「咱們去艦橋調查一下，説不定那兒有留下什麼線索，」孝恩提議道。

「你説得對，」布萊點點頭説。「那裡是最有可能留下有關船長訊息的地方。」

然而，抵達艦橋後，他們很失望地發現那裡空無一無～不是在船難時被一掃而空，就是被前來裝潢的人員統統淨空了。突然，布萊用餘光瞄到了一個黑影。但當她轉頭一望時，黑影就立刻消失地無影無蹤了。

「你也看到了嗎？」孝恩小聲地説。布萊不發一與，只是臉色慘白、若有所思地點了點頭。

"Let's go and investigate the bridge of the ship, where the steering wheel is situated," suggested Shaun after their investigation near the fake canons were over. "There doesn't seem to be anything here that's worth a closer examination." 

"Yeah, you're right," agreed Blythe. "If we're lucky, we might just be able to acquire some information about the late captain of this ship there." 

On arrival inside the bridge, they were quite disappointed to discover that the place was completely empty, whether due to the shipwreck or simply wiped away by the decorations crew in oder to refurnish the interior. 

Without warning, Blythe caught a distinctive shadow out of the corner of her eye. She immediately turned around, just in time to catch a faint glimpse of the shadow disappearing into the corridor. 

"Did you see that, too?" whispered Shaun in Mandarin, not wishing to let whoever or whatever it was to understand him and realise that it had been discovered. Blythe only nodded gently, her face was unusually pale and her expression was pensive but alert.

從羅爵先生那兒拿到油燈後，大夥兒便紛紛上船，準備開始勘查。

「大家要小心，這裡有一個縫⋯⋯」傑佛瑞還來不及説完，蒂芬尼就被樓梯間的縫隙絆倒，當場跌了個狗吃屎。

After taking the oil lamp from Mr Rogers, the group alighted the ship using the stairs by the side. 

"Careful, guys, there's a huge ga....." Before Jeffrey could finish his sentence, Tiffany had tripped on the gap between the stairs and the deck, falling face-forward for the second time that day.

歷經數小時的車程，大夥兒終於抵達了目的地。下車後，大家紛紛向公車司機道謝，除了蒂芬尼以外，她對司機扮了個鬼臉。

當他們的踏上柔軟的草地時，映入眼簾的是英國鄉村的風光。綠意盎然的草地被些許的樹點綴著。在遙遠的地平線，溫暖的太陽正漸漸地消失中。

「哇！這裡好美呀！彷彿置身仙境一般！」布萊不禁讚歎道。當公車緩緩開走後，大夥兒頓時感到一陣寂靜。

After several hours, the group of friends finally arrived at their destination. Hopping off the bus one by one, they all thanked the driver, except for Tiffany, who stuck out her tongue and made a face. 

As their feet touched the lush, green carpet of grass, what came into view was the majestically picturesque scenery of the Shropshire countryside, where, dotted here and there, trees scattered all across the landscape. In the faraway horizon, the amber sun was slowly sinking.

"Wow! This feels like a wonderland!" admired Blythe. Only when the bus gradually drove away were they suddenly engulfed by a suffocating sensation of solitude.

傑佛瑞看見布萊被無視，正要見義勇爲，跳出來幫布萊説話時，蒂芬尼突然間説：「小傑，我的敞篷超跑還坐得下另一個人。不如，你坐我的車，我載你一程。不要理他們兩個！走吧～」蒂芬尼説畢便挽著還來不及反應過來的傑佛瑞的手，將他拉向停車場的方向。

「什麼？等一下！這怎麼行呢？」傑佛瑞甩開蒂芬尼的手説。「我怎麼可以這麼没有江湖道義，抛棄朋友呢！除非妳的敞篷車坐得下四個人，否則，我是不可能跟妳走的。妳就自己開車去吧！」

「我想，蒂芬尼姊姊現在應該没辦法開車去囉！」布萊突然緩緩地説。

「妳説什麼？妳這什麼意思？」蒂芬尼用著懷疑的語氣問道。

「妳若不信，妳自己去看看吧！」布萊聳聳肩，並笑著説。蒂芬尼怒氣沖沖地走向她的超跑後纔赫然發現布萊説的果眞没錯～一群鴿子似乎以爲跑車是『廁所』，於是在車子的椅子上留下了一堆『禮物』送給蒂芬尼。

正當蒂芬尼準備尖叫時，孝恩指著迎面而來的公車説：「公車來了！大夥兒，動作快點兒！蒂芬尼，没時間整理了，下一班車可是一小時後呢！」

Just when Jeffrey was about to comment on Tiffany’s rude behaviour, Tiffany suddenly spoke. "Jeffie, my convertible can fit another person, I'll take you there and leave them to take the bus. C'mon, you'll love the ride!" Tiffany grabbed Jeffrey's hand before he had the time to reflect upon this proposal. 

