The group of friends chatted away jubilantly whilst sitting on the speedboat, enjoying the cool yet gentle sea breeze brushing past their hair, tenderly caressing their faces.
"Wow, this is amazing!" exclaimed Nadia in excitement. "This is actually the first time I've ever been on a speedboat. I feel like I'm in one of those Hollywood movies."
"Speaking of Hollywood movies...." Tiffany suddenly uttered, "Actually, I have an idea. Jeffie, come with me."
Without uttering another word, Tiffany started heading towards the deck of the speedboat. "Where are you going?" enquired Jeffrey, bewildered. However, after he was unable to tell whether Tiffany hadn't replied or her response was swallowed by a sudden gust of wind, Jeffrey became quite anxious, as he was afraid that Tiffany might do something silly or get herself into trouble. Hence, Jeffrey followed her onto the deck.
On arrival on the deck, Jeffrey glanced up and perceived Tiffany just standing there, opening her arms wide apart. Just when Jeffrey was about to enquire after the cause of all this, abruptly, Tiffany fell forward. Instinctively, Jeffrey's hands wrapped around Tiffany's waist to prevent her from falling off the deck. In a split second, Jeffrey suddenly felt a déjà vu sensation, as if he had experienced this somewhere, sometime before. Nevertheless, the feeling soon faded and he snapped back in focus only to discover Tiffany's hands touching the back of his palm, making him unable to take his hands away.
"Aw, Jeffie, I knew you would save me if I fell over!" whispered Tiffany. "This is so romantic, just like the scene in the Titanic with Jack and Rose. Look at that beautiful sunset in the far distance!"
"I wouldn't want this boat to sink," replied Jeffrey curtly as he forcefully freed his arms from Tiffany and returned to where Nadia and Klaudia were chatting.
"What were you and Tiffany doing?" enquired Nadia.
"She wanted to re-enact the Titanic," answered Jeffrey laconically after shaking his head and rolling his eyes.
As merry times always pass quickly, the group soon pulled in at a mini dock of the legendary island, by which time it was already completely dark. Quietly, without the group noticing, a mist had gradually stole in around them, making their surroundings even harder to be seen in the darkness. The feeble ray of the speedboat's headlight chased away layers of darkness, which, as thick as velvet, engulfed the surroundings, suffocating them.
"Let's wait here for my driver," Klaudia's clear voice cut through the deafening silence caused by the mist enveloping them like a sharp knife. "He'll be picking us up and drive us to the castle."
