Playmobil Detectives: Midnight Music-9

On the following morning, right after breakfast, the doorbell rang. After Judy went to open the door, the detectives perceived Stuart entering the hallway, alone. Stuart sat down on the Victorian coach, glanced at the detectives and spoke thus. "My grandma is busy doing something else, which is much more important, so she sent me here to check on your progress. So, speak away!"

"Listen, we haven't discovered anything official yet, but," Jeffrey, furious about Stuart's attitude, started to explain. However, to his utter fury, he was rudely interrupted.

"Supernaturalist detectives, huh?" Stuart snorted in contempt, "I knew it from the moment I saw you two. You are no other than two scams. I'll ask my grandma to stop hiring you two. Give me back the keys and get out of our house!"

"Please, just give us one more night, then everything will be sorted," Shaun, swallowing his humiliation, pleaded.

"Isn't that what you said yesterday?" Stuart sneered, "Fine! Don't say that I am cruel. I'll give you one more day, and come back to hear the good news tomorrow morning at eight o'clock sharp. And if the result is still nothing, I guarantee that I'll sue the both of you for scam!" On the conclusion of his speech, Stuart stomped out of the house, banging the door as he departed. The detectives couldn't help perceiving the muffled giggling of Judy from the kitchen, who had been eavesdropping on their entire conversation, again.

After the humiliation of that morning, the young detectives, who had in fact already a vague idea of what was going on, but had no solid proofs, began to formulate a plan. "I can't stand that annoying kid," Jeffrey shouted angrily, "He only knows how to criticise, what can he do? Wait a minute.....what if, he is behind all this?"

"That is not entirely impossible," responded Shaun pensively, "From what we have gathered so far, the piano upstairs is not the only one in the house. There must be another one somewhere downstairs that is connected to the one in the attic, which was why the piano seemed to be playing by itself. So, there are two things we need to do tonight: first, locate the other piano in the house; secondly, find out who was playing the piano."

"Provided that the music will sound tonight," replied Jeffrey, "But...what I don't get is.....how can the two pianos be connected?"

"You'll see tonight," answered Shaun, "Now, we have to start planning about what we're gonna do tonight, we cannot afford to slip up again."

That night, the young detectives didn't sleep. They gathered in Jeffrey's room, pacing to and fro waiting for midnight. Nevertheless, when the clock downstairs struck midnight, no music  had sounded. What is going on?