"What? Wait, no!" responded Jeffrey as he struggled free from Tiffany's grasp. "We can't just ditch our friends here! Unless your convertible can fit four people, I won't go with you. You can drive there yourself." 

"I'm afraid Tiffany won't be able to drive there herself either," said Blythe slowly.

"What? Why? What do you mean?" demanded Tiffany with suspicion. 

"If you don't believe me, you can go and check it out for yourself," replied Blythe, trying not to laugh whilst she shrugged. Tiffany stomped towards her convertible only to discover that Blythe was right. Apparently, a group of pigeons thought Tiffany's convertible looked a lot like the loo and have decided to 'release their waste' all over the seats. 

Just when Tiffany was about to cry out in frustration, Shaun pointed at a bus and exclaimed, "Look! The bus is here! Hurry up, guys. No time to clean up, Tiffany. The next bus is one hour later."

「布萊，這位是傑佛瑞・多諾溫，我的大學（不同系的）同學；阿傑，這是李布萊，我來自臺灣的表妹。」孝恩介紹雙方認識。

「你是孝恩哥的同學～那我就稱呼你爲小傑哥哥好了！很高興認識你！」布萊説。

「我終於見到妳了！」傑佛瑞興奮地和布萊握手説。「聽到 Claire 説妳是『天才美少女』後，我就迫不及待地想認識妳了！」

「大家這麼叫我眞的是過獎了！」充滿自信的布萊用著既流利又標準的英文答道。「我其實没有大家想像的這麼完美。」

「聽説妳來自臺灣，是嗎？」傑佛瑞繼續説。「那妳的英文怎麼這麼好啊？難道臺灣人的英文都説得像妳一樣這麼流利？」

「謝謝讚美！老實説，臺灣人的英文程度的確在亞洲是很好的。」布萊答道。「但我算是例外，因爲我就讀的是國際學校，不是普通高中。」

「妳是來英國參加大學面試的，對吧？」傑佛瑞問道。「如果妳不介意的話，可以告訴我妳是申請哪所大學、讀什麼系嗎？」

「我希望下個學年度能在摩比大學就讀物理哲學系。」布萊回答説。

“Blythe, this is Jeffrey Donovan, my friend from university; and Jeff, this is Blythe Lee, my cousin from Taiwan,” introduced Shaun whilst Jeffrey and Blythe shook hands.

“I’ve finally met you!” exclaimed Jeffrey joyfully after the handshake. “After hearing Claire say that you're the ‘pretty genius’ of your school, I simply couldn’t wait to meet you!”

“Oh, I’m sure that’s too much of an exaggeration of which I’m unworthy,” replied Blythe with perfect English and a sense of self-confidence quite uncommon in girls of her age.

“I’ve heard that you’re from Taiwan!” continued Jeffrey, “I’m quite surprised that your English is so good! Are all Taiwanese people as fluent as you in English?”

“Thanks for the compliment. Well, I wouldn’t be honest if I said that all Taiwanese people are as fluent in English as me, as I study in an international school, which requires a different level of English compared to ordinary schools,” responded Blythe. “However, Taiwanese people do indeed have one of the highest average English proficiencies in Asia.”

“You’re here in England for an interview, aren't you?” enquired Jeffrey. “If you don’t mind me asking, which subject and which university are you applying for?”

“Of course!” answered Blythe. “I’m hoping to study Physics with Philosophy at Playmobil University.”

“Oh wow! That’s the university me and Shaun graduated from!” exclaimed Jeffrey as he nudged his friend, “And physics, too – that’s the same as Shaun, though he’s Physics with Astrology.”

“Um, actually, it’s Astronomy,” corrected Shaun.

“Whatever! There’s no difference anyway.....at least for me!” said Jeffrey, shrugging his shoulders. “Both equally difficult, and both something that I, for one, wouldn’t want to study.”

As the group of friends laughed, Jeffrey suddenly glanced at his watch and complained. “Jeez, where’s Tiffany? She’s late again! Can she ever be on time for anything?”

“There she is!” exclaimed Shaun as he pointed at the parking lot.

 Blythe and Jeffrey turned around to discover Tiffany parking her expensive yellow convertible in the car park. “Who drives her convertible to a bus stop to wait for a bus?” commented Jeffrey as he shook his head in bewilderment.



When Tiffany arrived, Shaun introduced his cousin and Tiffany to each other. “Blythe, this is Tiffany – Claire’s ex-high-school classmate; and erm, Tiffany, this is my Taiwanese cousin - Blythe Lee.”

The moment Tiffany set eyes on Blythe, she immediately categorised the latter to be someone that could ‘potentially seduce her Jeffie’, thus starting to regard her with malice. She gave Blythe a sideways glanced and pretended not to see the latter’s extended hand whilst brushing back her hair.

