Playmobil Detectives: Island of the Spectres-16

In her fright, Tiffany scrambled up the stairs back into her room. On seeing Nadia sitting on the chaise longue with her back facing Tiffany, the latter sighed in relief.

"OMG, Nadia, thank god you're here!" exclaimed Tiffany. "You won't believe what happened to me in that wooden hut, there......"

Before Tiffany could finish her sentence, Nadia turned her head towards the door, revealing a pale white, clay face.

"AAAHHHHHH!" Tiffany screamed again as she fell backwards and landed on her bottom. "Nadia, what happened to your face?"

"Gosh, Tiffany, don't freak out," replied Nadia. "This is just the volcanic mud facial mask that Claire gave me. What were you going to tell me just now?"

After Tiffany has recovered from her shock, she recounted the entire sequence of events right from the moment she left the bedroom to that of her return.

"Wooden hut in the garden?" answered Nadia pensively, several minutes after Tiffany finished recounting the events. "But, the bathroom is upstairs, inside this castle. Are you sure Klaudia told you to go outside? Are you sure you didn't mishear it?"

After Nadia's questioning, Tiffany could not help but to start doubting herself. So, she just mumbled something unintelligible and resorted to sitting down in front of the vanity table, and started staring absentmindedly at her own reflection.

Gradually, Tiffany forgot about her frights and started her usual habit of admiring her own reflection in the mirror. Without warning, someone tapped her on the shoulder, causing her to jump up in fright again, as she didn't perceive any reflection except that of her own in the mirror. Dreading to see what was behind her, only after she turned around did Tiffany discover that it was only Klaudia.

"Hi! Sorry to scare you, I saw you staring at the mirror so I didn't want to disturb you, but Nadia wasn't in the room," said Klaudia in her usual sweet voice, different to the monotonic one Tiffany encountered in the drawing room. "I'm just bringing you a candle, as there are often power cuts at night here. So, in case you want to go to the bathroom at night, you can use this candle."
