After some time, Shaun found himself to be gradually walking towards a Victorian banquet hall.
"Where am I?" he thought.
In the background, the murmuring of people and the mechanical lapping of the tides mingled in perfect harmony, forming the sweet tune of a soothing lullaby.
"I can hear the sound of tides, so this must be on a ship out at sea!" thought Shaun.
The large room was furnished with luxurious wallpapers, bright red curtains with a lavish Persian carpet on the floor and a grand chandelier on the ceiling.
"But which ship is this?" mused Shaun.
Men dressed in suits and women in gowns were chatting away merrily as the music 'Frühlingsstimmen Waltz' was being played in the background by a vintage phonograph.
"Judging from their attire, this must be in the past - sometime during the Victorian era," murmured Shaun.
He noticed that everything seemed extremely blurry, even at a near distance.
"Have I forgotten to put on my glasses?"
Shaun walked towards the middle of the room but no one seemed to be aware of his presence.
"Excuse me, ma'am, could you tell me where I am?" Shaun enquired a Victorian lady in a pink gown. However, she didn't seem to have heard him and continued to stare into space. He touched her shoulder, but his hand went right through her, as if she was a projected image.
"Wait, this is not reality," thought Shaun. "This is in someone's memory, that's why they can't see me. But who's memory is this?"
Suddenly, Shaun noticed a young girl with golden hair in an indigo dress, she was the only person that did not appear blurry. Their eyes met.
"This memory must belong to her, as she's the only distinct figure here," thought Shaun. "I have to go and ask for her identity."
Thus, Shaun walked quietly towards the little girl; however, on perceiving him, the little girl began to run away.
"Wait! I've something to ask you," exclaimed Shaun, picking up his pace. Nonetheless, Shaun suddenly felt a dizzy sensation as everything whirled around him, all he could hear were echoes of the sinister laughter of the little girl.
At that moment, Shaun's eyes snapped open, only to discover that he was back on his bed in the bedroom inside the ship's cabin. He turned over onto his side to see Jeffrey lying on the bed next to him. Abruptly, he noticed a ghostly, transparent figure of a woman with long, golden, braided hair, sitting on top of Jeffrey's sleeping figure. His heart skipped a beat.