那天下午，Claire 和 Eliza 順利地説服了老闆讓她們提早下班，並在4點一刻抵達了咖啡廳。她們進去後纔發現原來蒂芬尼把整間咖啡廳都包了下來，所以裏面只擺了一張桌子。蒂芬尼、傑佛瑞以及孝恩都已經到了。

「快點兒～別慢吞吞的！」蒂芬尼看見了 Claire 和 Eliza 後不耐煩地説。「大家都在等著呢！哼～竟敢讓我親愛的小傑等妳們倆！」

她們坐下後纔發現桌上已經擺滿了各式各樣的英式下午茶點心，不僅有英式紅茶、巧克力餅乾，甚至還有五顏六色的馬卡龍。

That afternoon, Claire and Eliza managed to persuade their boss to let them off for the rest of the day and arrived at quarter past four at the café. They entered only to discover that Tiffany has 'reserved the entire café', and the only table was in the middle of the room, where Tiffany, Shaun and Jeffrey sat. 

"Chop-chop, slow pokes!" exclaimed Tiffany impatiently after she perceived Claire and Eliza. "Everyone's waiting for you! How dare you keep ma Jeffie waiting!"

As they approached, Claire and Eliza discovered that the table was already full of desserts, set up for a traditional English afternoon tea, with savory chocolate biscuits and colourful macarons.

"Qu'est-ce que vous voulez? Se perdre d'ici!" hurla Kradula.

Bosko essaya de les frapper, mais tout était en vain, car ils étaient trop nombreux.

Without warning, the ghost, which had helped them, glided into the dungeon through the stone wall, then followed by another, and another. Soon, the vampire couple were surrounded by ghosts. In fact, these ghosts were that of the people of whom the evil couple had drunk the blood. 

"What do you want? Get lost from here!" howled Kradula. 

Bosko tried to flick them away, but all was in vain, as there were just too many of them.

「我知道了，我知道了！」蒂芬尼突然興奮地說。「可拉杜拉公主和御用馬伕的兒子～波斯可從小就是青梅竹馬；可是，可拉杜拉的爸爸，也就是國王不答應他們兩人結婚。於是，可拉杜拉被迫嫁給了又醜又肥的鄰國老國王，好促進兩國的關係。波斯可也被禁止離開自己的國家去拜訪可洛迪雅，因爲國王深怕兩人會去私奔。然而，逐日漸進，可拉杜拉公主的相思病愈來愈嚴重，直到她已没剩幾天能活了。波斯可聽到了這個悲慘的消息後，不惜被砍頭的代價偷偷去看可洛迪雅。但是，一切都太遲了；當波斯可趕到時，可拉杜拉公主已經臥病在床、奄奄一息了。雖然可拉杜拉看到了愛人滿心歡喜，然而，她病入膏肓，此刻也已無力乏天。可拉杜拉用了她最後一口氣與波斯可一起向蝙蝠女神祈禱，並許下誓言要永生永世的在一起；誓言纔說畢，可拉杜拉公主就安詳地死在愛人的懷裏。就在此刻，波斯可被城堡警衞發現，被抓了起來；當天就以闖入王后房間爲由，被處以極刑。可拉杜拉的丈夫（也就是又醜又肥的老國王）因爲同情兩人，決定大發慈悲，將兩人安葬在一起；也在隔天娶了另一個國家的年輕、漂亮的公主。蝙蝠女神聽到了他們的禱告，將其起死回生，變成了吸血鬼，讓他們永生永世都不會再被分離了⋯⋯」蒂芬尼說完故事後，深深地吸了一口氣，並看了看四周，等待大家給予熱烈的掌聲。

"Mon dieu!" Soudainement, Tiffany s’exclama avec enthousiasme. "Je sais! Je sais! La princesse Kradula et Bosko, le garçon d'écurie, étaient des amants, mais la princesse Kradula était interdit d'épouser Bosko par son père, le roi. Plutôt, la princesse Kradula a été obligé d’épouser contre son gré un roi gros, laid et vieux du pays voisin afin de renforcer le lien politique entre les deux pays. Bosko a été également interdit de quitter le pays pour rendre visite à sa petite amie car le roi craignait qu’ils s’enfuient ensemble. Ensuite, la princesse Kradula est devenue malade à cause de son amoureuse, au point qu’elle ne restait que quelques jours pour vivre dans ce monde triste. Après que Bosko eut appris la nouvelle tragique, il risquait d'être puni pour avoir enfreint la loi, il a quitté son pays et s'est rend à Kradula. Mais quand il est finalement arrivé au lit de mort de la princesse Kradula, elle était déjà trop malade pour récupérer, alors, utilisant son dernier souffle, Kradula et Bosko ont prié la Déesse Chauve-souris et ont juré d'être ensemble pour l'éternité, après quoi elle est morte dans les mains de son amant. À ce moment-là, Bosko a été attrapé par la garde du roi et a été pendu le même jour pour se glisser dans la chambre de la reine Kradula. Le mari de la princesse Kradula (le gros roi), qui ne l'avait jamais aimée, a décidé, avec pitié des deux amants, de les enterrer ensemble et, le lendemain, a épousé une autre jeune et jolie princesse d'un autre pays. La Déesse Bat a entendu le souhait des deux amants et les a ressuscités en les transformant en vampires immortels, afin qu'ils puissent enfin être ensemble pour toujours ........ ."

