On the following morning, after riding atop the camels in the desert, the two young detectives woke up, ready to recommence their journey.
"Ooh! I feel much more refreshed," said Jeffrey as he stretched, "Finally no more odd dreams bothering me."
"What? Really?" responded Shaun, "That's not fair! Another dream was bothering me again last night!" Shaun then recounted his dream of Shonubis and Tiffernini from the previous night.
"Well that's weird!" exclaimed Jeffrey after hearing the dream, "Usually, when we do have those strange dreams, we have them together. But this time, I didn't dream a single thing last night! Now, I feel left out!"
"Speaking of weirdness," added Shaun, "What's weirder is the fact that, according to this tracking app, Tiffany hasn't moved at all since yesterday morning, and we're getting suspiciously close to her now, but without seeing any sight of her."
"That can't be right!" answered Jeffrey, "That means she has been in the middle of this desert all day! That doesn't make any sense."
"I think it does make sense now!" said Shaun after he jumped down from his camel and, pushing aside some sand, revealed a mobile phone buried underneath a thin layer of sand.
"Tiffany has dropped her phone!" shouted Jeffrey, "That's why she wasn't moving! Now what?"
"Hey! Take a look at this!" said Shaun as he pulled out a receipt, which has got tangled by a flap of the phone case.
"A checked-in receipt from the Hotel Memphis," exclaimed the excited Jeffrey, "That's gonna give us a clue where Tiffany has been staying, so we can track her down. Way to go, Shaun!"
Nonetheless, the attempts of the young detectives proved to be fruitless yet again after their enquiry at the Hotel Memphis.
"I am very sorry to inform you that Ms Tiffany Morris has just checked out this morning," answered the receptionist, "Are you her friends? May I enquire the reason for your looking for her?"
"Ummmm.....thanks......yeah....um, we're...um...her friends," stammered Jeffrey, "We're just....um...."
"Well, she told us that she was going to be staying here so that we can visit her." Shaun immediately came to Jeffrey's rescue, "But, recently, she has lost contact, and we are very anxious. However, now we think we know the reason why she lost contact, that's because she lost her phone! So, would you mind telling us where she is bound for, so we can return her phone to her?"
"Oh! That is indeed an emergency!" exclaimed the receptionist, "I am very sorry to say that we do not know where she has headed to, except that she appeared to have returned to her own country after finishing her travels here. I am afraid that is all we know."
