Playmobil Detectives: Rapunzel - The Demon Ship-19

Now that Rapunzel's evil spirit was gone for good, they could finally concentrate on solving the hidden message.

"Done!" Before long, Blythe has finished scribbling and exclaimed, "That's all the symbols on the pages that I've glanced at. Shaun, now I need your help in solving this message."

"First of all, we need to figure out what kind of language this message was written in," contemplated Shaun.

"Since the captain of this ship is British, I'd naturally guess that this was written in English," reasoned Blythe. "No, wait! But, in my dream, Rapunzel said to her governess that her father had always laid emphasis on her French grammar. This could be a hint that it's written in French!"

"You're logic is definitely sound," responded Shaun thoughtfully. "If I remember correctly, the most common letter of the alphabet by far is the letter E in both French and English. So, we should start by making a tally of the most common symbol in this message, which must be E, then we'll see if the rest of the message appears French or English."

"Luckily, I just obtained an A* in A-Level French last summer, so I hope I'll at least be of some use," answered Blythe. "But, of course, my French is nowhere near as good as you, Shaun."

"Why do I feel like a complete idiot standing next to these guys?" thought Tiffany as she got completely lost whilst trying to follow their conversation.

After filling in all E's in the message, Shaun said, "The next most common letter is probably 'A' for both languages as well."

"Gosh, this is so fun!" exclaimed Blythe. "It's just like hangman, except that we don't know if we've guessed right or not!"

Suddenly, they heard a bone-chilling, shrill laughter coming from behind them. "Tiffany, can you stop giggling? It's really distracting!" said Blythe, without taking her eyes from the piece of paper on which the message was written.

"Wtf, it wasn't me......" retorted Tiffany. Then, dreading what she would see, Tiffany reluctantly turned her head around to face the source of laughter and discovered that the figure of a girl wearing a red dress was standing by the staircase. Her pale face was partly covered by her golden, plaited hair, revealing a set of red eyes with a death stare. In fact, the magic charm which they thought have destroyed Rapunzel's ghost was not as powerful as they assumed, and had only just scared it away temporarily. It simply entered from the door above and descended down the stairs into the room, without having to enter by the door.

What's more, Rapunzel was no ordinary ghost. After the years of being on this ship, it had absorbed the aura essence of the universe and, like a magnet, it had gathered all the spirits of the people who died in the shipwreck and transformed into a demonic entity, constituted by resentment.

"Yikes!" screamed Tiffany. "Ra.....Ra....Rapunzel's here!"

Blythe briefly turned around and glanced at the demonic entity. "Tiffany, it's your time to shine!" said Blythe calmly. "Go and take care of her whilst we finish solving this message."

"But.....but...." Tiffany trembled so much that she struggled to express herself properly.

"No 'buts', Tiffany," responded Blythe. "Remember that she attempted to seduce your Jeffie, this is your chance to take revenge!"

"OMFG, you're right, Britney!" answered Tiffany, suddenly with all the energy returning to her body. "How dare you seduce ma dearest Jeffie, go die, b****!"

After her insults, Tiffany dashed towards the demon and raised her hand to slap its face. Nevertheless, the demon merely extended its hand and, without touching Tiffany, the latter felt herself being lifted above the ground by her neck. Then, Tiffany was gradually pulled towards the demon.

"Ahhhhh!" Tiffany tried to scream at the top of her voice whilst her feet dangled in the air, but she was unable to utter a single sound.