"OMG!" Suddenly, Tiffany exclaimed in excitement. "I know! I know! Princess Kradula and Bosko the stable boy were childhood sweethearts but Princess Kradula was forbidden to marry Bosko by her father, the King. Afterwards, Princess Kradula was forced to marry a fat, ugly and old king of the neighbouring country against her will in order to enhance the political tie between the two countries. Bosko was also forbidden to leave the country to visit his sweetheart as the King feared they'd run away together. Then, Princess Kradula gradually grew ill due to her lovesickness, to the point that she only had a few days left to live in this sad world. After Bosko heard about the tragic news, he risked getting punished for breaking the law to escape the country and visit Kradula. But it was all too late, as he eventually arrived at Princess Kradula's deathbed. Kradula was delighted to see her sweetheart but was, by that point, too ill to recover. So, using her last breath, Kradula and Bosko prayed to the Bat Goddess and swore to be together for eternity, after which she died in the hands of her lover. At that moment, Bosko was caught by the king's guard and was hanged on the same day for sneaking into Kradula's room. Princess Kradula's husband (the fat king), who had never loved her, decided, in pity of the two lovers, to bury them together, and on the next day, married another young and pretty princess from another country. The Bat Goddess heard the wish of the two lovers and resurrected them by turning them into immortal vampires, so they can finally be together forever......." Tiffany inhaled a deep breath after finishing her story and glanced at everyone for approval.

「等等⋯⋯你是誰啊？」蒂芬尼問道。

可洛迪雅没有答覆，只是拿起了先前蒂芬尼掉的布娃娃，並揮舞了一下。頓時，大家感到一陣暈眩，整間房間都在猛力地旋轉。他們聽到了可洛迪雅邪惡的笑聲後就不省人事了。

Sans avertissement, un inconnu encore plus grand que Klaudia entra dans la pièce.

"Attend une seconde, qui es-tu?" interrogea Tiffany.

En guise de réponse, Klaudia prit la poupée que Tiffany laissa tomber à la porte et la tendit devant elle. Immédiatement, tout le monde sentit un vertige soudain les surmonter, la pièce commença à tourbillonner violemment et ils perdirent toute conscience juste après avoir perçu le rire assourdissant de Klaudia.

Without warning, an unknown man who was even taller than Klaudia entered the room. 

"Wait a sec, who're you?" questioned Tiffany. 

As an answer, Klaudia picked up the doll which Tiffany dropped by the doorway and held it out in front of her. Immediately, everyone felt a sudden dizziness overcoming them, the room began to swirl violently, and they lost all consciousness just after they perceived the deafening cackle of Klaudia.

「如果小傑不在這兒，他又會在哪兒？」蒂芬尼問道。

突然，鬼魂先生又出現在門口，招著手，要他們跟著他。出了門口，大夥兒只見他飄下樓梯後就消失了。「我都不知道這座城堡還有地下室呢！」娜迪雅走下樓時說。

「快點兒，別慢吞吞的！咱們得趕緊去救我的小傑！」蒂芬尼邊叫著邊領著下樓的路，全程她一直緊握著長得像小傑的布娃娃在手裏。

"Si Jeffie n'est pas là, où peut-il être?" demanda Tiffany.

Soudainement, la silhouette mystérieuse du fantôme apparut de nouveau à l'entrée, après quoi le groupe suivit immédiatement. Ensuite, il disparut dans un escalier menant au rez-de-chaussée.

"Je ne savais pas qu'il y avait un sous-sol dans ce château," remarqua Nadia alors qu'ils descendaient les escaliers.

"Dépêchez-vous, nous devons sauver mon Jeffie!" cria Tiffany en menant en bas, tout en tenant la poupée qui ressemblait à Jeffrey dans sa main, le bras tendu devant elle.

"If Jeffie isn't here, where can he be?" enquired Tiffany. 

Suddenly, the mysterious figure of the ghost appeared again at the entrance, after which the group immediately followed. Then, it disappeared down a flight of staircase leading downstairs. 

