不久後，大夥兒看到了一臺廂型車刺眼的頭燈朝著他們的方向前進，還聽到了震耳欲聾的引擎聲。廂型車突然煞車，使得塵土飛揚；隨後，司機便從駕駛座跳了下來。當大家的眼睛逐漸適應車子頭燈的強光後，他們發現原來廂型車的司機是一位大約有兩米高、又高又壯、留著長長的灰色鬍鬚、禿頭的男子。他頭上綁著紅色的布條、戴著墨鏡、年齡貌似約60歲左右；然而，看著他壯碩的身材完全看不出來。

「這是我家的司機～波斯可。」不知是否是錯覺，孝恩發現可洛迪雅的聲音失去了之前的親切感，卻多了一分冷漠。「他也是我的管家。我不在的時候，都是他在管理那座城堡的。」

「天啊！你看起來好像『七龍珠』裏的龜仙人啊！」傑佛瑞説著便走向前和波斯可先生握手，卻被他冰冷的雙手下了一跳。「他是我最喜歡的卡通人物了！」

「哦，是嗎？我從來沒看過那部卡通。」波斯可用著宏亮的聲音、帶著些許波蘭腔調説：「如果他眞的長得很像我，那傢伙一定很酷！哈哈哈哈！」他的笑聲在黑夜裏迴盪著。

「好啦，我們趕緊上車吧！」可洛迪雅又用著冷漠的語氣說。「現在天色已晚，我的朋友們舟車勞頓了一整天也需要休息。波斯可，幫他們把行李放到後車廂裏。大夥兒把行李交給波斯可就可以上車了。現在天這麼黑，不適合在外面逗留太久。」

Bientôt, ils aperçurent les phares aveuglants d'une camionnette qui avança vers eux, accompagnés du bruit assourdissant de sa locomotive. La camionnette s'arrêta, envoyant de la poussière partout. Puis, le conducteur émergea de la camionnette. Alors que les yeux du groupe se sont graduellement habitués aux phares arrière brillant de la camionnette, ils perçurent le conducteur d'être un homme grand et trapu de deux mètres, avec une barbe grise, une tête chauve et un morceau de tissu rouge, enroulé autour de sa tête. Il portait des lunettes de soleil et semblait avoir environ soixante ans, ce qui ne reflétait pas du tout dans son physique musclé.

"Puis-je vous présenter mon chauffeur - Bosko." Bizarrement, Shaun remarqua que la voix de Klaudia avait perdu une partie de son ancienne douceur, mais fut remplacée par une teinte de froideur. "Il est aussi mon majordome, c'est lui qui gère mon château quand je suis absente."

"Mon dieu, vous ressemblez à Maître Roshi de l'anime 'Dragon Ball'!" s'exclama Jeffrey stupéfait en s'avançant pour serrer la main de M. Bosko, mais il étais surpris par la froideur de ses mains. "Il était mon personnage préféré de cet anime!"

"Ah oui, monsieur? Moi, je n'ai jamais regardé cet anime," répondit Bosko d'une voix forte et percutante avec un accent polonais, "Mais il doit être un homme cool s'il me ressemble, hahahaha!" Puis, il éclata dans un rire bruyant qui fit d'écho dans les environs.

"Bien, assez bavardage," Klaudia interrompit le groupe en utilisant sa voix froide. "Il se fait tard et mes amis ont besoin de repos après un si long voyage ... Bosko, aidez-les à mettre leurs bagages à l'arrière de la voiture ... Mes amis, donnez vos bagages à Bosko et entrez dans la voiture. Ce n'est pas sûr d'être dehors à nuit"

Before long, they perceived the blinding headlights of a mini-van advancing towards them accompanied by the deafening roar of its engine. The van skidded to a halt, sending dust flying everywhere. Then, from the driver's seat, out hopped the driver. As the eyes of the group gradually became accustomed to the bright taillight of the van, they perceived the driver to be a tall, stout man of two metres, with a chest-length, grey beard, a bald head and a piece of red cloth wrapped around his head. He wore dark shades and appeared to be around sixty years of age, which did not reflect upon his muscular physique. 

"May I introduce to you my driver - Bosko." For some bizarre reason, Shaun noticed that Klaudia's voice had lost some of its former sweetness, but was replaced with a tinge of coolness. "He is also my butler. Basically, he manages the castle when I'm away."

"Crikey, you look just like Master Roshi from the anime Dragon Ball!" exclaimed Jeffrey in amazement as he stepped forward to shake hands with Mr Bosko, but was taken aback by the coldness of his hands. "He was my favourite character from that anime!" 

