Cependant, il est avéré qu'il était nul autre que l'acide sulfurique concentré à l'acide chlorhydrique, comme vous le savez, le résultat a été désastreux, il a exposé et a  renversé sur mon visage, et j'ai presque perdu ma vue. Je savais que ce était tout délibérée car j'ai découvert plus tard que sur la bouteille à côté de celui que je voyais qui était marquée X, était également une autre marquée d'une croix, mais dans une nuance de rose, qui a été tourné de manière à ce que je ne serais pas capable de voir l'étiquette. "Cependant, M. Nguyen- le père de Jake a jeté tout le blâme sur ma mère et le père de Cynthia, et a échappé seul au Royaume-Uni après avoir changé son nom, laissant derrière lui ses camarades, qui furent bientôt exécutés. Leur souhait de mourir était de tuer le traître Nguyen, pour se venger de sa trahison; auquelle mon père a réussi, avec la mère veuve de Cynthia, après quelques années de sa poursuite au Royaume-Uni. Ils avaient déjà payé leur prix en étant sévèrement punis par la loi.

"Nous avons pensé que tout cela serait fini, mais j'ai appris plus tard que ce n'était pas le cas après qu'il y a quelques années quand j'ai vu dans les nouvelles de la disparition mystérieuse d'une descendente vietnamienne- Cynthia Ngo, la fiancée de Jake Nguyen. J'avait commencé à soupçonner que le fils vindicative du traître Nguyen avait commencé sa revanche.

"Après quelques recherches, j'ai découvert que Jake Nguyen était bien le fils de traître Nguyen, et avait décidé de se venger de la fille de Mme Ngo, qui a tué son père. Jake a découvert qu'ils ont déménagé en Angleterre et a rencontré Cynthia qui était sans méfiance. Il l'a charmée en utilisant ses moyens trompeurs et bientôt ils étaient sur le point de se marier. Puis, tout à coup, la nuit avant leur mariage, Jake, qui a travaillé dans un laboratoire de chimie, a affirmé qu'une affaire urgente l'a appelé, mais il a dû terminer son expérience ..... "

Trois jours après l'événement, Jake a reçu un appel téléphonique de Shaun, qui a prétendé d'avoir résolu le mystère, et a demandé au couple de visiter leur appartement à Londres, et d'apporter leur vieille servante- Hoa, avec eux.

Lorsque le couple est arrivé, Shaun était seul dans le salon et il leur a demandé de s'asseoir sur le canapé avec le dos à la porte. Jake n'a pas perdu de temps à enquêter sur le progrès de l'affaire urgente.

Le soir, les deux détectives ont été invités à rester pour le dîner, Jennifer a cuisiné une table entière de cuisine vietnamienne, dont elle a dit avoir appris de sa mère. Jennifer a crié, et la dame s'est retournée lentement pour révéler sa visage vide, puis a disparu. J'étais absolument ignorant de tout cela jusqu'au matin, quand Jennifer m'a dit. “It was actually really simple, but extremely confusing at first,” Jeffrey replied, “When we saw the faceless bride, we knew straight away that she was no ghost, after this many years of experience with ghosts, of course we were able to identify one when we see one. That was why we rushed out, but, could not find the bride.”

“Then, we concluded that the bride must be in hiding somewhere, but in the garden, there was no shrubbery big enough to conceal a person, so we knew that she must have either escaped the house, or gone into the house by some other route.” Shaun continued, “But we ruled out the possibility of her escaping, as we have noticed that the gate which led from the garden to the road creaks a lot when opened, but we didn’t hear anything.”

“Then, we saw the maid- Hoa appearing from another door, meaning that if the faceless bride had entered the house, it must have been through there.” Jeffrey said. “However, when Hoa was asked if she had seen ‘it’, she knew straightaway that we meant the faceless bride, which she couldn’t have done as she claimed to not have seen her. This indicates that she might be in this together with the faceless bride.”

“When we entered Hoa’s room through the kitchen, we discovered that there was a large wardrobe in the room, which was capable of concealing a person.” Shaun added, “Then, our suspicion was confirmed when we turned around, but at the corner of my eye, I saw the door of the wardrobe open slightly, and a face was peeping from inside.”

