After Tiffany fell unconscious again, Blythe explained the whole situation to everyone.
"So, I have to marry this girl Ahuey, who will be inside Tiffany's body? That's ridiculous.....and.....and outrageous!" exclaimed Jeffrey upon being informed of the shocking news.
"I'm afraid we have no other options," replied Blythe, shaking her head. "She is very obstinate and wouldn't negotiate any conditions with me."
"So, it looks like if we want to save Tiffany so that she won't lose possession of her body, we have to satisfy the demands of the evil spirit," concluded Shaun pensively, with his eyebrows stitched.
"When will the wedding take place?" enquired Claire.
"Unfortunately, she gave us a deadline," added Blythe. "Grandma was right, after seven days of being possessed, Tiffany will automatically lose possession of her body. So, we'll have to host the wedding before that happens."
"Wait a moment, I will fetch my Huang Li almanac to see which day is good for a wedding," said Grandma as she took out a book from the bookshelf. After flicking through the pages, she concluded. "Looks like tomorrow's a good day. The next lucky day for a wedding is 5 days from today, which won't work, as that would have passed the deadline."
"But...but I don't want to marry Tiffany!" exclaimed Jeffrey, still hasn't quite got over his shock.
"No buts, Jeff. If you wanna save Tiffany, this is the only way!" responded Eliza.
"Yeah, plus it's not even real, we just have to act out a wedding," said Shaun.
"Oh no!" exclaimed Claire. "I didn't bring any formal clothes!"
"OMG! Neither have I! Who'd have thought I'd be attending my cousin's wedding!" said Eliza. "What are we gonna do?"
"No worries guys," answered Blythe as she winked. "There's no better excuse than this to do some shopping! Let's hit up the mall this evening."
"OMG! Shopping in Xinyi District! Tiffany would of loved this, if only she could come with us," exclaimed Claire as she became very excited to go shopping in Taipei's premier financial and shopping district, which houses some of the most luxurious brands in the world. "What a shame she can't come!"
"You ladies can go shopping, us guys can just stay at home," said Jeffrey, who utterly dislikes shopping.
"Nuh-uh! Did you bring a suit?" asked Eliza, then on perceiving Jeffrey shaking his head, continued. "Then, you and Shaun had better come with us. Otherwise, don't tell me you're gonna wear jeans and a t-shirt to your own wedding!"
Thus, after dinner, the group of friends headed to Xinyi District, which has a total of 16 department stores, to do some evening shopping.
