"What's so urgent that Tom insisted us to go to the headquarters?" wondered Eliza on the way there. As they were rarely called to the headquarters, and were usually informed of their missions through video conversations.
However, when they arrived at Tom's office, the spies gasped in astonishment. The last time they have been in there, Tom's office was just an ordinary looking office; but now, what came into view was a luxurious princess-themed office decorated with a pink desk, violet screens and a chaise longue on top of an opulent carpet.
"OMG Tom! What happened to your office?" enquired Eliza.
"I never knew you were a Disney fan!" commented Claire.
"No, in fact, I'm not," replied Tom as he sighed. "To make a long story short: I decided to refurbish my office a month ago, and the designer accidentally got my office plan confused with that of a lady. And when I found out, it was already like this and there was no going back."
"Now, enough chit chat," said Tom and sang: "Let's get down to business..."
"I didn't know you were a Mulan fan!" exclaimed Eliza.
"You know a bit more about me every mission you do, don't ya?" winked Tom. "Now, your mission: Someone has been making dormant submarine volcanoes erupt all around the world, causing sudden Earthquakes and tsunamis. Not only that, but also, new land began to emerge from the volcanic eruptions, in-between the continents. Until now, the headquarters have been able to discover neither the person behind all this nor the motive behind it. Your mission this time is to find out who is doing all this and put a stop to it as soon as possible before further damage is done." Tom explicated as he ran through a presentation on volcanoes.
"OMG, who would do such a boring thing as this?" yawned Eliza. "I mean, dormant volcanoes mean that they're gonna erupt any time, aren't they? So why bother making them erupt?"
"No, that's an active volcano, Eliza. Dormant volcanoes are ones that are quiet, but could possibly erupt," responded Tom. "Looks like Year 7 Geography has completely escaped your memory, haha."
"This time, as the mission is deemed to be quite dangerous and complicated, I've teamed you up with another spy agent," elucidated Tom. "Emily, please come out and meet your partners!"
As Emily emerged from behind the screen, Claire and Eliza gasped in utter astonishment.
Who was this Emily and why were the spies so surprised to see her?