"Jake asked me to add a certain chemical, which he labelled X with a pink pen, to another chemical Y when the timer goes. He said that it'll be a slow reaction, and he'll be back just in time to record its results. However, it turned out that it was no other than concentrated sulfuric acid to hydrochloric acid, as you know, the result was disastrous, it exploded and went all over my face, and I nearly lost my sight. I knew that this was all deliberate as I found out later that on the bottle next to the one which I saw was labelled X, was also another one labelled with a cross, but in a lighter shade of pink, which was turned so that I won't be able to see the label. So, even if I tried to claim that Jake did it on purpose, he would have reason to say that I got the wrong chemical myself. And I have loved him too much to reveal his evil deed, so I went away and hid myself, determined never to see him again."

"It was 1980, five years after the end of the Vietnam War (or the American war, as we Vietnamese call it), my mother, Jake's father and Cynthia's father, who were spies working for the Americans, were caught by the Vietnamese government, of which the crime is punishable by death. 

"However, Jake's father- Mr Nguyen threw all the blame on my mother and Cynthia's father, and escaped to the UK alone after changing his name, leaving behind his comrades, who were soon executed. Their dying wish was to kill the traitor Nguyen, in revenge for his betrayal; in which my father succeeded, along with Cynthia's widowed mother, after some years of tracking him down in the UK. They had already paid their price by being punished severely by the law.

"We thought all this would come to an end, but I learnt afterwards that it was not the case. After I have seen in the news a few years back of the mysterious disappearance of a Vietnamese descendent- Jake Nguyen's fiancée- Cynthia Ngo; I had begun to suspect that the vindictive son of the traitor Nguyen had started his revenge.

Three days after the event, Jake received a phone call from Shaun, who claimed to have solved the mystery, and asked the couple to visit their London apartment, and to bring their old maid- Hoa, with them. 

When the couple arrived, Shaun was alone in the living room and he asked them to sit down on the sofa with the back to the door. Jake lost no time in inquiring after the progress of the urgent affair.

In the evening, the two detectives were invited to stay for dinner, Jennifer cooked a whole table of Vietnamese Cuisine, which she said to have learnt how to cook from her mother. It was when they were all enjoying the Pho (Vietnamese Noodle Soup) that Jennifer suddenly screamed as she pointed to the window. To everyone's horror, there was a figure standing there. From the interior light, one could vaguely see that she had long, braided hair down to her waist, was wearing a modern wedding dress, and had a blank face without eyes, looking into the dining room.

The following afternoon, Shaun and Jeffrey arrived at the villa of the Vietnamese couple in Birmingham.

"Sorry to interrupt, but was it always in your fiancé's absence that the faceless bride appeared?" Jeffrey inquired.

"At first it was, but Jake did see her once or twice, didn't you, Jake?" Jennifer said.

"Yes, I did, but in one of her less violent appearances I guess, I caught a glimpse of her outside the window, but she soon disappeared." Jake explained, "At first, I didn't think she was a ghost; however, the event last Friday night made me start to doubt myself. It was the day before our wedding, well, according to Jennifer, it was at about one o'clock when she heard a sound, she opened her eyes to see a figure of a lady in white in our bedroom, ripping her wedding dress, which was hung outside our wardrobe. Jennifer shouted, and the lady slowly turned around to reveal her blank face, and then disappeared. I was absolutely ignorant of all this until the morning when Jennifer told me. She said she did try and wake me when the incident occurred, but I was sleeping too soundly to hear her."

It was a long, dreary winter afternoon when Shaun received an E-mail of the following from his cousin.

"Dear Shaun,

How are you? It has been such a long time since I have last seen you, as I wasn't able to return to China last Chinese New Year. I hope everything is well for you in London, and please pay my sentiments to aunty and uncle when you call them next.

I know we're not in frequent correspondence, so you may be surprised to receive such an E-mail, in fact, I am writing to you on behalf of my friend who is currently entangled in a serious situation. Jennifer was going to get married last Saturday, however, her wedding was abruptly disrupted by an unfortunate appearance of this creepy bride spectre, whom Jennifer did not pay attention to until the incident of the night before the wedding, although she was aware of her presence for some time now. I have heard that you are quite skilled in solving puzzling cases that involve the supernatural, so, when Jennifer came to me for aid, I recommended you.