"Really, sir? I've never watched that anime before," responded Bosko in a loud booming voice in fluent English but with a tinge of Polish accent, "But he must be one cool guy if he looks like me, sir. Hahahahah!" Then, he bursted out into a boisterous laugh that echoed in the surroundings. 

"Right, enough chit chat," Klaudia interrupted the group using her cool voice. "It is getting late and my friends need rest from a long journey. Bosko, help them put their luggage in the back of the car. Guys, just hand your luggage to Bosko and hop into the car. It is not safe to be out here in the dark."

大夥兒坐在快艇上，在微風中歡樂地聊著天。「哇！我眞不敢相信我坐在一艘快艇上！」娜迪雅興奮地說。「這簡直和好萊屋演的電影情節一模一樣！」

「說到好萊屋電影⋯⋯」蒂芬尼忽然喃喃自語道。「我有個主意。小傑，跟我來！」

Le groupe d'amis tchatchait joyeusement tout en restant assis sur le hors-bord, profitant de la douce et fraîche brise marine qui passait devant leurs cheveux, caressant tendrement leurs visages.

"Wow, c'est incroyable!" s'exclama Nadia d'excitation. "C'est la première fois que je suis sur un hors-bord, j'ai l'impression d'être dans un de ces films d'Hollywood."

"En parlant de films d'Hollywood..." dit soudainement Tiffany, "En fait, j'ai une idée. Jeffie, viens avec moi."

The group of friends chatted away jubilantly whilst sitting on the speedboat, enjoying the cool yet gentle sea breeze brushing past their hair, tenderly caressing their faces. 

"Wow, this is amazing!" exclaimed Nadia in excitement. "This is actually the first time I've ever been on a speedboat. I feel like I'm in one of those Hollywood movies." 

"Speaking of Hollywood movies...." Tiffany suddenly uttered, "Actually, I have an idea. Jeffie, come with me."

「卡蜜拉！妳在這裡鬼鬼祟祟地幹嘛？」蒂芬尼用著懷疑的語氣問道，並且又叫錯了可洛迪雅的名字。

「蒂芬尼，妳怎麼那麼沒禮貌啊！人家的名字是可洛迪雅，還有，人家哪裡有鬼鬼祟祟的啊？」Eliza 駡道，並代替蒂芬尼向可洛迪雅道歉。「不好意思喔，別理會蒂芬尼。她的字典裏沒有『禮貌』這兩個字。」

「噢，我不會跟她計較的！」可洛迪雅面帶甜美的笑容説。「我是說，因爲名字太長的關係，時常有人將我的名字叫錯。久而久之也就習慣了。」

「妳住在這附近嗎？」娜迪雅問道。

「喔，沒有耶！」可洛迪雅搖著頭答道。「其實，我平時都住在華沙。可是因爲我爸爸擁有一座位在這附近的一座小島上的城堡。我小時候並不喜歡那兒，因爲傳說那座島嶼鬧鬼。然而，我長大變成一位小說家後，便開始對那座城堡感興趣。那裡逐漸就變成了我許多靈感的來源，所以現在我常常去那裡找尋靈感。但是因爲那裡很偏僻，所以我去之前都要先採購好糧食。」

「哇！原來你是小說家啊？這也太酷了吧！」傑佛瑞的讚美讓蒂芬尼更吃醋了。

「是啊，只是不是你所想像的很有名的那種，」可洛迪雅謙虛地答道。「我的專長是寫恐怖小説，尤其是吸血鬼。可是和『暮光之城』那種不一樣喔，哈哈！」

「天啊，我超～～愛看恐部小説的！」Claire 説。「只是，每次看完晚上就得開著燈睡覺了，呵呵！」

「是嗎？那你一定會喜歡我的小說的！」可洛迪雅回答說。「不然你們一起到我的城堡來？我可以帶你們到處參觀，順便給你們看我的拙作，不過恐怕會讓你們見笑了！」

「唉唷，你太謙虛了啦！我們眞的可以去參觀嗎？那實在太棒了！只是，怕會去打擾到你！」Eliza 説。「不過，我們大學後天就開課了，所以我和 Claire 恐怕不能去了。實在太可惜了！」

然而，不是只有 Claire 和 Eliza 很想去參觀。大夥兒都非常興奮地表示自己也想去，唯獨蒂芬尼站在角落吃飛醋。可是，又因爲必須避免可洛迪雅勾引『她的小傑』，不得不跟去。

那天下午五點，孝恩、傑佛瑞、娜迪雅及蒂芬尼來到了碼頭和拿著大包小包的可洛迪雅碰面。「這是每天往返小島的快艇。它早上九點從小島出發開往這座碼頭；晚上五點開回小島。」可洛迪雅指著停在港邊的豪華快艇解釋道。「因爲很少人知道這座小島，所以每次幾乎都只有我一個人乘坐快艇。這次有你們就不會寂寞了！」

