教授、莎曼莎、艾莉諾和布朗先生一行人走出通道後，映入眼簾的竟是一個意外地寬敞的密室。
After Professor Mobilux, Samantha, Elinor and Mr Brown left the secret tunnel behind them, what met their eyes was a surprisingly spacious chamber.
在密室的正中央豎立著一根柱子，上面密密麻麻的全是古埃及文字。
Situated right in the centre of the chamber was a pillar completely covered with Hieroglyphics.
經過有學習過古埃及文的莎曼莎仔細研讀一番後説：「這裡還有一個機關通往另一個秘密通道，只是，有些文字已經剝落，我看不出來到底如何才能啟動機關。」
Samantha, who understands the Ancient Egyptian language, studied the pillar carefully and concluded: "There seems to be another secret passage somewhere here; however, some of the words have faded due to age and I cannot quite make out where exactly it is."
這時，布朗先生覺得有些絕望了，便靠在柱子上。突然，不知從何處傳出轟隆轟隆的巨響～原來布朗先生靠在柱子的地方不偏不倚就是啟動機關的開關。
Mr Brown, after feeling extremely discouraged, resolved to lean on the pillar. Suddenly, there was a deafeningly rumbling noise from a far distance. Mr Brown, in his fit of disappointment, had accidentally touched the button to open the secret passage when leaning on the pillar without intending to!

艾莉諾發現在離他們大約一公尺處的地上，沙快速地流掉後，有一個地洞緩緩地浮現了！
Elinor discovered that sand was rapidly draining away at a distance of about a metre away from them to reveal another opening to a tunnel leading further down into the Sphinx!
他們沿著地洞下去後，映入眼簾的是一個疑似神殿的建築物。
After following the path in the tunnel, what met their eyes was a temple-like building.
他們看過建築物前面後没有發現任何線索，便繞到後面去瞧瞧兒。想不到，又被教授發現了另一個鑰匙孔，形狀和他手上拿的鑰匙一模一樣。
After closely examining the front of the building to find no clues, they walked to the back to examine it further. To their astonishment, they discovered another keyhole shaped like the key!
於是，教授用盡力氣將鑰匙插進孔裏，這次，絲毫不需轉動，就聽到『乓』的一聲巨響，好像有門瞬間被打開的聲音。
The professor pushed the key into the hole with all his might. This time, without the need of turning, they heard a loud bang, like a door being opened abruptly.
他們繞到神殿的正面後赫然發現～有一個之前絲毫没注意到的「隱形門」被打開了。更驚人的是裏面竟然藏著四個卡諾卜罈！
After turning back to the front of the building again, they perceived that an invisible door in the building had opened, which they hadn't noticed before. What's more surprising was that inside the cabinet, there were four Canopic Jars!
這時，布朗先生竟突然大叫：「哇！已經這麼晚啦！」，大家才注意到已經接近傍晚了！
Without warning, Mr Brown suddenly exclaimed in surprise: "Wow, it's that late already!?" Only then, did the others notice that it was very near sundown.
教授説：「咱們還是儘早回房間休息吧！我怕到了晚上没有陽光我們走不出獅身人面獸，不如我們明天早一點兒出發，再來研究這幾個卡諾卜罈～但是大家要切記，不能跟任何除了我們這些人以外的人提到這件事。首先是因爲我們尚未確定這些是屬於誰的卡諾卜罈；另一方面我怕有不法份子會起貪念，所以大家還是別提，以防萬一。」
The professor said: "Looks like we should call it a day here and leave any further investigation until tomorrow as I am afraid we would lose our way in the Sphinx without sunlight. But, remember, do not tell anyone outside our group about anything that has happened today. This is because, firstly, we are not sure yet of who these Canopic Jars belong to; and also, I am afraid there would be greedy people trying to steal them illegally, so it's best not to mention anything, just in case."
説完，大家便關上「隱形門」，把卡諾卜罈留在櫃子裏，然後就匆匆離開了。
After the professor has finished, they closed the door to the cabinet and hurried out of the Sphinx, leaving the Canopic Jars behind.
可是，等到他們隔天再來看，赫然發現，所有的卡諾卜罈全不見了！
However, after they came back on the following day, they were extremely dumb-founded to discover that all the Canopic Jars were gone!
這究竟是怎麼一回事呢？
What exactly has happened to the Canopic Jars?