Sans avertissement, Alessia a donné le cambrioleur une sur-épaule-courrier, qui a abouti à ce dernier atterrir face vers le bas sur le plancher. Puis Alessia a cessé un parapluie, et a frappé sa tête et a éjecté son arme.

"Ça vous apprendra à ne pas gâcher mes cheveux et mon maquillage!" a dit d'un coup de ses cheveux la nouvelle espion. "Maintenant, je dois me mettre plus rouge à lèvres!"

"Alessia, tu n'es pas ici pour être belle, nous sommes dans une situation d'urgence!" a crié Claire.

"Je sais et suis désolée, mais ne sais-tu pas que la mise du maquillage augmente la conscience de soi et la confiance? Il est essentiel que j'aie mon maquillage pendant la mission!" a insisté Alessia.

Après son arrivée au lieu du crime anticipé, ce n'était pas longtemps après qu'elles aient reconnu le sac-à-main de millions dollars, qui a été placé dans une armoire en verre avec un coussin de velours.

"Mon dieu! Il est couvert de diamants!" ont écrié Luna et Alessia d'une seule voix. "Pas étonnant que les cambrioleurs voudraient mettre la main dessus!" a conclu Luna.

Without warning, Alessia gave the burglar an over-shoulder haul, which resulted in the latter landing face-down on the floor. Then Alessia grabbed hold of an umbrella, struck his head and kicked away his gun.

Claire and Alessia hid behind the counter in the dark, whilst keeping a watch-out on any slight movements.

After arriving at the scene of anticipated crime, it didn't take long for them to recognise the million-dollar handbag, which was placed in a glass cabinet with a velvet cushion.

嬌娃們來到犯罪現場不久後便馬上發現百萬元的名牌包所在玻璃櫃裡。

"OMG! It's covered with diamonds!" Luna and Alessia exclaimed in one voice. "No wonder burglars would want to get hold of it!" Luna concluded.

"Shhh! Silence is essential in the crime scene, we don't know when the burglars will come!" Eliza whispered in a warning voice.

The spies turned around to see two young girls of around 14 wearing spies outfit, however, it was extremely different to theirs, with a lower neckline, brighter colours and a tighter fit with fancier boots. 

嬌娃們轉身後發現兩位穿著嬌娃裝、大約十四歲的少女站在身後。可是，他們的嬌娃裝和 Claire 和 Eliza 的大不同～不僅顏色較鮮豔、領口也比較低。

"Claire and Eliza, may I introduce to you: Luna and Alessia, the new spies working for the PMSSO." Tom said, "And Luna and Alessia, this is your seniors- Claire and Eliza, who joined the PMSSO in 2012!"

Rapunzel, after hearing this, began to weep. Her sobs were so pitiful that even Lina, Jack's dog, who was shooed away by Rapunzel, came to sooth her by tugging at her skirt. 

羅鵬珠聽完了一切後便開始啜泣，她的樣子非常地楚楚可憐，讓被她趕走的狗狗麗娜也回來安撫她，輕輕地拉著她的裙擺。

"Oh why is the world such a cruel place!" Rapunzel said in-between her sobs, "Now I can understand Juliet's feelings in Romeo and Juliet. My only love is my only hate. Too early met unknown and known too late."

「噢，這個世界怎麼會如此的慘忍啊！」羅鵬珠邊啜泣邊說道。「我現在能理解茱麗葉的心情了。」

Suddenly, from behind some bushes, Jack the assistant appeared. 

突然，助理傑克從草叢後面竄出了來。

"Jack, whatcha doin' here?" Bob inquired, "I thought you ask'd me to come here, then your dog Lina dash'd ov'r to lick me, then this gaol came and shoo'd her away and kept callin' me Ernest. What does all this mean?"

「傑克？你在這兒做啥？」寶博問到。「你叫我來這個地方，結果你的狗麗娜突然殺出來舔我，然後這個女孩又出現把牠趕走，還一直叫我成實。這到底是怎麼一回事兒啊？」

"Jack Mortimer!" Rapunzel exclaimed, "What are you going here? What is happening?"