可洛迪雅說畢，大夥兒便一一跳上快艇。「 蒂芬尼，快點兒！船要開了啦！」娜迪雅沒看到蒂芬尼的身影後大叫道。她回頭一望纔赫然發現蒂芬尼正拖著兩大箱行李箱，氣喘吁吁地朝著快艇的方向緩緩移動。

「天啊！我們只不過要去住兩個晚上，你帶那麼多行李幹嘛呀？」娜迪雅百思不解地問。

「這就是我兩天的行李啊！」雖然蒂芬尼很累了，但仍然翻著白眼答道。

隨後，引擎啓動了，快艇優雅地劃過海面，濺起了白白的浪花。

"Camilla, qu'est-c'que tu fais ici? Il m'semble que tes actions sont très méfiantes!" s'exclama Tiffany avec suspicion, faisant une erreur avec le nom de Klaudia encore une fois.

"Tiffany, comment impolie! Elle s'appelle Klaudia et elle n'est pas méfiante!" gronda Eliza, avant qu'elle s'excusa auprès de Klaudia de la part de Tiffany. "S'il vous plaît, ne la dérange pas, elle sait pas quoi sont les mœurs."

"Oh, bien sûr, cela ne me dérange pas!" sourit Klaudia avec douceur. "Je veux dire, il est très fréquent que les gens fassent des erreurs avec mon nom, donc je suis très habituée de cela. Mon nom commence par la lettre K, et non par C, mais la plupart des Anglais ne le savent pas."

"Vivez-vous à proximité?" demanda Nadia.

"Oh, non", répondit Klaudia en secouant la tête. "En fait, je vis normalement à Varsovie, mais mon père possède un petit château sur une petite île très proche de cet endroit, je ne l'aimais pas quand j'étais petite, car le chãteau me semblait assez effrayant car il y a des rumeurs qui disent qu'il était hanté. Mais après avoir grandie et être devenue écrivaine, j'ai commencé à m'intéresser à cette île, car elle m'a donné beaucoup d'inspiration pour mes romans ... Maintenant, je fréquente souvent ce château, mais il est situé dans un endroit très loin d'ici. Donc je dois toujours faire beaucoup de shopping avant mon séjour."

"Oh, wow, vous êtes une écrivaine? C'est trop cool!" s'exclama Jeffrey en admiration, ce qui irrita encore plus Tiffany.

"Ouais, mais pas aussi célèbre comme vous m'avez probablement imaginée d'être," répondit modestement Klaudia. "J'écris principalement le genre gothique, surtout les vampires, mais pas comme ceux de Twilight, hahaha."

"Mon dieu, J'ADORE les histoires gothiques", chuchota Claire. "Bien que cela finisse souvent par m'allumer toutes les lumières pour que j'peux dormir la nuit MDR."

"Vraiment? Alors vous apprécierez certainement mes livres", déclara Klaudia avec certitude. "Que diriez-vous de vous venez tous à mon château, je peux vous montrer quelqu'uns de mes romans et je peux vous montrer autour de l'endroit, je suis sûre que ce sera un excellent endroit pour les fans d'horreur à explorer."

"Mon dieu, pouvons-nous vraiment visiter votre château? Ce serait génial!" s'exclama Eliza. "Mais, malheureusement, les cours à l'université vont commencer après-demain pour Claire et moi, donc nous ne pourrons pas partir. Quelle dommage!"

Cependant, il n'y avait pas seulement Claire et Eliza qui étaient intéressées à cette proposition. Bientôt, l'entier du groupe devint très excité à l'idée de visiter le château de Klaudia, à l'exception de Tiffany, qui boudait dans un coin car elle ne voulait pas y aller, mais elle était obligée de le faire car elle devait personnellement s'assurer que Jeffie ne sera pas séduit par Nadia ou Klaudia. Par conséquent, elle fit semblant d'être intéressée aussi.

"Camilla! What are you doing, moping about here?" exclaimed Tiffany with suspicion, getting Klaudia's name wrong. 

"Tiffany! How rude! Her name is Klaudia, and she's not moping about!" scolded Eliza, after which she apologised to Klaudia on behalf of Tiffany. "Please don't mind her, she doesn't know what manners are."

"Oh, of course I won't mind!" smiled Klaudia sweetly. "I mean, it is very common for people to get my name wrong anyways, so I'm quite used to it. My name starts with the letter K, and not C; but most English people don't know that."

"Do you live close by?" enquired Nadia.

