Loitering outside the bathroom waiting for Tiffany, Jeffrey gradually grew impatient as his body started to feel numb from the cold. Having an odd sensation that something was spying on him, Jeffrey decided to start whistling. However, his thoughts soon wondered off towards the girl in the red dress, which had been the topic of their conversation before Tiffany's stomach rumbled.
"Hmmm, I wonder what she looks like," thought Jeffrey. "How old was she when she died in the shipwreck? What could her name be?"
Suddenly, a cold hand placed on Jeffrey's right shoulder dragged him back to reality. With his heart in his mouth, he slowly turned his head around, only to see Tiffany standing behind him, with a bizarre smile on her face.
"Whoa! Tiffany, you nearly scared the sh*t outta me!" said Jeffrey, relieved to see that it was only his friend. "What took so long?" Tiffany didn't reply, she only smiled at Jeffrey, who failed to notice her unusually pale face.
After around fifteen minutes inside the cubicle, Tiffany finally relieved herself from her stomach pain and merrily strolled towards the washbasin to wash her hands, not forgetting to admire her own reflection in the mirror. "I hope Jeffrey didn't hear the noises of me pooping from outside, LOL. 'Else it'll completely ruin his impression of me!"
Then, she casually walked towards the wooden door and turned its handle. Nevertheless, she was devastated to discover that it was locked from the outside.
"Help, Jeffie, the door's locked!" screamed Tiffany, then a sudden thought entered her mind. "OMFG, Jeffie! Did you lock the door? It's NOT funny, ok? Open it! I'm scared!"
Nonetheless, after calling for some minutes, Tiffany decided that she has had enough. With a heavy kick, the dilapidated wooden door burst open, only to reveal that Jeffrey was nowhere to be found.
Meanwhile, Shaun and Blythe have already commenced their search for clues inside the cabin, as they dared not venture far in fear that Jeffrey and Tiffany wouldn't be able to find them after returning from the lavatory, yet they didn't want to stay idle.
"Let's start with the most possible route," said Shaun. "Do you remember what the wardrobe that you mentioned looked like? You said that the girl found some sort of a book in it."
"Yeah, it looked quite familiar and I swear I've seen it somewhere before....." responded Blythe. "Aha! If not all the wardrobes in the rooms look alike, the one that appeared in my dream looked exactly like the one in your bedroom downstairs."
"Well, then, let's go down and check!" answered Shaun excitedly as he and Blythe hurried down the stairs into the bedroom in which he and Jeffrey slept that night.
"Bingo! I was right!" exclaimed Blythe immediately after she perceived the wardrobe. "Not only does the wardrobe itself look similar, but also the background looks identical - I remember that Oriental screen in front of the window covered by dark red curtains." Blythe said as she pointed to the objects to which she alluded.
Then she continued, "If I remember correctly, the book was discovered in the bottommost drawer." At the conclusion of her speech, Blythe bent down and opened the lowest drawer of the wardrobe, only to discover that it was filled with paper tainted with yellow spots.
"Hmmm, these are letters," mused Shaun as he picked one up and essayed to decipher its contents. "This one was dated January 1875."
"Found it!" exclaimed Blythe in ecstasy as she held up a tattered, old book buried by the letters at the bottom of the drawer. "This was the exact book that appeared in my dreams, I remember its plain red cover with golden linings." Blythe eagerly opened its yellowed pages.
"Seems to be a ship log or a diary of some sort," contemplated Shaun after skimming through its contents. "Wait, you said that this girl in the red dress was the daughter of the captain of this ship, right? Then, this might help shed some light on her identity."
"Wait, what's this?" said Blythe as she pointed to what appeared to be a drawing at the bottom of one page. Then, she quickly flicked through the pages, discovering that there were different drawings of a similar kind on every single page. "I reckon the symbols could be some form of a hidden message!"
Just at that very instant, the door was flung open violently. Shaun and Blythe, started by this sudden noise, turned around, only to perceive Tiffany standing alone by the doorway, with an angry expression on her face.
"Jeffie! How dare you lock me in the loo and ditch me!" screamed Tiffany. "That was not funny at all! If you didn't want to wait, you could've......." However, Tiffany soon trailed off as she noticed that Jeffrey was not in the room either. "Where's ma Jeffie?" enquired Tiffany.
"What d'you mean? Isn't he with you?" answered Shaun, confused. "I thought he accompanied you to the loo."
"He did, but he ditched me!" responded Tiffany in frustration before she started recounting what happened in the lavatory. After the conclusion of her speech, Shaun's face turned unusually pale as he said, "Oh no! We've gotta find Jeff as soon as possible. Something tells me that he could be in danger!"