"I didn't know there was a basement in this castle," remarked Nadia as she hurried down the stairs. 

"Hurry up, slow pokes. We've gotta save ma Jeffie!" shouted Tiffany as she led the way downstairs, all this while holding the doll that resembled Jeffrey tightly in her hand, with her arm extended in front of her.

「總而言之，咱們得儘快找到可洛迪雅的房間。」孝恩衝出會客室，兩名女士則跟在後頭。然而，曲折的走廊彷彿迷宮似的，不久後，他們三人都迷了路，在原地打轉兒。

「這八成也是她的妖術！」孝恩若有所思地說。「她把這裡設下了結界，讓我們離不開。」

突然，孝恩先前遇見的鬼魂先生出現在走廊的另一端，並和孝恩招手。「啊！有鬼啊！」蒂芬尼尖叫道。

「別怕，他是好人⋯⋯我是說⋯⋯好鬼！」孝恩說。「就是他帶領我發現眞相的。我想他應該不會害人，咱們跟著他吧！」

"De toute façon, nous devons trouver la chambre de Klaudia le plus tôt possible", conclut Shaun en se précipitant hors du salon dans le couloir, suivi par les filles. Cependant, les couloirs et les passages étaient tellement sinueux que, peu importe leurs efforts, ils se sont retrouvés au même endroit qu'ils commencèrent.

"Je parie que c'est une de ses astuces aussi!" déclara Shaun pensivement. "Elle a mis cet endroit sous un charme pour que nous ne puissions pas partir d'ici."

Sans avertissement, le fantôme dont le conscient Shaun était entré est apparu de l'autre côté du couloir et leur fit un signe de le suivre. "Ahhhhh! Un fantôme!" Tiffany cria.

"Ne t'inquiète pas, il a dû être un bon fantôme", déclara Shaun. "C'est lui qui m'a amené à trouver les indices prouvant que Klaudia est un vampire. Je pense qu'il ne signifie aucun mal, nous devrions le suivre."

"Anyhow, we have to find Klaudia's room as soon as possible," concluded Shaun as he dashed out of the drawing room into the corridor, followed by the girls. However, the corridors and passageways were so winding like a labyrinth that, no matter how hard they tried, they ended up in the same place they've started. 

"I'll bet this is one of her tricks, too!" declared Shaun pensively. "She's put this place under a spell so we won't be able to leave here."

Without warning, the ghost whose conscious Shaun had entered appeared on the other side of the corridor and motioned them to follow him. "Ahhhhh! A ghost!" Tiffany screamed. 

"Don't worry, he's supposed to be a good guy," said Shaun. "He was the one that led me to find the hints proving that Klaudia's a vampire. I think he means no harm, we should follow it."

這時，娜迪雅正和蒂芬尼在會客室裏聊天，或者可以説是兩人正以最平靜、不吵架的方式説話，其實根本談不上聊天。「我的老天鵝啊，爲什麼昨晚睡了超過12小時今天還是這麼累啊？」蒂芬尼躺在維多利亞藍沙發上、一邊打著呵欠說。

「老實説，我也是。感覺起來好像整晚都没睡。」娜迪雅難得贊同蒂芬尼的話。「我一直在做奇怪的夢。」

「我等一下要再回去睡回籠覺了。不過，今天我要先洗澡喔！」蒂芬尼宣布道。「這次我決不再去那間小木屋了！」

「誰叫妳自己要去的？」娜迪雅說。

「我就跟你說過是可洛迪雅告訴我的嘛！」蒂芬尼答道。

「那你爲什麼不上來問我？」娜迪雅問道。

「我本來是要上去的，但誰曉得那瘋婆子會突然出現！」蒂芬尼說。「眞是的，有時她眞的會讓我全身起雞皮疙瘩。她在小傑面前就臉上掛著她那虛僞的笑容 ～我是不會讓她這種狐狸精把我的小傑搶走的！」

正當娜迪雅要反駁時，她看見孝恩臉色蒼白、慌慌張張地跑進會客室，手上還拿著一本金色的書。「如果你要救你的小傑，你最好趕快了。因爲他人現在已經在可洛迪雅的房間裏了。」孝恩一路從房間跑來，上氣不接下氣地說。

「什麼？」蒂芬尼驚叫道。「她⋯⋯那隻狐狸精也未免太急了吧！」

Pendant ce temps, dans le salon, Nadia et Tiffany se tchatchaient.

"Mon dieu, pourquoi suis-je toujours aussi fatiguée malgré avoir dormi plus de 12 heures?" bâillait Tiffany en s'allongeant sur la chaise longue victorien.

"Moi aussi. J'avais l'impression de ne pas avoir dormi du tout", acquiesça Nadia. "J'ai continué à avoir des rêves aléatoires qui n'ont aucun sens."

