immediately after she entered the room? And such a coincidence it is that the phantom appeared right after she told Saunders about the chairs. What's more! She was the one that discovered Saunders was missing! If I have not mistaken, even if she didn't act as the ghost herself, she must have ordered someone else to do it."

Just when the conversation was reaching its peak and Jeffrey was about to mention something about the ghost being real again, Shaun said. "Guys, take a look at this!"

As the others started to read the webpage shown on Shaun's laptop, their face grew paler and paler by the second.
