Maid Marian and Robin were in the dark woods trying in vain to recognise some landmarks that could indicate to them where they were going, when suddenly......BANG!!! Robin bumped into a tree.
瑪莉安和羅賓正在黑暗的森林裏尋找任何地標可以告訴他們現在在哪個方位時，突然間～～碰！！的一聲，羅賓撞到了一棵樹！
"Are you alright?" Maid Marian inquired whilst trying to hold back her laughter.
「你沒事吧？」瑪莉安忍住不笑，問羅賓說。
"I think we had better get some dinner and take a rest, looks like the forest is too dark for us to proceed our quest any further. Tomorrow, we will hasten our pace in order to leave this forest, as we cannot afford another night in here." The intelligent Maid Marian suggested.
「我想我們還是吃點兒東西然後休息一下吧！看來這片森林晚上實在太黑了，我們根本無法繼續我們的歷險。明天我們再加緊腳步趕在天黑前離開這座森林，我們不能在這兒停留另一個晚上了！」聰明的瑪莉安提議道。
Then, Maid Marian caught a bird which had forgotten to return home before dark and bumped into a tree, just like Robin did; whilst Robin tried to set up a fire with some dry wood and stones.
然後，瑪莉安抓到了一隻因為忘記傍晚前要回家，也和羅賓一樣撞到了樹的鳥；羅賓則是試著使用一些枯木和石頭轉木取火。
Afterwards, they cooked the bird for dinner, took out some rum that they had been carrying all this way and cheered for hope of success in their quest, whilst chatting about past memories and were very merry.
他們把那隻鳥烤來吃，還喝著隨身帶著的啤酒～他們一邊乾杯祝這次的歷險成功，一邊聊著天，真是好悠哉呀！。
Having had enjoyed their pleasant dinner, they found a tree, made themselves comfortable and slept underneath it.
享用完了晚餐，他們便找了一棵樹，躺在下面準備睡覺。
Little did they know that all of their actions have been secretly observed by a bat.......
他們絲毫沒有察覺到，他們的一舉一動全被躲在暗處的一隻蝙蝠悄悄的監視著......
On the next morning, the sun shone brightly and the warm rays of sunshine shone through the small gaps of the trees onto Maid Marian's face. She woke up to a song sang by birds nearby.
隔天早晨，豔陽高掛，溫暖的陽光穿過樹葉，照在瑪莉安的臉上。她起床時，鳥兒還一邊唱著美妙的音樂。
"Wow! What a pleasant morning!" Maid Marian said out loud, "This is perfect for us to continue our expedition, right, Robin?"
「哇！多麼美麗的早晨呀！」瑪莉安說。「真是適合繼續我們的歷險呢！對吧，羅賓？」
Only then, did she notice that Robin was not next to her.
這時，她赫然發現羅賓並不在她身邊！
"He probably has gone to prepare breakfast!" Maid Marian thought to herself, "I'd better get dressed and go and help him!"
「他大概是起來準備早餐了吧！」瑪莉安心想。「那我也得趕緊起床去幫忙了。」
However, after Maid Marian has searched for Robin everywhere, she concluded that he was nowhere to be found.
可是，當瑪莉安四處尋找羅賓後，才發現他已經不見蹤影了。
"He couldn't have gone far, as he has left all his belongings behind." The smart girl concluded, "Either that he just went to examine the surroundings or........"
「他不可能走遠的呀！他把所有的東西都留在這兒了呢！」機靈的瑪莉安推測道。「他若不是先去觀察四周了的話，就是.....」
Just then, she noticed a small, folded piece of paper on the spot where Robin went to sleep the previous night.
這時，她發現一張紙條在前一天晚上羅賓躺的位子。
When she opened the piece of paper and read it, her face suddenly turned as pale as a ghost.
當瑪莉安打開紙條、讀完內容後，她的臉色頓時變得十分慘白。
What is written on that paper to make the usually calm Marian so agitated? And where exactly did Robin go?
紙條上到底寫了什麼讓平時鎮定地瑪莉安都慌了呢？羅賓又究竟在哪裡呢？