"J'vais bientôt me coucher et cette fois, je prends une douche en premier!" déclara Tiffany. "J'vais pas aller dans cette hutte hantée encore."

"Eh bien, qui t'a dit d'aller dans cette cabane en premier lieu?" demanda Nadia.

"Je t'l'ai déjà dit, c'était Klaudia!" répondit Tiffany.

"Bien, pourquoi n'es-tu pas venu me demander?" interrogea Nadia.

"J'allais, mais cette folle est sortie de nulle part!" dit Tiffany. "Mon dieu, elle me donne parfois la chair de poule. Elle ne met que son faux sourire devant Jeffie. Je le jure, elle est désespérée pour lui. Mais je ne la laisserai pas avoir ma Jeffie."

Juste au moment où Nadia était sur le point de défendre Klaudia, elle aperçut Shaun qui se précipita dans la pièce avec un visage extrêmement pâle, tout en tenant un livre d'or entre ses mains. "Eh bien, si tu veux sauver ton Jeffie, tu ferais mieux d'être rapide, car Jeffrey est déjà dans la chambre de Klaudia", déclara Shaun, essoufflé de courir tout le long de l'escalier.

"Quoi!" cria Tiffany. "J'savais pas qu'elle était si désespérée!"

Meanwhile, in the drawing room, Nadia and Tiffany were chatting, or as close to chatting as the two could possibly go without Tiffany starting an argument. 

"OMG, why am I still so tired despite having slept for more than 12 hours?" yawned Tiffany as she lay on the blue Victorian coach. 

"To be frank, I'm tired, too. It felt like I haven't been sleeping at all," acquiesced Nadia. "I kept having random dreams that don't make any sense." 

"Imma head to bed soon, and I'm taking a shower first, this time!" declared Tiffany. "I ain't gonna go to that haunted hut again." 

"Well, who told you to go to that hut in the first place?" enquired Nadia. 

"I told you, it was Klaudia!" replied Tiffany. 

"Well, why didn't you come up and ask me?" queried Nadia. 

"I was gonna, but that crazy woman just appeared out of nowhere!" said Tiffany. "Jeez, she gives me the creeps sometimes. She only puts on that fake smile of hers in front of Jeffie. I swear, she's desperate for him. But I won't let her get ma Jeffie."

Just when Nadia was about to defend Klaudia, she perceived Shaun rushing into the room with an extremely pale face, whilst holding a golden book in his hands. "Well, if you want to save your Jeffie, you'd better be quick, cos Jeffrey is already in her room," said Shaun, breathless from running all the way down the staircase. 

"WTF!" screamed Tiffany. "I didn't know she was that desperate!"

用完晚餐後，傑佛瑞回到房間拿手電筒，想說去修可洛迪雅房間的暖氣可能會用到。傑佛瑞在抽屜裏找手電筒時，孝恩問道：「要我跟你一塊兒去嗎？」

「不必了，我自己會處理的。」傑佛瑞心不在焉的答道。

「嗯，阿傑⋯⋯有件事，不知是否該同你說。」孝恩緩緩地說。

「說來聽聽吧！但別講太久，可洛迪雅在等著呢！」傑佛瑞找到手電筒後回答道。

「昨晚，你睡着後，我在窗戶邊遇見了一個鬼魂向我揮手。」孝恩慢慢地說。「當我走過去時，我就感到一陣暈眩，隨後便進到了一個夢境般的地方，彷彿我進到了鬼魂的記憶裏。我看見鬼魂先生生前也曾受邀來到這座城堡，然後⋯⋯」

「然後怎樣？講重點、講重點！」傑佛瑞不耐煩地說。

「好啦！他來的第一天晚上就被殺了。」孝恩看著傑佛瑞疑惑的表情繼續說：「他被⋯⋯可洛迪雅殺了。可洛迪雅似乎是吸血鬼，她把那個先生的血都吸乾了。」

「停！」傑佛瑞大喊道。「你我告訴我這些幹嘛？這只不過是個夢而已！這種天馬行空的夢怎們可能和可洛迪雅有任何關聯？可洛迪雅是個那麼溫柔的女孩子，怎麼想也不可能會是吸血鬼。好吧，可能是電影裏演的那種性感破表的吸血鬼，但是，那種東西又怎麼可能眞的存在呢？」

「我是說⋯⋯我也不能確定我所看見的是事實。但是，你可以自己問問我昨晚看見的鬼魂先生；事實上，他就站在你身後。」孝恩說畢便指著傑佛瑞身後的鬼影。然而，當傑佛瑞還沒來得及回頭看時，鬼魂就消失了。