「傑克・摩提摩？」羅鵬珠叫道。「你為什麼會在這兒？現在是什麼情形？」

"Rapunzel, I....I'm so sorry. There is no Ernest....well, Ernest is me!" Jack tried to explain.

「羅鵬珠，我很抱歉。這裡沒有成實，成實就是我啊！」傑克是著解釋道。

"Well, I loved you from the moment I set my eyes upon you, however, the only emotion you've ever shown towards me was despise and reproach, and I can totally understand why, because you associate me with your Aunt, who treated you like an experiment." Jack continued, "I had been on this forum for a very long time, then when I saw that you joined as well, I decided to let you know me, without letting you know that it's me, so you won't have prejudice. 

「老實說，我看到你時就對你一見鍾情，然而，你對我只是覺得厭惡，我也完全理解原因，因為你把我想成跟你姑姑一樣，只是把你當成實驗品。」傑克繼續說。「我在這個論壇上已經很久了。當我看到你也加入了，我決定讓你理解我，但是不讓你知道我其實是誰，這樣你就可以撇開偏見。」

That afternoon, Rapunzel appeared in the glass tower at the appointed time, so she could see whether Ernest had arrived. 

那天下午，羅鵬珠在預定的時間出現在玻璃高塔上，看看成實到了沒。

One day, Gothel returned in seeing Rapunzel humming a tune whilst putting on make-up. 

有天，鼓瑟回來看到羅鵬珠正一邊哼著歌，一邊化妝。

"Looks like somebody's very cheerful today!" Gothel commented, "What's up? Have you finally overcame your acrophobia?"

「某人今天特別開心唷！」鼓瑟說。「怎樣？終於克服了懼高症啊？」

"Oh, aunty, will you please not mention my acrophobia for just one day?" Rapunzel replied, "It's nothing, I'm just in a very good mood, that's all." Gothel was not convinced.

「噢，姑姑，你可不可以一天別提我的懼高症啊？」羅鵬珠答道。「沒什麼啦，只是今天心情特別好！」鼓瑟並不相信她所聽到的。

Time flies, ten years had elapsed in a blink of an eye, Rapunzel soon turned from a little girl to a beautiful woman of eighteen, with long, golden hair, as Gothel never took her to the hairdressers since she started living in the tower. 

時光飛逝，轉眼間，羅鵬珠從一位小女孩變成了一位十八歲的妙齡少女。因為鼓瑟自從羅鵬珠搬進高塔裡後都沒有帶她去剪頭髮，所以，在十八歲時，她已留著一頭美麗長髮。

On Rapunzel's eighteenth birthday, she still went through the same routines every day. She went up onto the glass tower, stayed their for one hour, enjoying the warm rays of the morning sunshine. At least by now, she was no longer afraid to look across onto the other side of the river bank from the glass tower, however, she still dared not look down. Then after that, she opened a huge window in the glass tower and threw her long, braided threw the window, watching it drop. Again, this was her Aunt Gothel's idea: "If she sees her hair falling down and nothing happens to it, she'll soon overcome her acrophobia." 

在羅鵬珠十八歲生日那天，還是一樣每天做著重複的事情。每天一大早，她就走到玻璃塔上，待在那兒一小時，享受早晨溫暖的陽光。至少現在她已不再怕透過玻璃看著河流的對岸，然而她還是不敢往下看。之後，她將一個大窗戶打開，並將長長、綁辮子的秀髮從窗外往下丟；顯然，這也是鼓瑟的餿主意：「如果她每天看著自己的頭髮掉下去都沒事兒，很快地她就不會再有懼高症了！」鼓瑟心想。

In a small, faraway country, there lived a King, Queen and their eight-year-old daughter, Rapunzel. They were a happy family with everything that they could've wished for, and they were content with what they own and never complained. Their situation was envied by many, but due to their benevolent disposition, they had few, if any, enemies.

在一個遙遠的小國家，住著國王、王后以及他們八歲的女兒～羅鵬珠。他們一家非常幸福，沒有什麼是他們沒有的。這一家人也很知足，從來不會抱怨。他們是許多人羨慕的對象，但是，因為他們善良的天性，所以沒有什麼敵人。

One day, the family boarded their private jet to go on a vacation in Hawaii.

