Playmobil Detectives: Midnight Music-12

As they were ascending the flight of stairs, Amelie commenced to explain the entire situation to the detectives. "I met Stewy on the Internet about a year ago and we fell in love with each other straight away, as we can chat about anything." Jeffrey showed a face of doubt, which was frowned at by Shaun.

"Several months ago, when Stewy came to England for uni, we finally met for the first time, but it didn't seem like the first time we've met, as we've sent each other millions of photos already," Amelie continued, "Then, as he knew about my dream to take part in the upcoming piano contest, he told me that he found a perfect place for me to practise. He said that his grandma had recently bought this villa, and when he went to investigate, he discovered a secret tunnel leading from the garden to the basement, where there was a piano. So, I started practising here."

"Didn't he tell you that the piano is connected to another one at the top, and when you play the one downstairs, the one upstairs plays, too; causing a dramatic sound amplification?" Shaun queried.

"Yes....I think he did mention about the sound, but not about the other piano," Amelie answered, "But he told me not to worry, as no one will be able to find out....and he mumbled something about those two stupid detectives....."

Just when Jeffrey was about to bellow in frustration, the group reached the top of the stairs and emerged from a secret entrance to the garden of the villa. The detectives gasped in wonder.

Then, the group entered the house through the front door, thanks to Shaun's keys, and they sat down in the drawing room to resume their interrupted conversation. "So, tell us a bit more about this piano contest!" Shaun said.

"It is an annual event where young people of different ages can participate and it has always been my dream to be able to take part." Amelie elucidated, "However, recently, my family fell into debt and had to sell my piano to return the money. Therefore, I was left with two months before the contest, without a piano to practice. I..."

Abruptly, the group perceived the sound of music playing again. "What is happening?" Jeffrey questioned, bewildered.

"I knew it!" Shaun exclaimed, "Quick! Let's head back downstairs!"

The group then hurried towards the bookcase, activated the mechanism by pulling out the book, and dashed into the secret tunnel for the second time in one hour. "So, this is the secret tunnel that led you to the basement!" Amelie gasped in awe.

How come that the music has sounded when Amelie, the piano player, was sitting right in front of them?