傑佛瑞回頭一望卻什麼也沒瞧見後，突然轉身，狠狠地揍了孝恩一拳，把其眼鏡都給揍飛了，所幸掉在牀上，沒有壞掉。「你説夠了没？」傑佛瑞大聲嚷嚷道。「我早已看透你的詭計了！你分明就是忌妒可洛迪雅喜歡我，所以纔會製造這些謠言來毀謗她。我不會讓你阻止我去她房間的！」暴怒完畢後，傑佛瑞面紅而赤地走出房間，留下孝恩呆呆地站在原地。

Après le dîner, Jeffrey retourna dans leur chambre pour prendre leur lampe de poche, au cas où il en aurait besoin pour réparer le radiateur dans la chambre de Nadia. Alors que Jeffrey cherchait dans les tiroirs, Shaun s’enquit. "Tu veux que j'y ailles avec toi?"

"Non, c'est bien, j'peux m'débrouiller tout seul", répondit Jeffrey distraitement.

"Euh, Jeff, j'ai quelque chose que je ne suis pas sûr si je devrais te le dire ou pas," dit Shaun, un peu à contrecœur.

"Vas-y, mais ne tarde pas, Klaudia attend", répondit Jeffrey, qui trouva déjà ce qu'il cherchait.

"Hier, après tu es endormi, j'ai rencontré un fantôme près de notre fenêtre, qui m'a fait signe de m'avancer", raconta Shaun lentement. "Puis, quand je me suis approché, je suis devenu très étourdi et je suis entré dans un monde de rêve, probablement le conscient du fantôme. Apparemment, quand le fantôme était encore en vie, il était également invité à cet endroit et ... . "

"Et quoi? Arrive au point!" interrompit Jeffrey avec impatience.

"Bien! Alors ... beaucoup de choses se sont passées et à la fin de la première nuit, il a été tué." Shaun s'arrêta là en apercevant le regard interrogateur de Jeffrey, puis il continua. "Il a été tué par ........ Klaudia, qui est apparemment une vampire. Elle a sucé tout son sang et ......."

"Ok, arrête!" cria Jeffrey. "Pourquoi est-ce que tu me dis ça? C'est juste un rêve! Comment peut-il y avoir une relation entre ce rêve stupide et la réalité, dans laquelle Klaudia est une fille si douce que je suis incapable de l'imaginer d'être une vampire. Ok, peut-être un sexy vampire comme dans les films ou quelque chose, qui n'existe pas dans la vraie vie. "

"Ouais, je veux dire ... je ne suis pas sûr de la fiabilité de cela non plus. Mais tu peux demander au fantôme que j'ai vu la nuit dernière, en fait, il est juste derrière toi", répondit Shaun en pointant à la silhouette fantomatique debout derrière Jeffrey. Néanmoins, le fantôme disparut dans les airs au moment où Jeffrey se retourna.

Sans prévenir, Jeffrey se retourna vers Shaun et le frappa directement au visage, faisant voler ses lunettes à travers la pièce, qui heureusement atterrirent sur son lit. "Assez de tes mensonges pathétiques!" hurla Jeffrey au sommet de sa voix. "T'es juste jaloux des sentiments de Klaudia envers moi, donc tu continues à dire des choses horribles d'elle, et maintenant je ne te laisserai pas m'empêcher d'aller dans sa chambre." Après cette explosion, Jeffrey est sorti en courant, laissant Shaun debout, stupéfait.

After dinner, Jeffrey returned to their room to get their flashlight, in case he would need it to fix the heater in Nadia's room. As Jeffrey was searching in the drawers, Shaun enquired. "Shall I go with you?" 

"Nah, I can manage on my own," responded Jeffrey absentmindedly. 

"Erm, Jeff, I have something that I'm not sure if I should tell you or not," said Shaun, a bit reluctantly. 

"Go ahead, but don't take too long, Klaudia's waiting," answered Jeffrey, who, by then, has already found what he was looking for. 

"Yesterday, after you fell asleep, I've encountered a ghost by our window, which motioned for me to come forward," recounted Shaun slowly. "Then, when I did walk closer, I became very dizzy and entered into a dream-like world, probably the conscious of the ghost. Apparently, when the ghost was still alive, he was also invited to this place and....." 

"And what? Get to the point!" interrupted Jeffrey impatiently. 

"Fine! So..... many things happened, and at the end of the first night, he was killed," Shaun stopped there as he perceived Jeffrey's questioning look, then he continued. "He was killed by........Klaudia, who is apparently a vampire. She sucked all his blood dry and......."

"Ok, stop!" shouted Jeffrey. "Why are you telling me this? That's just a dream! How can there possibly be a relation between this stupid dream and reality, in which Klaudia is such a sweet girl that I'm incapable of imagining her to be any sort of vampire. Ok, maybe a sexy one like in the movies or something, which doesn't exist in real life." 