Playmobil Detectives: The Switching Hour-7 (Final Ending) 摩比神探之換魂記-7（大結局）

To everyone's utter astonishment, the figure of Claire in front of them suddenly transformed into that of an Indian woman, wearing a strange hat.

突然間，大家眼前的 Claire 變身成一位戴著奇怪帽子的印度少女。

"Oh, really? Is the world really fair? Will it ever be fair?" the Indian girl spoke in a trembling voice. "It's easy for you to say, as a privileged girl, growing up in a presumably rich family, your only worry being what to wear to go to school, or whether you are invited to prom. But it was very different for me. As a daughter of a servant to a wealthy British merchant living in India, my family may appear to be very privileged, having a decent monthly income, being taught to speak English, and seemed to be above others in the Indian society. However, that was all just an illusion. In reality, we were not only looked down upon by our masters, but were also secretly despised by our native relatives. On the surface, they seemed to respect us, but, deep down, they regard us as traitors to our motherland.

「是嗎？老天爺真的很公平嗎？」印度少女用著顫抖的聲音說。「你說起來可容易了。你生長在這麼好的環境裡，對你來說，恐怕唯一的煩惱只不過是每天要穿什麼去上學、擔心沒有人邀請你參加舞會。可是，對身為一位富有的英國商人的僕人的女兒來說，就沒這麼容易了。表面上，我們好像挺好過的，有著不錯的收入、會說英語、也好像社會地位比別人都高。然而，那只不過是個幻影罷了。事實上，我們不僅被主人們看不起，就連自己的親戚都不屑我們。表面上，他們對我們畢恭畢敬的，但是，他們內心裡卻認為我們是祖國的叛徒。」

The moment the false Claire stepped out of the house, Eliza immediately began searching the entire house for the legendary necklace, starting from Claire's room. However, after hours of searching, everything turned out to be in vain. 

Claire 前腳才踏出家門，Eliza 便開始努力地尋找傳說中的項鍊，從 Claire 的房間開始。然而，經過了好幾個小時的搜尋，仍然毫無結果。

After confirming the fact that the old lady was, in fact, not insane, but was indeed Claire. They sat down and began to discuss the affair together. 

確認過老太太其實沒有發瘋，而事實上是Claire時。他們便坐下來討論整件事情。

"Okay, Claire." Shaun said, "Tell us exactly what happened on the night when your body and the old lady's switched. Do not miss any detail."

「Claire，告訴我們那天你的身體被換走時的整個過程。任何細節都別漏掉！」孝恩說。

"It was all very blurry, maybe because the old woman's memory isn't very sharp, but thank God memory follows the soul, so I still remember a little." Claire, in the form of the old lady continued, "When Shaun and Jeffrey were lured outside on a wrong scent, I was left alone in the house with the old lady. I was tapping on my when she came close to me and asked me if I wanted to take a walk with her. I agreed, and near the park area, she suddenly claimed to be dizzy and grabbed hold of my arm. Then I became very dizzy, felt unable to breath and everything swirled around me. Then I lost consciousness."

「整個記憶的模模糊糊的，不知道是不是因為那個老太太的記性已經不太好了，但是幸好記憶是跟著靈魂的，所以我多少還記得一些。」Claire 從老太太的身體說。「當孝恩和傑佛瑞被騙出去後，我便獨自和老太太在客廳裡。我在滑手機時，她突然靠過來問我要不要跟她一起出去走走兒。我同意了。在公園時，她突然間說她頭暈，便抓著我的手臂。結果我就開始覺得整個暈眩，而且無法呼吸，整個公園在我眼前不停地旋轉。然後，我就失去意識了。」

"Did the old lady say or do anything that appeared to be weird at the time?" Shaun inquired.

「老太太有對你說或做什麼奇怪的事嗎？」孝恩問道。

"Hum, oh yes, when she came closer to me in this living room, she said I had very fair skin, looks pretty and has beautiful hair. I was quite taken aback by her sudden compliments." 

「嗯～～有耶！她靠近我時，說我的皮膚很好、長得很美、頭髮也很烏黑。我當時被她突如其來的讚美嚇了一跳。」

"Anything else?"

