The generous queen, although extremely angry at her husband, did not punish Daisy at all; instead, she calmly told Daisy that she wished to raise the child as her own, to which the latter, after thinking that her daughter would become a princess, gladly agreed.
仁慈的皇后雖然對於她先生的行為感到十分憤怒，但是，她並没有懲罰黛西，而是冷靜地對黛西説她希望能把孩子親自扶養長大。黛西因爲想要讓女兒成為公主，於是很樂意地答應了。
Due to her love for children, she was able to forgive the King and Daisy for their mistake and treated Daisy's child just like her own, starting by personally naming the baby girl Katrina.
皇后對孩子的愛讓她原諒了國王和黛西的過錯，她待黛西的孩子如同己出，並幫她起了個名子叫作【凱崔娜】。
Not long after, the Queen gave birth to a baby, whom she named Patricia. Whilst raising the two girls up, the Queen always strove to keep prejudice away from herself in order to treat them equally. Furthermore, she kept Katrina's true identity a secret from both children.
不久後，皇后也生下了一個小嬰兒，她將她命名為【帕特里夏】。在扶養兩個女兒長大的同時，皇后很努力的屏除偏見，試著以同等待遇對待兩個女孩兒。還有，她也絕口不提凱崔娜的身世。
But could it stay as a secret forever?
但是，這件事情究竟能被永遠隱瞞嗎？
Time flies, in a blink of an eye, sixteen years have passed, both Katrina and Patricia grown up to be beautiful teens.
時光飛逝，轉眼間，十六年過去了。凱崔娜和帕特里夏都成長為閉月羞花的二八佳人了。
Although the queen had been quite good at concealing the secret, Katrina found out the secret at the age of five, and from then on, she had a hatred towards her half-sister that sprang from deep within her, which was caused by her jealousy towards her being the true princess, and herself, being a peasant.
雖然皇后一直以來試圖隱瞞著那個天大的秘密，凱崔娜最終還是在五歲時就發現了。從那天起，一股對於她同父異母妹妹的憎恨由凱崔娜的心底油然而生，她一直嫉妒著她的妹妹是個真正的公主，而她只不過是個庶人。
However, the devious Katrina was extremely good at concealing the fact that she knew the secret from the oblivious king and queen, and pretended to love her sister tenderly, so, not even her sister knew her true mind.
然而，心機有如萬丈深淵的凱崔娜對於她已知道真相的事實隱瞞得很好，國王、皇后都不知道此事。凱崔娜也假裝很疼愛妹妹，就連帕特里夏都不知她的心。
One rainy morning, the King visited them in their chamber, where they were lamenting over the fact that they could not go out to the garden and announced a news.
一天下雨的早晨，兩名公主們正在抱怨因爲下雨所以無法去花園時，國王來到了他們的寢室，並告知她們一個消息。
"Tomorrow, the Prince Audrey from the neighbouring country would be visiting and staying with us for a fortnight. His aim in his stay is to choose one of thee to become his bride, as he has already came of age of marriage." the King said, "Dress thyselves up, showcase thy talents, but the most important of all, is to enjoy thyselves. Whoever ends up marrying the prince, I will be happy for her. And whoever didn't, will always have plenty more opportunities to marry some other princes from some other neighbouring country."
「明天，鄰國的奧德里王子將來訪我國，並在這兒待兩週。他這次的目的是爲了來從你們兩個裏面選出自己的王妃，因爲他已到了成婚之年。」國王說。「好好打扮自己，大展身手一下你們的才藝，但是，最重要的是要玩兒得開心。不管誰最終成了王妃我都會祝福她的。至於那個没選上的，也不用擔心，因爲嫁給其他鄰國王子的機會還多的呢！」
After the King has left, the overly competitive Katrina began to have an evil plan forming in her mind. What will she do to her sister in order to guarantee herself the position as the bride?
國王離開後，愛比較的凱崔娜開始醞釀一個邪惡的計劃。她究竟會爲了確保自己能夠當上王妃，對妹妹做出什麼傷天害理的事呢？