"Yeah, I mean..... I'm not sure about the reliability of this either. But you can ask the ghost whom I saw last night, in fact, it's standing right behind you now," replied Shaun as he pointed to the ghostly figure standing behind Jeffrey. Nevertheless, the ghost vanished into thin air the moment Jeffrey turned around.

大夥兒從小木屋回來後就一直昏睡到隔天的傍晚。他們在同一個時間醒來，並一起走到宴會廳後纔發現長長的宴會桌上早已擺滿了各式各樣的美味佳餚。可洛迪雅坐在桌子的一端等著他們；只有幾根蠟燭照亮著整間宴會廳。「大家快請坐吧！晚餐已經爲大家準備好了。」可洛迪雅用著清脆的聲音說。「大家都還睡得好嗎？我想昨天舟車勞頓的，大家一定是累壞了，所以都不敢去打擾各位。」

「如果妳非要問不可的話，我的答案是：哼～才怪！」蒂芬尼手插著腰回答道。「第一，枕頭太軟了，有用和沒用一樣。再來是牀墊太硬了，根本和睡在地上沒兩樣嘛！還有，我都不想去提那個棉被了～妳到底有沒有洗過啊？我感覺我和成千上萬的塵蟎一起睡覺～亂噁心的！」

「哇嗚～可洛迪雅，謝謝妳爲我們準備了一桌這麼豐盛的晚餐！」傑佛瑞試圖轉移話題說。「其實，你不需要特別爲我們準備的，我們很隨和的～有什麼就吃什麼。」

「我纔不是爲了你們呢！」可洛迪雅突然用著冷漠的語氣答道；後來，驚覺到自己似乎說錯話了，便面帶微笑地說：「我是説⋯⋯我平時也是吃這樣的，並没有爲了你們準備的特別豐盛。因爲，對我而言，晚膳乃一日中最重要的一餐。」

C'était jusqu'au lendemain soir que tout le monde se réveilla en même temps d'une nuit de sommeil agitée. Ils entrèrent dans la grande salle à manger pour s'apercevoir que la longue table de banquet située au milieu de la pièce était déjà remplie de friandises de toutes sortes, avec Klaudia qui les attendait. La pièce n'était que faiblement éclairée avec quelques bougies sur la table.

"S'il vous plaît, asseyez-vous tout le monde! Le dîner est servi," dit Klaudia d'une voix claire. "J'espère que vous avez tous bien dormi. Je sais que tout le monde a dû être épuisé par le voyage d'hier, alors je ne vous ai pas dérangé."

"Eh bien, si tu demandes, la réponse est non, je n'ai pas bien dormi la nuit dernière!" répondit Tiffany en croisant les bras. "Tout d’abord, les oreillers sont trop mous, on a l’impression de ne pas dormir sur un, puis le matelas est trop dur, c’est comme dormir par terre, sans parler de la couette. Je veux dire ... quand est-ce que tu l'as lavé pour la dernière fois? J'ai l'impression de dormir avec des millions d'acariens. Beurk!"

"Wow! Quelle grande fête que vous nous avez préparée, Klaudia!" admirait Jeffrey en s'asseyant pour changer de sujet de conversation. "Vraiment, vous n'avez pas besoin de faire cela spécialement pour nous."

"Bien sûr c'est pas pour vous!" répliqua Klaudia d'un ton glacial. Cependant, elle continua avec un doux sourire. "Je veux dire que c'est ce que je mange normalement pour le dîner de toute façon. Pour moi, le dîner est le repas le plus important de la journée."

It wasn't until the following evening that everyone woke up at the same time from a restless night of sleep. They entered the grand dining hall only to perceive that the long banquet table situated in the middle of the room was already full of delicacies of all sorts, with Klaudia sitting at one end, waiting for them. The room was only dimly illuminated with a few candles on the table.

"Pray, have a seat everyone! Dinner is being served," said Klaudia with a clear voice. "I hope you've all had a comfortable sleep. I know everyone must've been exhausted from yesterday's journey, so I did not disturb you." 

"Well, if you're asking, the answer is no, I did not sleep well at all last night!" responded Tiffany, crossing her arms. "First of all, the pillows are too soft, it feels like you're not sleeping on one; then, the mattress is too hard, it's like sleeping on the ground; and not to mention the duvet. I mean....when was the last time you've washed it? I feel like I was sleeping with millions of dust mites. Yuck!" 

"Wow! What a grand feast you've prepared for us, Klaudia!" admired Jeffrey whilst sitting down, in order to change the topic of conversation. "Really, you don't need to do this especially for us." 

"Of course it's not for you!" replied Klaudia in an icy tone, however, she soon checked herself and continued with a sweet smile. "I mean, that's what I normally eat for dinner anyways. To me, dinner is the most important meal of the day."