「還有嗎？」

"No, not that I can remember."

「其他我沒有印象。」

"What should we do with the old lady who claimed herself to be Ms Foster?" Shaun whispered to Jeffrey quietly as they brought the old lady back home, "She seems to think now she is Claire! Do you think she's a bit out of her mind. The story she told us could've all been her imaginations."

「我們該怎麼處理這位瘋老太太啊？」他們把老太太送回自己家裏後，孝恩小聲地對傑佛瑞說。「她覺得自己是 Claire 啊！我覺得她好像精神有些失常。她告訴我們的故事可能都只是她的幻想。」

"Very true! She does seem to be a bit around the bend and the story seemed quite extraordinary." Jeffrey replied in a low voice, "However, she seemed to be completely sane, and there was nothing peculiar in her speech to indicate her insanity. We should investigate this further."

「是沒錯啦！她的確有些神經錯亂，還有那個故事也有些誇張。」傑佛瑞壓低聲音回答道。「然而，她感覺起來精神狀況挺穩定地，而她說話也很正常啊。我們得再深入調查。」

"But what if she's really mad?" Shaun glanced at the old lady and responded, "We don't want to have a crazy old nanny in our house. We don't know what she might do! It's best if we contact someone from the asylum."

「那要是她真的是瘋子怎麼辦？」孝恩喵了老太太一眼後說。「有個瘋狂老太太住在我們家也太危險了吧？我們根本無法預料她會做什麼。我們還是得通知相關機構才行。」

After a long time of searching for the address, which the old lady Ms Foster gave it to them, of the house, they had no success. Suddenly, Jeffrey had an idea, he took out his phone and searched the address. To his astonishment, he discovered that such a place doesn't even exist. 

經過了一番仔細地找尋福斯特小姐給他們的地址的房屋，傑佛瑞和孝恩什麼也找不到。突然，傑佛瑞靈機一動，拿出了手機搜尋地址後才赫然發現，原來這個地址根本就不存在！

"We'd better return home," Shaun concluded, "It's either that the old lady had forgotten her previous address, or that what she had been telling us had all been her imagination."

「我們得趕緊回家了！」孝恩說。「現在只有兩種可能：不是老太太忘記了地址，就是這些根本都是她幻想的！」

"Either, there's nothing worse than leaving an insane lady in your home," Jeffrey exclaimed as they hurried home.

「無論如何，我們都不應該留著一位精神異常的老太太在我們家！」傑佛瑞答道。

"Having confirmed her to be the owner, I courteously welcomed her in. After I have prepared two cups of warm herbal tea for us both, the old lady commenced the topic of conversation on the necklace, requesting to see it in order to verify its identity. Until then, I hadn’t noticed that all this time, I was gripping the necklace firmly in my hand, as if protecting something precious. Gradually, I drew it out as the old lady extended her hand. To my distress and amazement, my hand swiftly retreated and a feeling of extreme reluctance to return it empowered me, until my senses snapped back and I maladroitly dropped the necklace on the table. Then, everything returned to normal.

「確認了她就是項鍊之主後，我趕緊請她進來。我準備了兩杯花茶後，老太太便提到了項鍊，說希望確認是不是她的那一條。直到這時，我才注意到這些時間，我的手一直緊握著項鍊，似乎在保護什麼珍貴的東西一般。緩緩地，我將項鍊拿向老太太伸出的手。令我驚訝的事，我的手迅速地又縮了回去，並突然非常不願意將項鍊歸還。很快地，我回過神來，但是笨手笨腳地讓項鍊掉在了桌上。頓時，一切又恢復了正常。

"Driving home on the deafeningly noiseless road, the feeble ray of my headlight was alive with dust as it chased away layers of darkness. Overhead, the sky was half crystalline, half misty, and the atmosphere was chill and vibrant with rich tension. High above, ringed all about with a sickly yellow glare, the sinking moon struggled in vain to escape from a pursuing cloud.

「我開著車子在鴉雀無聲地回家的路上，靠著微弱的大燈照亮我的路。那天晚上的天空充滿了神秘的氣氛。一個暗黃色的滿月高掛在天上，時而被雲朵蓋住，時而又露臉，彷彿和雲朵在玩捉迷藏。