"Oh, no, I don't," responded Klaudia, shaking her head. "Actually, I normally live in Warsaw. However, my father owns a small castle on a tiny island very close to this place. I didn't really like that place when I was little, as it seemed quite scary and there are legends saying that it is haunted. However, after I grew up and became a writer, I started to take an interest in that place as it gave me many inspirations for my novels. Now, I often frequent that castle, but it's situated in a very remote place, so I often have to do a lot of shopping before my stay."

"Oh, wow, you're a writer? How cool is that?" exclaimed Jeffrey in admiration, which irritated Tiffany even more. 

"Yeah, but not a very famous one like you've probably imagined," replied Klaudia modestly. "I major in the gothic genre, especially vampires. But not like the ones in Twilight, hahaha."

"OMG, I LOVE gothic stories," chimed in Claire. "Although that often ends up in me having to leave the lights on to sleep at night LOL."

"Really? Then you would definitely enjoy my books," said Klaudia. "How about all of you come over to my castle? I can show you some of my novels and I'll show you around the place. I'm sure it would be an excellent place for horror fans to explore."

"OMG, can we really visit your castle? It'd be amazing!" exclaimed Eliza. "But, unfortunately, university classes start on the day after tomorrow for me and Claire. So, we won't be able to go. What a shame!" 

However, it seems like it wasn't just Claire and Eliza that were interested. Soon, the rest of the group all became quite excited about visiting Klaudia's castle, all except Tiffany, who was just sulking in a corner as she didn't want to go, but was forced to as she had to personally make sure that Jeffie wouldn't be seduced by either Nadia or Klaudia. Therefore, she pretended to be interested as well.

At five o'clock in the afternoon, Shaun, Jeffrey, Nadia and Tiffany arrived at the harbour where they met Klaudia, who was holding bags of grocery shopping, whilst waiting for them to arrive. "This is the daily speedboat that goes to and from the island. In the morning at 9am, the speedboat sails to this harbour, and at 5pm, it sails back to the island," elucidated Klaudia, pointing to a luxurious speedboat beside the dock. "As there aren't many people that go to the island, it's often just me sitting in this speedboat alone, going to and from the island. Now that I have you guys as company, I won't be lonely anymore."

Afterwards, the reduced group of friends started hopping in to the speedboat one by one.
"Hurry up, Tiffany! The boat is about to set sail," hastened Nadia after not perceiving Tiffany's figure on board. Only after glancing back did she notice that Tiffany was dragging two enormous suitcases behind her, panting heavily as she tried to lift them up onto the speedboat.

"Gosh! We're only going to visit for two nights. What did you bring so much luggage for?" enquired Nadia, bewildered.

"That is my luggage for two days, duh!" responded Tiffany, who managed to roll her eyes despite her fatigue.

Soon afterwards, the engine of the speedboat was started, and it sped across the calm seawater, slicing through its surface like a sharp knife whilst sending up clouds of ghostly pale foam.

隔天早上是個大晴天，大夥兒趁著好天氣到法國著名的城市～尼斯觀光。由於天氣實在太熱了，大家很快地都汗流浹背、口乾舌燥，想喝點兒什麼涼的飲料。「唉唷，我快渴死了啦！」蒂芬尼最先發難、抱怨道。

「我也是！」Claire 提議道。「剛好那兒有一間超市，不如咱們去瞧瞧裏邊兒有賣啥飲料？」

「咱們也順便把午餐給買了唄～我好餓啊！」孝恩摸著肚子説。

Le lendemain matin après le dîner barbecue était une autre journée ensoleillée dans laquelle le groupe d'amis visita la célèbre ville de Nice. En raison du temps chaud et ensoleillé, ils devinrent rapidement épuisés et déshydratés, ce qui les fit désirer pour une boisson glacée. "Mon dieu, j'suis desséchée!" se plaignit Tiffany.

"Franchement dire, moi aussi!" répondit Claire avant de suggérer, "Pourquoi n'allons pas au supermarché là-bas et acheter une boisson?"

"Alors, on peut aussi prendre le déjeuner, parce que je meurs de faim!" dit Shaun après avoir caressé son ventre vide.

The following morning after the barbecue dinner was another bright, sunny day, in which the group of friends toured the famous city of Nice. Due to the warm and sunny weather, they soon became quite exhausted and dehydrated, making them long for a thirst-quenching, icy drink.  "OMG, I'm parched!" complained Tiffany.

"To be honest, me too!" responded Claire before suggesting, "Why not let's go over to that supermarket there and get some drinks."

"Then, we can go for lunch, cuz I'm starving!" said Shaun after caressing his empty belly.

那天，大家都過了一個充實的下午。孝恩在溫暖的海水裏游泳，Eliza 和娜迪雅則是在一旁的沙灘上邊做日光浴邊聊天。
